This is my favorite place to go for breakfast in Tucson! Food is always great, there's lots to choose from on the menu as well as lunch items. service is always attentive and they keep the restaurant very clean! I had the avocado toast and it's always delicious with a side of eggs! My friend enjoyed their turkey burger which he said was superior! Prices are reasonable and seating is always comfortable. I like First Watch and the food there, but I have a problem with this location. I typically visit Rooney Ranch in Oro Valley, however we were on this side of town so my wife, dog and I wanted to go here. I called ahead to see if dogs are allowed on the patio, since they are in Oro Valley. I did not know what the patio was like at this restaurant, which is why I called ahead. He said all dogs are allowed on the patio. I get there and wait outside with our dog while my wife checks us in. We wait for 15 minutes outside and then get greeted outside saying dogs aren't allowed on the patio. This location completely wasted our time and wasn't even apologetic about it. Update: They reached out to me to fix the issue, which I greatly appreciate, because the food at First Watch is great. I just wanted clear information on if my dog was allowed there or not and my time to be valued. They do not allow dogs at this location though because it is an enclosed patio, which is fine. I'll try this location on a day I do not have my dog with me. I do love taking my dog to the location in Oro Valley though but I'll give this location another try in the future. I also learned there is a website that shows all the dog friendly businesses and locations in Tucson. Look up "Bring Fido Tucson" if anyone else is ever trying to find out places they can and can't bring their dogs. Hope it helped! read more

Yeah. 5 stars. Eggs benedict. Hash skillet parma. This place is hippie (trendy?) style; ya know...a modern take on a restaurant - and the menu screams this. It is a cool, great modern menu, a clean restaurant, and the service was great. Eggs benedict had smoked salmon. A very tasty, clean dish. The skillet has parma was amazing. Simple ingredients, but very tasty. Also tried the meditation juice drink. It was hella good. I'm glad there's one in Phoenix. I'd love to go there. I'll be back if ever in Tucson. I was visiting family from Cali and before coming home we decided the whole family would go out to breakfast (15 people). I thought there was no way in hell we would sit together nor even get helped but FIRST WATCH made it so EASY FAST and AMAZING for us. The service was absolutely outstanding. We were placed in a closed off area and had the little room to our self which was nice because we had little kids and we didn't have to worry about them being loud nor annoying other customers. First watch made our last meal in Tucson so nice and memorable... Food was delicious. Everyone in the group ordered different things and picked off each other's meals to try a little of everything hahah. Totally recommend FIRST WATCH! When I go back next month First Watch will most definitely be one of my 1st stops ! I saw this place on the local news and I came in today with my mom and sisters for the first time since it switched from The Good Egg. We really enjoyed it! I appreciated the coffee and comfy waiting area while we waited. I ordered the Croque Madame and it was delicious!!! A little too much bread but still yummy. If I could go back I'd ask for my eggs over medium instead of sunny side up. It had a little bit of runny egg whites. BUT the egg yolk mixed with the gravy was superb. Overall, great place and great food for the same price you'd pay at IHOP if nor less. Lots of creative dishes to choose from. I also liked the fact that they offer freshly squeezed juices. Parking was ok as you know I always start with accessibility. Where I sat was a little tight to get to, but once at the table all was good. The service wasn't good at all. The waitress didn't want to answer questions and didn't seem to like her job, I didn't force her to be a waitress. After she took the order she wasn't seen again. This restaurant did what I hate and have a pet peeve about. Someone else brings the food and vocalizes across the table who ordered blah, I really can't stand when places do this. Why have a waitress if you're going to do that. I could have ordered in an app and had just as bad service. The food wasn't to my liking. I had a mushroom cheese omelet with ham and a side of French toast. Neither were all that good to me. It was all just mediocre at best. This is for sure not a place I would return to. read more

We had a bad experience here. The service is not good. We came in and were on the waitlist, a lot of people who can in after us were seated before us. When we asked if we were still in the waitlist, they told us they forgot to add us. Then when we sat down, we were waiting for 15 minutes with no one acknowledging us. We asked host 3 times to send over a waiter, she told us she would, but no one came. We finally gave up and left. Won't be back, this left a sour taste in our mouths. I like to try dishes that are exclusive to the restaurant. I decided to go with the Chikenchanga. A spicy chicken mixture with avocado, green chilis and other items. It was ok. A bit pricey and no refills. I probably won't order one of those again. My girlfriend order a breakfast hash. I don't remember which one. It also came with a side of fruit. Very little fruit but non the less, fruit! Service was good. The hostess was definitely more welcoming and friendlier than our server. We let her know it was our first visit and she was very excited for us. As she was seating another party she walked by to make sure our visit was still going good. Our server did give us advice on what times and days are best. This place is hopping!! Staff is very organized and helpful and the place is set up very well. Comfortable waiting area and lots of space around the many tables. Great "farmhouse" feel to the inside, a lot of great healthy menu options. They have some great juice drinks. The fresh hand squeezed orange juice was very good, just the right amount of tart. Our food did not take long to be ready. The farmhouse skillet hash i got was a great balance of all the ingredients, i didn't even have to add salt pepper or hot sauce. The toast was nice and fresh and thick. The Belgian waffles had a great strawberry compote type sauce that came with them and the waffles were perfectly golden. Went at the location on Oracle about 2 weeks ago on a Friday morning with my better half. The food was great and the only reason for the 3 stars, but the service needs a lot of work. When the server took our drink order I asked for coffee and lots of flavored (vanilla) creamer. I enjoy coffee with my cream! She brought out the carafe which was cool then a handful of creamers and asked if I could fill up the creamer bowl. Um, sure I will. Then when the food came out it was a different person and I asked her for extra napkins. When she didn't come back right away I knew she forgot. 5 minutes or so go by and I see our server was cleaning the table behind us when I asked for napkins again. That was the last time we saw anyone. I would have spent more money because I wanted to try this pineapple coconut drink they had and a refill on OJ but no chance was given. When the server was passing by I asked for a to go box. I feel horrible just reliving that experience. I hope they take this as an opportunity to improve their service. People do get overwhelmed and stressed in the industry but make us feel like it's a good thing to spend our hard earned money there. read more

It's unpleasant when you go on a work day and it's past rush hr- 100 PM and there's hardly any customers and you have to wait awhile to get anyone while the employees are having a good time gathered by the registrar with no customer there. So far, First Watch is my favorite restaraunt in the Tucson Mall area. Their cold-brew coffee is fantastic. I love that the servers bring a carafe of water and a thermos of coffee to the table. I couldn't decide between a sandwich or salad. The server pointed out the 1/2 sandwich, 1/2 salad (or soup) option. First, the super kale salad was fantastic - a nice mix of kale, greens, chicken, dried cranberries, and almond slivers, tossed in a light vinaigrette. The 1/2 sandwich I chose was grilled roast beef and havarti cheese, served with the perfect complimentary creamy horse radish sauce. I also couldn't resist Millionaire's bacon - I figured dessert. So Millionaire's bacon includes brown sugar, pepper, cayenne pepper, and maple syrup. Can't wait to try the breakfast. read more

My first experience with First Watch was a few weeks back at the Yelp Elite Event at the location on Broadway (Williams Center). We had such a fantastic event I knew I had to take my husband ASAP. I used the Yelp Wait List feature on our way over to the location on Oracle & River and that was the right choice for us as there was a 45 minute wait (10:30am Sunday, duh). We comfortably stopped at Home Depot on our way to brunch and had plenty of time to get there because we could see exactly how many tables were in front of us. When we got to breakfast we were able to find a shady parking spot in the lot. Walking in we were greeted by a cheerful and pleasant hostess, and our server, Savannah, was OVER THE TOP nice. Our food was good too, we both ordered Morning Meditation juices which is beet, orange, ginger, and tumeric, freshly pressed. I had the avocado toast with two perfectly-basted eggs, and my husband had the Power Wrap. He enjoyed it, but thought it could use more seasoning. Overall, we would be glad to stop at First Watch again and enjoy a fresh, well-cooked breakfast. read more

Club sandwiches are supposed to be on toast. The bread itself was tasteless. It had a tiny piece of avocado, which I really had to search to find. I was disappointed in the sandwich. Came in for breakfast on our way to Home Depot. I think they did a good job of remodeling, and the menu has something for everyone. I was never a big Good Egg fan, so seeing the change was welcome. I ordered the ham and Gruyere omelet. It was nicely cooked with just the right amount of filling. It seemed kind of odd to get a salad on the plate at breakfast, but the high acidity of the dressing was a nice complement to the omelet. The multi-grain toast was evenly buttered and more satisfying than regular wheat or white toast. All-in-all it was a good meal and I'll definitely head back since it's right down the street. My wife enjoyed her smoked salmon frittata. It came with a slice of ciabatta toast that was pretty sad -- like they sell at Panera. I wish they would go with ciabatta like you get at Beyond Bread or Breadsmith instead. read more

If you're going to want to listen to loud music, this is a place for you. However, if you want to converse, eat and enjoy each other's company, forget about it, you'll be drowned out by the obnoxiously loud music. We checked in on Sunday after church about 1 o'clock. We were in the waiting area when I noticed the music was awfully loud. I went to the hostess and sai, do you guys have any control over the volume of the music, because I find it's going to be very difficult to carry out a conversation with the music blaring so loudly. As in with many places, the hostess said corporate controls the volume of the music. and they cannot adjust it in the restaurant. We left. When did it become a thing that SO MANY national restaurant chains think customers go out to eat to hear LOUD music and have taken control of the volume away from the staff in the restaurant in case they get complaints? We won't go back, we won't recommend this First Watch to ANYONE! read more

As a first timer to first watch, I didn't know what to expect. We were pleasantly greeted by staff and seated. The staff is extremely welcoming and accommodating. The pomegranate drink was light and flavorful. The mushroom frittata was absolutely delicious and has made me reconsider my personal ban on mushrooms. The pork chop was the soft bacon, smokey and chewy. I paired the cheese grits directly with the eggs over easy and it was the perfect texture. And the pancake was sweet, filling and reminiscent of fall days. It was overall a very good atmosphere and experience. We will be back again. read more
