    "Tri-Fecta" with extra pancakes

Food was delicious but what really stood out this visit was the service. Our server built rapport with us immediately and was kind, funny, engaging, and professional without being too over the top. She was born for her job! Hostesses were friendly as well. Blueberry pancakes were on point and eggs were cooked perfectly.

First Watch is not always my go to spot if I am craving brunch. But if I am near one, then I will stop in because I know the food is consistent. But that is not the case at this location. And I am very disappointed. Kale Tonic is a must for me. And the one at this location tastes just as great as all the ones I've been to. For the main dish, I ordered Parma with sunny side up eggs. The eggs were cooked perfectly to my request. However, the entire dish was extremely salty. I almost wanted to return the item back to the kitchen but we couldn't find our server. And they were extremely busy so we didn't want to wave anyone down and be a bothersome. The server came by to ask for our order over 3 times within 20 minutes. Not sure why the rush. My boyfriend's first visit so he had to read each item on the menu. As soon as the food came out, we never saw her again. The restroom is extremely dirty and outdated. Based on the experience I had at this location, I am not sure I will return.

I went to the First Watch Shawnee location because it was closest to my job. I spent over $34. The meal should have been served hot but wasn't. I ordered a blueberry pancake which the waitress brought out because she didn't want it to be served cold. It was hot and tasty. The other item I ordered was the Proscuitto Toast and it was brought out after a 15-minute wait and was lukewarm almost cold. The waitress stated the kitchen couldn't find the cheese grater. Ugg... Should that have been my problem? I think not. I waited another 15 minutes and had to get up and ask for a to-go box. The waitress rolled her eyes. I've been to the Shawnee location twice and will never go there again. I love First Watch and have received exceptional customer service and delicious hot food at every other location.

First Watch is a very consistent restaurant. I love the fact that you can check-in online, it makes getting a table when you walk in easier. Of course the food and drinks are the star of the show. I love the lavender lemonade and I see it has made its way into the menu permanently and I will probably be a fan forever! Lavender is known for its ability to calm the nervous system, lift the mood and even lower blood pressure. No other place is doing this!!! My go-to meal is the chickichanga that comes with potatoes and seasonal fruit, it's only right to get a side of butter grits on the side so I can add some sugar to have them sweet. My partners go to meal is the salmon frittata that comes with a lemon dressed mixed green salad, but got it as an omelette instead. Although, today I think I became a fan of something I MUST try during the fall. The Ham & Gruyère melt which can come with a salad or soup, but I will most likely need to pair it with the tomato basil! I love coming here and have brought everyone from my daughter to my best friends because it's truly perfect for any occasion when you want something fresh and filling!

First Watch is a predictably good experience. You know there will likely be a wait on weekends, and you know the food will satisfy that breakfast grub craving This place is busy, seems there's always a very short wait 10mins max or so due to quick turnover, it's also a bit of noisier spot with a fairly loud dining area. They have a small patio but it unfortunately doesn't have much of a view besides Shawnee Mission Parkway. However the food is really the selling point and the drink concoctions are always interesting and refreshing, ala Morning Meditation and The Green Machine. Their breakfast foods are reliably good, the skillet hashes and breakfast tacos are my jam and can't recommend them enough.

I LOVED THIS PLACE. I just had it today for the first time and on our stay in Kansas we came here. Highly recommend. I got the eggs Benedict ( BLT ). All the food we got was amazingly delicious. The service was fast and courteous. The vibe was so chill and felt old school. I love it! The portions are big! Which I loved. For 6 people I paid $149 with tax and tip included. Meals vary prices but they are from ($12 - $17). Very reasonable.

Service is always great here. Very friendly staff. Food always comes out quickly and they have many healthy options. Sometimes there may be a wait on their busy days but I think it's worth it. Cute farm to table type ambiance. I frequent this restaurant and have never had a bad experience.

First Watch was a pleasant surprise. The first time we went I checked their wait-list prior to arriving and it was less than 10 minutes. When we arrived the parking lot was full and we had to fight for a spot. I started getting worried thinking that the wait timer was off and we were going to have a long wait before eating breakfast. We finally parked and got inside and there were a few people ahead of us in line, but we put our name in and sure enough we were seated within 10 minutes. The inside is spacious, but still feels cozy and a little rustic. Since it was our first time there I ordered their Trifecta which is two eggs, your choice of breakfast protein and either a Belgian waffle or a multigrain pancake. I was excited for the multigrain so I went with the pancake two eggs over hard and crispy bacon. It was all cooked as I requested and the multigrain pancake I actually had to double check because I thought it was a regular buttermilk pancake. It's actually exciting overall to find a place that has so much of the whole grains to offer because it helps you be healthy while also feeling like you are getting a treat, which I greatly appreciate. We went back for a second visit this last weekend and I ordered their spring special of the crab cake Benedict. It has a ciabatta bun, spinach, a poached egg (I got fried), and topped with a Sriracha hollandaise. It was ridiculously delicious. I really enjoy everything that First Watch offers and it's definitely going to be our go-to breakfast place.

An above average breakfast experience. Here is what I mean. The service was fast and knowledgeable. Our server responded to our every request professional and expeditiously. She advised us on the best choices for our taste and even took pictures for us. I was impressed! Now let get to the food "it's the presentation for me!" There is something about things coming like in the picture that soothes my heart. It's a work of art and it really sets the mood for me. Finally, the taste; fresh and delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Great job!

Went to breakfast with a group of 22. We let them know well in advance when we were coming. Upon arrival, we had to wait while they set up our tables. Servers were prompt to take drink orders , bringing them out quickly. They then started taking our orders-servers we're very kind and patient with the elders in the group. Surprisingly the food came out pretty fast. I always love their menu for the variety of options. They also had a separate Fall specials menu AND they now offer cocktails!! A limited menu with the standard fare of mimosa and bloody Mary's and a few other options. Food was very good and I did not hear 1 complaint out of the 22!

Estefany my server was dynamite. Very personable. The Tri-Athleta was lite and VERY filling. I couldn't finish everything and the best part, the entire plate was ONlY 570 calories. Tomorrow I will order another lite dish! TY First Watch, The best Breakfast/Brunch restaurant by far!

Here's the list: Sunrise, Jolly green, Power BLT, Baked Oatmeal, Croissant French Toast, Salsa Verde Pork &Eggs, Homemade Blueberry Tart and Carrot Cake Pancakes. Something tells me you just can't wait to hear.. the Fresh squeezed Sunrise & Jolly Green juice were so fresh and refreshing my goodness they were like little liquid vitamins drinks. The green went down so smooth with a hint of sweetness. The sunrise was just right for first thing in the morning carrot juice mixture I don't think we get enough of carrot juice but I felt so alive after drinking enough too go in on that Savory Satisfying Salsa Verde and it with the over easy egg on top to bring it home. When delivered it was still hot, the pork was so moist and seasoned darn well the salsa brought the entire thing together with that warm egg yolk I almost hurt myself it is a must try. Then comes the Large Power BLT with added grilled chicken. Listen to me you have to add the grilled chicken it takes it to a whole'nother level with the hickory smoky bacon cooked perfectly the kale and the brussel sprouts bean sprouts grape tomatoes it's just loaded goodness and the dressing being oil based seasons the green because they are raw so keep that in mind. You can literally feed 2-3 people with this salad. It's gonna be a summer staple for me no doubt!!!! Now comes the Baked Oatmeal - I've never had baked oatmeal but I believe they may have changed my mind with the berries I can't explain the warm goodness I think it was cinnamon but the oatmeal is so incredibly inviting so moist and chewy almost like an oatmeal cookie added berries for sweetness I added cream too it and let all my cares extinguish themselves. The Croissant French Toast- is RICH absolutely Rich, buttery toasted 3 pieces of goodness with a great helping of syrup. I say have some eggs and bacon some kind of fat or acidic beverage to cut through the richness, it put me to sleep when I finished it. We have the Homemade Blueberry Tart- ok let's talk.. flaky, buttery, when you break off a piece you layers of dough like someone loves their job. The filling on the inside compared to dough was perfect and very blueberry light sweetness, it's a cross between pop tart and toaster strudel but better. The icing kinda rubbed off in the bag but it was just enough and sprinkles to enjoy. I really liked that!! Yep, I saved the best for last those super moist Carrot Cake Pancakes, where have they been all my life huh where have they been? Just a simple sweet carrot cake with syrup you might as well say, like sponges just absorb the syrup to put you in a food coma and gone add a pad of butter as if, well as if it needed to be rich too flavor explosion just all over the place. I've never had that flavor pancake before but I will again. I wish I knew about this place before now, but it is one great find for any day or any occasion. Every item purchased was made, prepared and packaged with care. HomeGrown clearly loves their job because great things are coming out of that kitchen. I was very impressed my favorites are the Power BLT added grilled chicken and those Carrot Cake Pancakes. I've found another way to get my veggies . If you have not tried this place you got to and apparently they have some several locations. Picture time! I also posted my order and price shall you wanna take a walk on the tasty side of life. Enjoy! It's definitely a Yelp 5*****star. The serving sizes were nice. The price for what I got was perfect for me. The flavors paired well in each item. The excellent care in packing made me really happy. HomeGrown is well worth the investment.

Yet if you are not excited about any of what is on... it is not in your face and you can easily sit comfortably and have a conversation with your table. I hope to eat on their patio someday soon and will review again for that occasion. The bar is central to this place (who knew that a place called 30Hop would have that.) Also this place has 32 taps which is more than the original 30. But, I think the name will remain the same. 4 stars The Staff - I have rarely been greeted as well or as friendly as when I showed up here. Not only was the hostess nice and sweet, asking where we wanted to set and then guiding us to an area that had staff waiting on it but, also stood to chat briefly till our waitress got there to get us started with waters. Our waitress was extremely nice and attentive. She was friendly and able to read the table which I am sure takes quite a bit of talent. It was an impromptu date night so we were only waited on when one of us looked up and around. The Manager was also around to say hi and chat with us a bit before continuing on to other tables and see how they were doing. 5 Stars The Food - I picked up a chicken sandwich with fries. It was exactly what I was looking for on this day. My date, however, picked up a salmon salad that was amazing! Not only was the salmon cooked perfectly with a sear on all sides to give it that crispiness that is so desired but this was plated like a Michelin star was in the kitchen! Everything tasted so good. And I cannot wait to get back and have more things off the menu. My date even assured me that she will be right there with me! :D Overall - This is a fantastic addition to the Merriam area there and a good revitalization of the location. My only comment is that parking is limited. In our discussions of this I have come to some conclusions. I believe that ideas/architectural concepts are often adopted in for use in the KC Metro from successes in other cities around the globe. As much as this seems like a great idea, it seems like few of these builders take into account that this is a city of car travel. We have very low public transportation or infrastructure to support alternative modes of travel. Our city is on a sprawl and though our traffic is low you are traveling a greater distance to get to other city centers in the metro. I think the biggest reflection of this is that parking is often and afterthought and that there is rarely the right amount with any of the new constructions around town. This of course has NO refection in stars for 30 Hop. Just an observation. 5 stars!

It's a lovely restaurant. It seems a bit out of the way with mostly corporate buildings around. The restaurant has a nice modern aesthetic. I like the purple hyacinths hanging from the ceiling in one area. It was very steady for an off time in the afternoon. First, our server Olivia was amazing! Very attentive and we were extra needy this day so I really appreciate her patience. We even dropped food on the floor. Oops! She was so nice about it and cleaned it up immediately. We had customizations and extra requests. No problem for her! She went above and beyond. I hope she sees this because she was such a joy! The food was also very good. We started with the biscuits and one peach compote and one blueberry. Both were yummy. They were traditional drop biscuits and I love a good biscuit! We also had an order of fried green tomatoes on goat cheese grits. You get 4 very large slices. I could only eat one. The grits were yummy but there were not enough of them in relation to the friend green tomatoes. They were also encased by a sauce. I'm guessing a remoulade. I don't really care for remoulade sauce so I'd have removed it had I known it came with the dish. It really overpowered the goat cheese taste in the grits. The tomatoes were very al dente and I would have preferred them cooked a bit more. The dish was still good but my least favorite and I would normally love anything with those ingredients and fried green tomatoes are a favorite so the remoulade (or whatever it was) sauce was a real problem for me. I would definitely get them again without the sauce because they are great otherwise. But that sauce just overpowers every other flavor! I got the chicken tender dinner and others in my party got the bone in fried chicken. Everyone liked their chicken. The tenders were a big size. 4 of them but I hit 2 meals out of them. Everyone liked the Parmesan rosemary potatoes. I really liked the bacon green beans. The only side we weren't impressed with was the Mac and cheese unfortunately. The cheese was not good. We got coffees and a chai. All of them were very good. A bit pricey for the amount you get though. Even with the smaller complaints, I'd still give th a 5 because of the outstanding service and the dishes were overall very good and large portions. We will definitely return and I hope to try out a breakfast item next visit!

My son said the hamburger was great and tasted so fresh, and my husband said that his western omelette and wheat toast were delicious. We ordered cinnamon rolls to go, and they were amazing! It's a rarity to find a restaurant with homemade breads and locally sourced fresh food! The owners were friendly, made us feel welcomed, and service was promp! We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and this will become a family favorite place to eat!

The western omelet was really good, plenty of cheese. Their hashbrowns had a nice crisp to them/ their sourdough toast was buttered and very crispy, I really enjoy a good slice of sourdough. The burrito was also really good, packed full. Chose chorizo as the meat and it was very tasty. Also tried the lemon ricotta pancakes which were the perfect amount of sweet and zest. They're regular pancakes topped with a raspberry sauce and lemon zest. I would definitely come back but aim for an outdoor seat.

The menu is large but easy to navigate, and the prices felt pretty average for the area. I ordered the avocado toast ($12.99), and it was bigger than expected--in a good way. The bread was perfectly toasted and piled high with avocado, thick slices of mozzarella, tomatoes, and a nice drizzle of balsamic. It also came with two eggs and a choice of side; I went with the fresh fruit, which was a great complement. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The only drawback was the limited staff. Our waiter was fantastic, but he was clearly stretched thin--handling seating, bar duties, takeout orders, and multiple tables all at once. It was a bit much for one person and did lead to longer wait times across the board. Hopefully, this was just a one-off situation, because the food and service quality were definitely there. I'd absolutely come back again.

I ordered chilaquiles, and they asked me what meat, veggies, salsa, and how I wanted my eggs. It's all customized to your preference. I was…read moretorn between the chilaquiles and huevos rancheros, and the cashier recommended the huevos rancheros -- glad I went with it. The dish came with two over-medium eggs on a tostada shell, topped with birria beef and onion, plus a side of refried beans and two warm tortillas. The beans were actually seasoned and flavorful (a nice surprise since refried beans are often bland elsewhere). Red and green salsa cups were available at the condiment station, and both paired nicely with the meal. It was a fairly light breakfast overall, though next time I may add a pancake for balance. My mom ordered the standard two scrambled eggs with hash browns and toast. Simple and done well. We both had coffee -- she liked hers, but I found mine a bit weak (probably should've gone lighter on the cream). The space has limited seating, but the décor adds real character -- lush hanging plants and colorful Mexican-inspired artwork give it a bright cultural touch. It creates a cozy, homey atmosphere that feels both casual and welcoming. The cashier was friendly and helpful with recommendations. Prices are definitely on the higher side, which is what kept this at 3 stars instead of 4. They also offer a senior discount and another posted discount that I noticed, but I missed the details. If I were rating just my huevos rancheros, this would've been a solid 4 stars -- flavorful, well-seasoned, and a great recommendation. But my mom's order was pretty basic (though that's what she wanted), and I don't think her senior discount was applied. Combined with higher prices, this felt like a 3.5 overall, which I rounded down to 3. Overall, a solid spot for both classic American breakfasts and Mexican favorites. I'll definitely return to try the chilaquiles or Texas Benny.
