I've been to this place before for a couple screen repairs & the first time was fine but the second time I went in they told me the amount of time needed to repair my phone would take 2-3 days maximum. It ended up taking exactly 7 days for them to fix it. I just got my phone back today & now my front camera doesn't work so I have to schedule an appointment with apple because I don't trust these guys anymore. They're like a shady mechanic, everytime you try to get something fixed a new defect occurs. Save yourself the stress and just go to apple. UPDATE: I'm having the same issue I had when I took my phone to these guys initally. It's only been a month and I haven't even dropped my phone yet but I'm experiencing the same issue(phone won't recognize my touch). If you need your phone permanantly fixed, GO TO APPLE! read more

I'm going to start by saying that I've been to this location in the past for an iPhone 5s screen repair, and had no problems. I returned a year later for an iPhone 6s screen repair, and had a traumatic experience. Unfortunately, there were numerous issues I experienced with their service. It will be easier to list them, as I have done below. 1) They fixed my phone in 30 mins, but before you applaud them...I drove all the way home to realize my screen lost the "sensor" feature that blacks out the screen while you are on the phone to avoid the following accidents: muting, speaker, three-way, and ending calls--all things I experienced in the short few hours after arriving home. 2) I called them back right away to inform them my phone had lost this feature and I would like to bring it back immediately for repair. I didn't receive an apology for the inconvenience. Quite frankly, by the tone of his voice, Jeff sounded as if I was inconveniencing him--the store was closing within an hour. 3) I arrived at the store and waited patiently for Jeff to fix the issue THEY created. He failed after two attempts, returns my phone to me and says "it could be a software issue". My intelligence was insulted; how could anyone think for a second, that after getting their screen fixed, and the screen losing features, that it just so happens to be a "software issue". Again, Jeff did not apologize, nor did he show remorse, or accountability. He told me there was nothing he could do at the moment, that I should update my software and come back. I spent the rest of the evening hanging up on people, and accidentally muting myself. Btw, my software update did not resolve the issue (thank you Jeff for the professional technical advice). 4) The next day, I called the store asking for Ethan--the original sales rep/mgr that attended me. Ethan was much more understanding and professional; he guaranteed me that my iphone would be fixed by the end of the day if I brought it in. I did just that. Unfortunately, his guarantee was not a guarantee. As it turns out, they had replaced my 6s screen with a 6 screen--intentionally. I know this because they said they would let me know when the screen comes in shipment. Wait...what? If you didn't have the part, why would you install the improper screen? No words. 5)This was first, but I saved it for last, they charged me $140 claiming they were giving me a $20 discount. Yes, I received a refund, but as it turns out, Apple Stores only charges $129. Wow. They returned my phone to me with my old broken screen (you know, the 6s screen), and my "sensor" function returned. I will be taking my phone to Apple in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (new location) for repairing. I think I can trust Apple to use the right screen. P.S., I completely omitted the part where Ethan originally wanted to charge me $160 claiming the 6s screen is more expensive. You mean the 6s screen that you never placed into my phone? Where to begin with my wonderful experience with Phonegeeksnyc? I am prone to breaking my phone. In fact, I have done it four times. It's a costly mistake that frustrates me and everyone around me, which is why, when I shattered the screen on my new phone yesterday morning, I called every glass-fixing service I could find in the hopes of getting it repaired before anyone saw what I had done. That, coupled with how easy it was to watch the whole reparation process for myself, made my experience very stress-free. My Sony XZ Premium's charging port is not working properly. Concerning the uncommon model, I requested a quote in advance and provided the model name. At first Ethan said I can drop my phone on that day but it would take a few days (!) to wait for the parts. But he kindly offered to order the parts first, then I can come after it arrived.
