Make your own-medium, beef, sausage, and mushrooms

I ordered online on a busy football filled Sunday. They were running a little behind but it was fine because it gave me time to watch the final part of a game. The people there are super friendly. And they do have a fair amount of seating. We ordered a few different things. They have multiple sizes from baby to large. They have specialty pizzas or you can make your own. Plus sandwiches, salads, and pasta. We started with the cheese sticks and these are a must! It's old school Pizza Hut vibes. The marinara was delicious with lots of Parmesan. I would eat these by themselves. We went with three different pizzas. We got a baby taco pizza. All of the toppings were super fresh and for it being a small pizza, it was loaded with toppings. We also did two medium pizzas and made our own combos. One had pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms. Again all the toppings were fresh. I loved the pan crust. And the marinara didn't give me heartburn. The other medium was a pineapple and Canadian bacon, we added jalapeños to half. I echo what I said about the other pizzas. Everything was delicious and this is going to be my new go to when craving just a regular delicious pizza.

Good pizza, cooked perfectly! Tasty zesty sauce. Throwback family pizza style from the 70' & 80's with a tomato oregano sauce. Crispy crust. Very nice see service! Decor is a mix of modern, rustic, & vintage. Lots of parking and spacious seating. Great for a family night. They have individual slices on weekdays only.

Glory Days Pizza - Shawnee Mission Parkway has been on my mind after seeing some recent posts, and realizing I haven't been in a while. Decided to remedy that with an all meat plus jalapeno! They are so generous with the toppings (and cheese), and their thin crust is one of my favorites. Thin without without being a cracker, which I also like cracker style crust. They're located on Shawnee Mission Parkway near Johnny's and Savers, it's convenient from 35 and 435.

We were greeted by staff as soon as we entered the restaurant. The cashier was friendly as she explained the menu and answered questions about the different sizes of pizza. We decided to order breadsticks and a specialty pizza. The breadsticks were absolutely delicious and the server provided marinara sauce as well. However, the pizza was the star of the show. There was enough pizza and breadsticks to feed four people and everyone was excited for more! This place is charming with friendly staff and yummy eats. We will definitely be visiting again, perhaps for their yummy lunch special?

The staff was really nice and helpful. They helped us get a better deal. The cheese sticks were good. The pizza was yummy. I'd give it a 4.5 or so, but the service and overall atmosphere was a 5! In addition to pizza, they also have a huge menu offering wings, sandwiches, pasta, and more.

Wow! Glory Days Pizza is hands down one of the best pizza spots in the area. Even though the restaurant wasn't crowded, I didn't let that stop me from trying a slice of the Meat Lovers and the Supreme. The Supreme was my favorite--absolutely delicious and more than enough for me. The service was excellent! It was my first visit, and I can't wait to return!

****September 2023 Update**** Customer Service: 9/10 We are not on this side of town often, but when we are, we stop in at Glory Days. Honestly, their customer service is still top notch. We always feel welcomed and always greeted with a smile. Pizza: 8.5/10 We got the meat pizza and it did not disappoint. We also got a side of cheese sticks which were divine. The pizza was hot and fresh. Their pizza always reheats well too, which makes solid leftovers. For me and Hubby, it was $35 including tip. That's definitely not bad and pretty affordable for us to eat out. Clean: 9/10 The bathroom was clean and well kept. Kudos to their ice machine dispenser, which was pristine. Their establishment is always clean and well kept. The staff was great about keeping tables clean and set for the next customer. Overall: 9.5/10 Glory Days never disappoints. Their pizza is always solid and the customer service is always amazing. The only thing that is a nuisance is their parking. It isn't great and can be a pain when it is crowded. You can never go wrong with Glory Days Pizza.

I ordered a reuben sandwich and fries. Both were soggy and undesirable. I gave them to my chickens.

Housed in a repurposed old garage, McLain's runs like a well-oiled machine…read more It's always busy, but somehow never feels chaotic. Food moves fast. Coffee moves faster. Staff stays calm. Everything flows. It's organized chaos done right. The seasonal drinks are consistently creative and actually good. Not just pretty for Instagram. Balanced, thoughtful, and well executed. And the bakery? Dangerous. The display case is pure temptation. Cinnamon rolls, pecan twists, danishes, cookies, scones. Everything looks like the right choice, which makes choosing impossible. They also have solid brunch plates and sandwiches if you're trying to pretend you're here for something other than sugar and caffeine. Now for the one miss. I ordered the pepper jack breakfast burrito, and unfortunately, it didn't live up to the rest of the experience. Flat flavors, mushy texture, no real identity. The hot sauce was doing most of the work. It felt out of place in a spot that clearly cares about quality. Thankfully, the bakery and coffee saved the day. The pecan twist was flaky, buttery, and just sweet enough. The seasonal latte with cold foam was smooth, balanced, and dialed in. Overall, McLain's is a Kansas City staple for a reason. Efficient, welcoming, and consistently good at what they do. One menu tweak away from being near-perfect. Solid 4-star spot. Would happily come back.

Okay Modern Market, I see you…read more I was on the hunt for a healthy-ish spot for lunch (I mean, hello it is January), when I came upon Modern Market Eatery on Yelp. Upon doing some research I learned it's a scratch kitchen specializing in clean eats, and that it's a chain. A win for the health options, a ding for the chain, but not all chains are bad, an we are living in a time where there are some winners. So, I packed myself up and headed down the road to Prairie Village. It's still fairly new, and it has that squeaky clean feeling to it when you arrive. Inside it's counter service and you seat yourself (they will bring the food to you). It kind of reminded me of how Noodles and Company felt when they first became a thing way back in the early 2000s. I ordered a thai salad that came in at under 400 calories so I was honestly skeptical at how big or flavorful it would really be when it arrived, and holy cow was it good. The chicken was cold, but still held some flavor, the dressing was great, there were fresh veggies, pickled onions. It was one of the best 400 calorie meals I've had in a long time. My dad ordered the salmon curry and he also enjoyed his though I didn't try it so jury's out on my opinion! I left full and happy to have discovered this spot. I'll be back soon!

The sauce that was on my sandwich was different than the picture online. I did get my order through Uber Eats. The veggies were very fresh and crispy on the sandwich. The fire roasted veggies were not seasoned except for a bit of turmeric but it didn't really have a taste. Overall the food was good and very fresh but the price was a bit high.
