These guys are the best in the business!…read more Fantastic service! After the Apple Genius Bar couldn't fix my MacBook and I ended up buying a new laptop, I brought my old one here for a second opinion. They diagnosed the problem and had it working again in under 20 minutes--and didn't charge me a thing. Honest, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. They turned what I thought was a lost cause into a great experience. I highly recommend them to anyone with Mac or tech issues. Thank you for the outstanding service! Big thanks to Kai!!!

However, while Mike's is probably good for some services, it's not a real replacement for an actual Genius apptmt at an Apple Store - despite Apple present it as such. In other words, Mike shows up when you go to book a genius appointment in Manhattan, which makes it appear as an equal alternative to going to an Apple Store. However, in many cases, the Apple Store genius would be able to solve or fix problems while you're there, whereas Mike's would have taken my device and returned it a few days later. For that reason, I say maybe. I would suggest anyone considering going to Mike's call them first to determine how much time it would take to deal with whatever issues have arisen. I found the staff not friendly at all,,,as if I was imposing on them. Plus I had to wait for my pre-scheduled appointment for more than 1/2 hour. In the end, the woman who helped me did solve my issue b/c it did not require me to leave my device. If they had determined I had to leave the device, I would have opted to go to an Apple Store for a real Genius appointment.

CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE-- AVOID. Took iPhone in to get a simple repair of getting my charging port…read morereplaced. Told it would take 90 min and cost $140. 2 hours later, I call to see if it's ready for pick up and the guy tells me it's gonna be another $50 because he found something wrong with the "motherboard." NOTE: The phone was working great except for the charging port, which was unreliable, when I brought it in. Because the guy had me by the balls at that point, I told him to just fix whatever and get the phone back as soon as possible. Two or three hours later, he was finally finished. When I picked up the phone, it no longer worked at all! It kept turning on and off and the screen was completely distorted. When I confronted him, he started screaming at me and physically pushed me out of the store and locked the door and told me because I was not nice abt him breaking my $1000 phone, he will not help me. He told me to go ahead and call the police. His name is Ken. He is a violent, phony and untrustworthy criminal scammer. This is THE SINGLE WORST experience I have had at any business in NY in 30 years.

First off, id like to say that I had high hopes for this company. After all these "positive"…read morereviews, I finally gave them a shot. First attempt was when I called to ask how much to fix my older Imac . They basically said they didn't want to do it, that it wasn't worth it.... to them. For a business, I found that weird since customers are the ones paying for a service. I said, ok no problem. Still felt weird about it, but no big deal. There are other iMac repair places available that apparently like business. Then my wife's iPhone X needed a screen repair. I called ahead and specifically asked them for a price and was told $119 by someone named Juvencio. No other comments were made to me, no other questions. My wife takes the phone in later in the day and upon pick up is charged $151. She then tells me that she was not happy with the aftermarket super thick screen, and the colored variation of the glass. She lets whoever handed the phone over know, and then they tell her thats how it is and that original is $300+ . This was never mentioned upon dropping off before the service. THEN she gets the bill for $151. They're assumption that we wouldn't pay for an original glass makes me wonder again about their business practices. So we paid, a service was performed, and rightfully so the bill was paid. Im glad this happened to us because I USED to recommend this place to friends without having actually been a customer, but long time Ridgewood resident. Unfortunately once I needed work to be done, it wasnt as good as I had hoped for. Be aware that there are tons of PC and Mac places around, dont find the location a reason to be lazy to get a proper fix with ethical practices.

With luck they had a same day appointment available for later in the day. A quick phone convo, and confirmation, and the tech, Dmitri, arrived promptly on time. I explained the problem to Dmitri, and showed him the issue at hand. He was confident that he could fix the major mess, and quickly went to diagnosis the problem. He was completely professional and worked diligently. Considering I had been without internet and dealing with this problem for some time I was happy to have someone attend to it. I'll admit it felt kind of touch and go there as we both put our heads together for a solution, and then he reached out to his boss and another network tech, and a little light bulb went off over his head and then he really went into a flurry of work. All in all in less than an hour, Dmitri had fixed a major headache of mine. He did it professionally, and with a problem-solving determination. I would definitely use this service again (but will hopefully never end up in this predicament again.)
