So, when I called and scheduled one, I usually expect the worse and hope for the best, but the moment Thomas showed up and knew exactly what to do and what I wanted done, I was pleasantly surprised. The job he did was amazing and my Son is so happy now that his gaming and TV and electronics that are all networked together are working perfectly. As an added bonus, Thomas worked on a networking issue on my computer and all within one hour, he created a great working system. Tamas determined that Optimum and Verizon technicians incorrectly installed patches that were short term fixes and left behind "the other guy's" cables and connectors that were not connected. In fact, the Verizon Extender was not transmitting a signal and was merely a fixture on the mantle below the tv. Not only did Tamas clean up the mess others left behind, but he patiently explained what he was doing every step of the process. The process went like this: 1) Very clear initial communication. Kevin made sure that everything would be ready to go when he arrived to do the job so that he is not wasting his or your time and money. 2) Was not sure what to get but Kevin provided a clear shopping list of materials needed that were easy to procure... I believe the only thing I did have to begin with was the projector which we bought before contacting him. 3) Day of install Kevin showed up and worked quickly and efficiently (with great vibe too!), to get everything done. Was impressed with how clean he was able to make everything look because we had to run some cables for audio etc... over a pretty significant amount of wall space. They were amazing. They evaluated my current system, which is also integrated into an AV system, wrote up a proposal which I accepted. The system they installed is amazing. I have never had as good a WiFi system in terms of strength of signal, speed and reliability. As important, this Smart Start does what they say they will do without any surprises. They call when they say they will call, show up for appointments on time and really back up their services. In my case there has been nothing to do, since their system is working perfectly, but Smart Start Network has followed up a couple of times in the first 30 days after installation to make sure I was 100% satisfied. If you have a WiFi system you want installed, or have an existing system you would like upgraded I would highly recommend Smart Start Network. Lastly, Phil was the senior technician on my job and was phenomenal. Gina works in the office and is fantastic as well. This is my first Yelp review. I felt compelled to endorse this company because they are a breath of fresh air in NYC, where quality of product and service are often hard to find!
