I hired them to "wall mount a few TVs and hook up my receiver" in my new apartment and Doron came in with much better ideas - "why not do all new speakers in the ceiling?" This made me excited but also skeptical - is this the classic upsell? But no, all of the prices were extremely reasonable, the work went smoothly with excellent communication, and when there were hiccups with the TV hookups (Verizon FIOS network clashed with my home mesh internet system and provided a huge headache), Doron and Jonathan put in the extra time to make sure everything was perfect and never thought twice about it, at no extra charge to me. I hired them for an add-on project to install a TV on my roof, which was a fun AV/construction puzzle that they solved beautifully. It's really clear these guys know what they're doing and care deeply about delivering a fantastic product. Even since the hookup when there have been a couple small issues, they never hesitated to help me resolve them, even coming to my house on short notice. Seriously I can't say enough about ExpertTech - I wish all contractors worked like they do, but we don't live in a fantasy world! Thank you Doron and Jonathan (and Nico and everyone else!)

These guys know what they are doing!…read more I recently decided to connect the pre-installed(but never hooked up to an amp or smart system), integrated speakers, hang and connect a TV and also needed to upgrade the interwebz, at the crib because it as extremely slow and spotty (some areas would not get wifi at all since it's the building is old and made of brick.) So after consulting the internet the internet I called ExpertTech Inc. and some other firms. What came next blew my mind (in a good way), not only did Doron (the owner, and all round very nice guy) get back to me immediately, but he came over the same day to do the visual assessment. I had and itemized estimate the very next morning! Boom! How about that for speed? I scheduled the installation for the next week, when all the necessary components were scheduled to arrive. Installation was also a breeze! At least Marston and Brandon, a two man installation Team Machine, made it seem that way. The first day was spent, calibrating all the necessary CAT-6 ports and setting up the server rack and internet. The second day was spent setting up the sound system. And this is were they really shined. Apparently the speakers (installed by someone else, not these consummate and dedicated pros) had been wired wrong, At this point I was afraid the whole endeavour would go down the drain, but fear not, ExpertTech stepped up to the plate! After checking one ceiling speaker they realized they could remedy the whole situation by going in and taking every speaker out of the ceiling and rewiring them. This is not an easy task with high ceilings and it proved to be time consuming, but these guys never even broke a step and handled it like champs, they even stayed late until the job was done. (Who in NYC does that? Nobody, except ExpertTech! Faith in Humanity restored, am I Rite'?) Anyway, after setting up the speakers, they cleaned up and and walked me through the setup and how to use it. Then they left. And were it not for the moronic massive smile on my face when I cranked up some tunes and surfed for cat pics on the blazing fast Wireless (up from an average time of 30 Mbps to now around 240-300 Mpbs not even kidding, I almost shed a tear, when I later streamed a movie in full HD, in BED, something I had not been able to do before) I would have never even known they were there. Honestly, I cannot recommend them enough. This is one of those no brainers. Just go ahead and call them. Btw, the other company called two weeks after they installed everything, let's call them comapny FU Client, and they said they would be available a week after that.... so yeah... Don't even bother, just call ExperTech. I didn't regret it!!!

After working with him on a TV mounting project, I can see why he's earned those positive reviews, and I'm glad to add to them. I called him to get a quote, and he was super patient, walking me through the process, explaining my options and costs, and really trying to get a handle on my needs. I booked him shortly after, and the process was ridiculously simple on his website. He was in constant communication over email, and we confirmed what we spoke about on the phone. He quoted me prices for materials, and gave me detailed descriptions, so I could see the prices he was charging me were standard retail - no professional markup. He understood that I wasn't 100% of some of the services I was asking for, and needed to see the options in person. When he got here, he was respectful of our asks around distancing and masking. He put shoe covers on on his own accord, which was a nice touch. The job he did was fantastic, and he noticed there was something wonky with my coax wall plate, and he fixed it for me, unasked. He wants his work to look good, which means my place looks good. Real professional, courteous, efficient, communicative, and reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Forget TaskRabbit-- when it comes to getting your TV properly and seamlessly mounted to your wall,…read moreMike's your guy. I recently purchased the Samsung Frame TV, which is different from other TVs in that it's made to lay flush against the wall like a framed piece of art. I wanted to be sure I hired someone who was familiar with how to work with this particular model, as there's nothing that ruins your day like your expensive purchase of the year getting wrecked. I'm not Miss Moneybags, at least not yet, so I had to be discerning. After I went through the very easy process of messaging a number of vendors via Yelp's Request a Quote feature, I received numerous responses within minutes, but Mike's response stood out. He wasn't offering the lowest price, but his message was friendly, pricing was transparent, and he specifically called out the unique nature of the Samsung Frame TV. His website featured a photo of another Frame TV he successfully installed. I was sold. Mike was so professional-- he showed up right on time, put on shoe covers, and he and I stayed masked the entire time he went to work. He was very thorough about making sure he set it up at just the height I wanted, even asking me to consider the other framed pieces of art I told him I planned to hang around the TV. He was done in about an hour. He even offered to cover the thin transparent wire that connects the TV to the "guts" of the device with a discreet piece of plastic that would protect the delicate wire and blend in with the wall. I hesitated, thinking it wasn't necessary, but I'm glad I went ahead with it because the whole effect is cleaner. He didn't even charge me for this. He left the place completely clean and even offered to take the box the TV came in outside. What a gem. TV looks great!
