I purchased a fairly sophisticated alarm system from Mitchell over two years ago. I initially…read morereached out to him because I wanted more than the "2 doors and 1 motion detector" intro package offered by the national chains. Mitchell came to my home and we spent hours designing a system including not only all of the typical stuff such as door and window sensors and motion detectors, but also glass break monitors and water alarms for the laundry room and sump pump areas. Mitchell did not "sell" any of this stuff to me. I asked for it and we designed an excellent system together. The reason that I am writing the review today is because this is the first time that I have spoken to Mitchell in over two years. I received an alert on my control pad that a battery was low and I didn't know which device needed the new battery. I called Mitchell on his cell phone. He picked up on the second ring. I had the battery in a drawer and he identified the device and walked me through the battery change over the phone. This tells you a couple of things: 1. The equipment that Mitchell sold to me over 2 years ago works without issue. I literally have had not spoken to him in over 2 years because I have NEVER had a problem. My big problem today was that I needed a new battery. I'm OK with that. 2. Mitchell answers his phone. He is extremely responsive and knowledgeable. Mitchell is a good guy. He knows what he is doing and he sells good stuff. I recommend him without hesitation.

He suggested we troubleshoot over the phone before sending a technician to my house. Since the equipment is old, he had to send a technician after all. While I was waiting for the technician to arrive, I fiddled with the settings and ended up resolving the issue on my own. What really stood out to me was the honesty--both Mitchell and the technician could have easily said I needed new equipment or upgrade or unnecessary work, but instead they were supportive and completely upfront. Very fair, trustworthy, and refreshing to deal with a company that operates with integrity. Highly recommend for your security needs!

He connected the wire on my Ring Doorbell to my electrical outlet and taped the wire very neatly along the ceiling. It is now intertwined with my cable wire and you can not even see it. Also, he was very neat and careful not to make a mess. Nothing was left on the floor when he left. My residence was left organized and clean as he found it, and he took the time to explain the features of this new system. Furthermore, he reassured me that if I should encounter any issues, I should not hesitate to contact him. Grace (who answered the phone) was very knowledgeable about what I wanted and arranged an appointment at my convenience. Avner came to survey the areas I wanted for camera installation. He answered all my questions in a professional and experienced manner. He described what options I had in terms of wiring and recommended the best area(s) to place the security monitor. Avner was also the first person who provided a quick written estimate that included the brand name of the merchandise he was planning to use. Grace called later to inquire if I had any more questions about the installation. The price quoted was affordable and within the range I had been quoted by other companies. Based on the quality of customer service I had received thus far, I hired them to complete the job. Avner and Hugo exceeded my expectations on the day of service. Hugo worked tirelessly all day to install the required wiring and cameras. It was very important to me that the wires would not be all over the place as I had seen on many security cameras' websites. Hugo DID NOT disappoint. He surveyed the areas where the cameras were to be placed, and contemplated the best way to install them with a minimal use of wires and be inconspicuous. Avner connected the monitor to the DVR and explained its use in layman's terms. Hugo was very accommodating and would not leave until we were 100 % satisfied with the installation. Moreover, the cameras that were installed provided a clear crisp picture. I find the Security Camera NY was very efficient and thorough from the initial contact to the completion of the job. A year's warranty on labor and parts, free training and support is included in the price. The installation includes a connection to Internet they may be remotely viewed from any PC and any smartphone. I would strongly recommend you hire them. You can't do any better than Security Camera NY.

I called a few locksmiths about it. Initially, Johnny told me they could not come today, but then his partner called shortly after and said they could. It seems like the company is not well-coordinated, and I ended up having to look elsewhere for help. I hope they improve their internal communication and reliability for future customers.

Very disappointing experience with both the pricing and communication…read more I scheduled an appointment for 4:00 PM, but the company failed to communicate that time to the locksmith. I arrived at 4:00 PM as agreed, only to be told by the technician that he thought the appointment was at 5:30 PM. He ultimately showed up at 5:00 PM, leaving me waiting an hour due to poor communication. The pricing was even more frustrating. I was initially quoted $409, including a $125 service fee, to replace a lock on my apartment door. In reality, the technician only needed to replace a small brass lock cylinder, not the entire locking mechanism. The entire job took approximately five minutes. After pushing back on the price, I negotiated it down to $300. That's $300 for five minutes of work and a basic lock cylinder replacement, after initially being quoted $409. While the technician completed the job, the combination of poor communication, an hour-long delay, and what I consider extremely excessive pricing made this a very frustrating experience. I would strongly recommend getting quotes from other locksmiths before using this company.
