I made an account just to write this review for a wonderful person named Rami! After downloading a virus from scam artists looking for a ridiculous amount of money to remove it (yes they do exist) I found myself on yelp trying to find someone to help me fix my computer that was basically useless because the virus had taken over my internet. Rami was super nice and know good customer service from offering me coffee/tea when I just came through snow to really placing emphasis on teaching me new things to avoid being in a situation like this in the future. He spent hours on my laptop to make sure it was in tip top shape and here I am on my laptop with the internet running great. He introduced to great virus protection and helped me re-install my Microsoft Office I accidentally uninstalled trying to remove the virus myself. His price was great and his personality even greater. As an recent college grad looking for work I don't have money to just throw around, so going to Rami was taking a risk. But it was well worth it. If anyone has any issues with their electronics and need a good laugh ... go to NYPC Geeks! I opened an account with Yelp just to review NYPC Geeks. Can't say enough good things! Rami has been fantastic. After being laid-off from my job and all-of-a-sudden depending on my home PC as a life-line for job hunting, I took my 6 year old lap top to him and he cleaned and upgraded it enough for me to use while I did some research on buying a new one (all for a minimal diagnostic fee). Rami took the time to review with me different makes and models on line and suggested what specs would fit my particular needs and price point. He also told me to text or call him anytime if I had any questions. He always responded very quickly. When I finally settled on a new lap top, I called Rami to make an appointment to set it up and copy my files. Rami offered to come to me instead of carrying both computers to him. I live in Brooklyn so this was a huge help. Talk about customer service! As the other reviewers have mentioned, customer service is excellent! I rarely give any service 5 stars, but Rami and NYCPC Geeks deserve it; the service was top notch. I called in the morning and within a few hours Rami came over. My all-in-one computer started showing the blue screen "dead_pool_caller; I checked and updated all the drivers as Microsoft instructed on web site and through various internet searches. Did not help, then different blue screens started to pop up. In the end, my computer prompted me to conduct a recovery - which resulted in the computer locking in a blue screen mode: Your PC/device needs to be repaired. After searching NYC PC repair sites, I came across the NYCPC Geeks listing in Yelp. Cannot say enough good things about the service, Rami is technically savvy; professional; a good instructor if you ask him questions; and gets the job done asap. So...I own a wine store in Manhattan. I come in Saturday morning to open and lo and behold my PC - which also serves as my register - is as dead as a doornail. Now weekends are typically my busiest days of the week so naturally I start to sweat as I call Dell customer support. After an hour and a half on the phone we diagnose the problem: the power transformer is dead and I need a new one. Keep in mind that this is a Saturday and I need my register to be up and running asap....I am turning away customers....Dell refers me to the NYPC Geeks guy on Christopher St and BAM! ..in 15 minutes he has his head under my register and has installed a new power supply. I'm a repeat customer of NYPC Geeks. Rami installed an over the air HD antenna for us in Manhattan two years ago (anyone else cutting cable??). The signal is shared by all the television units in the apartment. A few days later, he came back with a smaller and cheaper antenna that works better than the original and didn't charge me for the visit. Another project Rami did for us was to install a DVR system with remote internet access for our CCTV. This DVR system exceeded my expectations at a very reasonable price. I feel like the old CCTV system now has a brain and is actually alive! Rami is professional, very knowledgeable, and honest. Didn't feel like paying $200 and wasting hours to fix a virus on my computer so I searched around and found NYPC on yelp. Glad I trusted everyone else's reviews. Rami (sp?) was very friendly and knowledgable- he talked me through each step he took to fix my computer. Turns out I didn't have a virus but some sort of software "took over" my internet- as he explained. He gave me tips for the future on how to not get myself into the same situation again, as well as recommending better software to install. All in all, my computer was fixed quickly and at an affordable price. If I ever run into computer issues again I will absolutely return to him! read more

Great customer service and great results, I am actually writing my first review ever. I am so happy with NYPC Geeks from my first telephone call I was treated courteously by a real human being and not by answering machine :) I wanted someone to come and help me with my printer in the West village. I have had several issues with my 2 computers over the last few years. It seemed as if they never actually got fixed. The simply were appeased for a few months. I stumbled upon this company while searching for some service providers in my area and received an estimate. It turned out the technician was not kidding when he said they had the lowest priced estimates in the area.
