    Amazing pastries

Amazing. There's a reason that there is a stampede of humans here on the weekends. Ibis is a tour-de-force, rock the house, 7th wonder of the baking world. Whether it's the breads, or the avocado toast, or the myriad pastries, from croissants, to the kouign Ammann, Ibis simply crushes every form of baking with ridiculous excellence. Lot parking can get pretty full. Service is excellent, especially graceful under pressure, considering how busy they are. Destination breakfast and bakery. Do make your way here.

    Where the magic happens!

Yum!! These folks are LEGIT magicians. They must work with real magic wands or something. It was so fun to watch them work too. I could probably have sat there for an hour. What's a girl got to do to work there?? Incredible technique + expert knowledge + great ingredients = a good product every time.

Oh, the croissants that come out of this place!! Light, buttery and PERFECTION for anytime of the day. The focaccia is so rich with herbs, and don't even ask about the brioche!! Spectacular offerings at our neighborhood coffee shop! (Black Dog)

Pecan croissant. Citrus almond tea cake.

This bakery is connected to Blackdog (my most favorite coffee shop in the whole entire world). Large windows, white walls, white/light wood furniture gives the place an iridescent summery glow. Croissants are always a go to for me - they had some cut into bite sized pieces for sampling on the counter. It was light, buttery, and flaky. Perfection!! I decided to try their Pecan croissant which was drizzled with glaze and filled with a pecan praline filling. The croissant itself was delicious as described above, the pecans sprinkled on top gave the pastry a nice added texture to it. However, the added praline filling made the pastry a bit too sweet for me. I ordered their citrus almond tea cake again. Light, lemony, awakening. It is the definition of perfection. One of my most favorite pastries here is the Blueberry financier. I can't get enough of this heavenly goodness. Packed with blueberries; the pastry gives you a revitalizing punch in each bite, yet the buttery goodness of the cake always takes you back home to a comforting place.

Delicious breads and pastries! I recently purchased the sprouted quinoa bread in all of it's chewy nutty perfection. I'm not sure how well it will keep (fresh bread is always best the day it's baked), but I could eat it everyday and not get sick of it.

Two pizzas for Tuesday night pizza. One red, one white. Get there early, the lines were long and all pies were gone by 645.

One section is totally secluded for studying or working while the other is in a working bakery where you can see bread being made! I enjoyed the matcha, it was a little sweet which was a nice flavor. The coffee cake was moist and thick. I also ordered biscuits and gravy, which was unique because I think the sausage was a chorizo. It was yummy. I liked that you order at the counter. It made the ordering process super quick

You are definitely paying premium for your drink but especially the baked goods as their bread is all made in house by Ibis Bakery. Now more than one barista helped me review the massive menu. Payton ended up taking my order: CBS with MIXED GREENS, MATCHA TEA and a MUDSLIDE made with SOY MILK! The space is very large with multiple seating areas, quiet corners, plenty of open dining and enclosed room dining as well. It has a walkthrough to the bakery side along with mini store selling cups, Messner Farms merchandise and more. Now I really enjoyed my CBS: marinated chicken, bacon, red onion, cheddar cheese, tomato and chipotle mayo on brioche potato roll.. sounds pretty good huh! It was devine! Those combined ingredients made for one of the best chicken sandwiches hot or cold (because I could finish it in one sitting) I've had! Now I picked at the chicken solo and it didn't have too much flavor but as a sandwich everything comes together well! I wasn't too impressed with the Mudslide.. it was dreary, no hit of chocolate or creme so I'm not sure what it was supposed to be. My mom said the match with honey syrup was decent. Everything for the price definitely ensured my only trip.

As a diabetic,I only get to eat sweets rarely or maybe monthly haha and I really take time to decide where to go or what to have, and I wholeheartedly loved Twisted Sugar. This is located beside the UPS store on 119th Street and when I went in the evening, I was surprised by the number of flavors they have to offer! I also noticed they offer different types of drinks as well (speciality sodas, coffee, hot chocolate etc.) I got a banana cream cookie (regular size) for my husband, and I got a cookies and cream small cookie for myself. It was a perfect small bite sized cookie for me. I like the fact that they have a smaller size options because it's great portion control for someone watching their weight or someone like me who is a diabetic and doesn't want to be tempted otherwise. Note: you can literally ask them to add ANYY topping on the small ones. Banana cream cookie - the cookie base was soft and had a thick layer of banana cream. It honestly felt like enjoying a tropical drink with bananas with buttery finish. It had a very strong flavor and my husband loved it. Cookies and cream small cookie - soft, creamy, and chocolatey, sprinkled with small chocolate cookie pieces and chocolate syrup. This flavor was definitely nostalgic. Both of these cookies were priced at around $4.80, and I think that's a fantastic price. They have a cute little shop with 2-3 tables to sit and enjoy your cookies with quick service but I noticed most people were taking their orders to go. A 5/5 for me, especially since they sell small, single cookies (any flavor).
