We had the pleasure of having Robbie as our server and let me tell you... he is such a wonderful and polite young man. We had one person who had some dietary restrictions and he went through the menu helping her find something that was within her limitations. He went above and beyond with that kind gesture but realized we were also all athletes who just finished a very difficult ride and he recommended these amazing juices that are great for recovery from the juice bar. Our experience was 100% positive. The omlettes were wonderfully portioned and delicious. The pancake we enjoyed was the perfect texture, and the syrup was warm. Our waitress made a suggestion for a wonderful beverage called red medicine. It was a combination of cranberry, pomegranate juice, and black iced tea. Dined in on Mother's Day. We added our names to the waitlist before arriving because we know how long they can be on a weekend, highly suggest. Have been here many times and came back today because it's been a while. Had a short wait and got a table on the patio. It was nice except we were by the door and we could feel the AC blowing on us as the employees came in and out. I had the traditional breakfast: two eggs, a meat of your choice, toast, and potatoes for 9.99. I think the price has gone up since we were there last. Everything was great except the turkey sausage--they were links and just not very appetizing. My partner had the hash skillet (farmhouse) which was about $11. My partner said it was pretty good but not a good onion to egg ratio, aka too many onions. Coffee was great and orange juice decent. Overall a good experience but a little pricey for a weekly breakfast outing. Also the check-out area is slightly chaotic since it was crowded with a lot of people--you'd think they would calculate a little more space for that since it's a fairly big restaurant. read more

Maybe they are understaffed, but one of the worst things a restaurant can do is create long waiting lists and have a gaggle of people hanging around the front entrance when large numbers of tables are empty and set. My two male friends were happy as they always are when they get a pretty waitress and they tipped well, and subsidized my tip. I got the triathealon. Dirty fork. No water. Pico de gallo was just dry tasteless tomato cubes. Fruit was ok except for tasteless honey dew. Jelly served in cup had a thick skin. This is 8am - probably left over from day before. I frequent the eastside locations where I have had positive experiences with excellent service and consistently great tasting food! Today I happened to be on the northwest side of Tucson and decided to stop at the Oracle location where I did not get my sit down order and I had to walk out. What happened: I chose to sit at the community table since it was just me. The restaurant was busy, but not unusual for First Watch. I found it odd that it still took longer than you would expect for a server to come over and offer beverages and take an order. This was to the point I had to ask the host if someone knew I was seated and waiting. Finally a server took my order. Again another unusually long wait to get coffee that was luke warm, but I did not say anything. I had been at the restaurant waiting for 30 minutes and still no food. I called the server over to inquire and she didn't know the status of my order. I let her know I needed to leave. She didn't even offer to comp me for the lukewarm coffee. I still paid for it. Actually, it appeared as if she didn't really care that a customer was leaving the establishment dissatisfied with the service. Afterwards I did follow up with a call to the manager, who said, I was just bringing your food out when I was told you left. I had no idea there was a problem and the server could have comped you your coffee. I told her that my other First Watch experiences have never been like the disappointing one I had today at her location. She stated they were shorthanded, but I let her know that the server didn't even follow up to let me know, hey your order is on its way or thank you for patience we are shorthanded today. That I would try to work with, but this type of customer service was not even exhibited. That was it. I usually do not write reviews like this on Yelp, but this needed to come to someone's attention as it reflects poorly on the rest of this chain's locations. Velvet had the Florentine eggs Benedict. Fresh heirloom tomatoes, cage free eggs, avocado on cibatta bread. Velvet said fabulous. I had the biscuits with sausage gravy. They just walked the turkey past the gravy. I like to see sausage in the gravy. Scrambled eggs were undercooked. Ordered the "million dollar" bacon. OK if bacon were a desert this would be it. Absolutely delicious...and I was eating it cold because I was too lazy to heat it back up. My boyfriend ended up finishing it later (and heated it up) and he liked it as well.
