My network set up was in a catastrophic shape due to an unruly house guess. I yelled the company,…read moreand almost instantly got a response. With luck they had a same day appointment available for later in the day. A quick phone convo, and confirmation, and the tech, Dmitri, arrived promptly on time. I explained the problem to Dmitri, and showed him the issue at hand. He was confident that he could fix the major mess, and quickly went to diagnosis the problem. He was completely professional and worked diligently. Considering I had been without internet and dealing with this problem for some time I was happy to have someone attend to it. I'll admit it felt kind of touch and go there as we both put our heads together for a solution, and then he reached out to his boss and another network tech, and a little light bulb went off over his head and then he really went into a flurry of work. All in all in less than an hour, Dmitri had fixed a major headache of mine. He did it professionally, and with a problem-solving determination. I would definitely use this service again (but will hopefully never end up in this predicament again.)

The technician diagnosed the problem as a defective screen and insinuates that I might have dropped the computer or spilled liquid on it ! How can a brand new screen go bad after 10 months unless it was a recycled or generic one yet charging brand name price ? Sorry to have tried to support a local business. It will be Apple a block away next time. David C

I contacted this company that my friend recommended since I was having some issues with computer …read more Their response time was very fast which I was happy about since I can't survive without my computer. At first I thought maybe it was something simple since I'm not very tech savvy but after the guy came I realized there was some damage but the IT guy was super knowledgeable. I hate when you call some IT company and they know less than you. He gave me some options which I appreciated since sometimes all they want is what is more convenient for them not my pocket. I was very happy I called them since they were fast, professional and got my problem solved.

I had a WiFi network installed by professionals that never worked well and after multiple visits…read morefrom them, many of them where they charged me, I just got so frustrated I called Smart Start Networks. They were amazing. They evaluated my current system, which is also integrated into an AV system, wrote up a proposal which I accepted. The system they installed is amazing. I have never had as good a WiFi system in terms of strength of signal, speed and reliability. As important, this Smart Start does what they say they will do without any surprises. They call when they say they will call, show up for appointments on time and really back up their services. In my case there has been nothing to do, since their system is working perfectly, but Smart Start Network has followed up a couple of times in the first 30 days after installation to make sure I was 100% satisfied. If you have a WiFi system you want installed, or have an existing system you would like upgraded I would highly recommend Smart Start Network. Lastly, Phil was the senior technician on my job and was phenomenal. Gina works in the office and is fantastic as well. This is my first Yelp review. I felt compelled to endorse this company because they are a breath of fresh air in NYC, where quality of product and service are often hard to find!

Efficient and honest…read more My Samsung A52 would not charge. IFix took it in, and the next day charged a very reasonable $85 for repair. The elegant young man showed me how the phone was bowed; slightly bent lengthwise -- probably from sitting with out on my back pocket. I was happy to avoid the almost $500 cost of replacing the phone; the only choice that the T- Mobile store offered (after a long ad pretty dismissive wait to answer my questions) But the next day, after running morning errands, the same problem returned. Back to iFix. A cordial and friendly reception once again -- and when I picked up the phone; sure enough -- no charge!

I had a very disappointing experience with iFix NY Midtown regarding my ROG Ally X repair…read more Last Tuesday, they texted me saying they had diagnosed an issue with the left analog stick controller board assembly, which was affecting input and control response. They said the repair would include replacing the left analog stick controller board assembly to restore functionality. The quoted cost was $230 + tax, with an estimated turnaround time of 2-5 business days. After that, I had to call almost every day just to get updates. Then today, I received a different message saying they had received replacement parts, but not the full set. They said they could replace the damaged analog sticks themselves, but were still waiting for the round LED light rings around the sticks. They also said they could return the device with the controllers functional, but the left stick would have no LED light ring. That was concerning because the original diagnosis and quote were for the left analog stick controller board assembly, but the later message described replacing the analog sticks themselves and leaving the LED ring unfinished. For $230 + tax, I do not think a partial or incomplete repair is acceptable. When I went to pick up the device, I had already called and was told it was ready. But when I arrived, I still had to wait around 30 minutes while they reassembled it. That is not "ready for pickup." To be fair, the owner was there and was kind, apologetic, and professional. My issue was not with him. My issue was with the repair technician handling my device. His attitude was horrendous, and the interaction felt careless and unprofessional. The worst part is that after testing my ROG Ally X in-store, the left trigger felt worse than before, and the light around the stick was no longer working. I brought the device in for a specific repair, and I left feeling like it had been returned with new problems. As someone who runs a tech company and understands customer service, I was shocked by how poorly the repair side of this was handled. I had other products I was considering bringing to them, but after this experience, I will not be returning. A kind owner cannot make up for a disorganized, incomplete, and careless repair process.
