We needed to replace and upgrade a failing wired security system that we had installed in 1990. We felt completely comfortable from our first phone call to Alyssa and Rob who explained patiently, and in great detail, what would be involved and what choices we could make. Within 2 weeks we had a new upgraded wireless system, installed by two amazing young men: Nate and Jason, who in the space of 4 hours, finished the install, explained each step, and left the house spotless. Our concerns about possible damage in removing the old equipment and installing the attractive new system was unfounded: you would never know that any work had been done. After the install, Rob followed up with a detailed complete tutorial on how to use the system most effectively, and strongly encouraged us to stay in touch if any questions or problems arise in the future. We would highly recommend the team at Berman Home Systems.

Before coming across Berman, we had planned to extend our contract with one of the larger security…read morecompanies since our house already had an existing alarm system. However, when Rob Berman visited to plan out our wifi system, we discussed security and it became clear that he was extremely knowledgeable about the intricacies of security. He pointed out several major flaws in our existing system, which made it easy for someone to enter our home undetected. Rob took us on a walkthrough of our house to assess the requirements for installing a new system. Later that evening, we received a quote which we accepted immediately. The installation team was professional, detail-oriented, and kept us informed throughout the installation process. Rob made multiple visits to ensure everything was going smoothly and even took the time on a Saturday morning to walk us through every aspect of the system. Overall, we are thrilled with the work done by Berman. The installation team paid attention to every little detail and Rob's personal involvement in the project was appreciated. We feel secure and safe in our home and would highly recommend Berman to anyone looking for a top-notch security system.

They took the time to explain our options, made some great recommendations, gave us a fair price, and did a seamless install in a 110 year old house. I spend substantial time on the road. For the first time I feel like my family is 100% safe and secure while I'm gone. This company has the expertise and professional demeanor that set them apart from other vendors. Our expectations were substantially exceeded.

I purchased a fairly sophisticated alarm system from Mitchell over two years ago. I initially…read morereached out to him because I wanted more than the "2 doors and 1 motion detector" intro package offered by the national chains. Mitchell came to my home and we spent hours designing a system including not only all of the typical stuff such as door and window sensors and motion detectors, but also glass break monitors and water alarms for the laundry room and sump pump areas. Mitchell did not "sell" any of this stuff to me. I asked for it and we designed an excellent system together. The reason that I am writing the review today is because this is the first time that I have spoken to Mitchell in over two years. I received an alert on my control pad that a battery was low and I didn't know which device needed the new battery. I called Mitchell on his cell phone. He picked up on the second ring. I had the battery in a drawer and he identified the device and walked me through the battery change over the phone. This tells you a couple of things: 1. The equipment that Mitchell sold to me over 2 years ago works without issue. I literally have had not spoken to him in over 2 years because I have NEVER had a problem. My big problem today was that I needed a new battery. I'm OK with that. 2. Mitchell answers his phone. He is extremely responsive and knowledgeable. Mitchell is a good guy. He knows what he is doing and he sells good stuff. I recommend him without hesitation.

He suggested we troubleshoot over the phone before sending a technician to my house. Since the equipment is old, he had to send a technician after all. What really stood out to me was the honesty--both Mitchell and the technician could have easily said I needed new equipment or upgrade or unnecessary work, but instead they were supportive and completely upfront. Very fair, trustworthy, and refreshing to deal with a company that operates with integrity. Highly recommend for your security needs!

He completed both with the same professionalism and skill, and I couldn't be happier with the results. They keep insisting they never received written notice, an unreasonable requirement that they didn't even mention until I'd already been battling them by phone for a year. I've given them that notice multiple times but they keep saying they never got written notice. This scammy behavior seems to be a pretty consistent thing with them judging by the other reviews. So, fight fire with fire. I recently discovered that some banks (not all) allow you to permanently block a specific vendor from charging your credit card, permanently. Glory be! This is better than cancelling your card, because they still get to charge you for 150 days after cancellation. If you do business with this company, do NOT give them any checking or credit card account numbers unless the bank provides this service. When you want to cancel service, call your bank and put that block in place right away. Then there's no need to waste your time trying to get them to cancel, because they won't, EVER, no matter what you do.
