Popped in for my reading hour today. They have a pretty solid iced chai. The muffin wasn't bad, but definitely had different textures inside and out. That was disappointing for a $5 muffin. I liked the separate seating room. There was plenty of space and tables available.

Black dog coffee house holds a very special place in my heart because this was the first actual coffeehouse I went to in the United States. It has been the one of the most comforting and clean spaces with a calm, cozy and inviting vibe. They have served consistently good coffee and always have tasty bakery products like breads, cakes, croissants to offer, all fresh and satisfying!!! I always go for the cafe caramello coffee with oat milk and their sugar free syrups of vanilla and caramel. Also, I always love pairing it with rich flaky and golden almond croissant filled with almond compote inside for crunchy moist flavor. Apart from these options, they have a lot more drinks, food options to offer. This is a perfect for relaxing, meeting friends, or just enjoying some quiet time. The staff has always been friendly and kind and are always ready to hear your drink specifications which elevates the experience. Highly recommend this coffee house to everyone!

Such an amazing coffee and breakfast experience! The vibes of this large coffeehouse and bakery so vast. One section is totally secluded for studying or working while the other is in a working bakery where you can see bread being made! I enjoyed the matcha, it was a little sweet which was a nice flavor. The coffee cake was moist and thick. I also ordered biscuits and gravy, which was unique because I think the sausage was a chorizo. It was yummy. I liked that you order at the counter. It made the ordering process super quick

I wasn't sure what I'd order despite me having looked at the menu prior to arrival, but I purchased the avocado toast, (the bread is thick, but it's not dense, so it was okay, though I'd have preferred it thinner, it didn't detract from the overall flavor), and Fall Specialty Coffee, Horchata Crème Brûlée. Both were delicious! Service was excellent! We opted to sit outside since the morning temps allowed us to do so, and it wasn't too crowded when we gathered. By the time we left, the Sunday crowd began to arrive. Not too noisy outside, and of course, dogs aren't allowed inside, but there were plenty of cute "pups" outside! ;)

I've heard rave reviews of Black Dog from friends for years, and I finally had a chance to stop in today - I can't believe I've slept on this coffee shop for so long! They have a great menu with something for everyone - coffee, espresso drinks, teas and more. I opted for a specialty drink, an iced Snickers latte, and ohmygoodness it was AMAZING. I'm hooked! Service was friendly and pretty speedy for a busy Sunday morning. They have plenty of seating indoors and out, and I took advantage of the patio to enjoy my drink. I will definitely be stopping in again soon and recommend you do, too!

Black Dog is a great coffee house! I have been here a couple of times and both visits were great! We ordered at the counter and the team was friendly and helpful. Our drinks came out quickly and they were delicious! The beans here must be magical! My latte was smooth and flavorful! The inside is massive and there is a ton of seating options inside and out! Great service, great coffee!

The extension of Messenger Coffee is always the perfect decision. On a warm summer day cold winter afternoon Black Dog has the perfect coffee pick me up and season sandwich that satisfies every time! Today's beverage is a Breve. All Messenger locations make the perfect Breve. It the right roast, grind and steamed half and half. Paired with a Roast Beef and Brie sandwich was exactly what I needed today.

Having a very active little guy, I am always looking for places to get my caffeine fix and something to eat. We were in the area and came across BD Coffeehouse. It's probably good we don't live in the area because I would be there frequently. Their pastry and bread selections are impressive. I loved the berry crumble bar, breakfast sandwich, coffee cake and the Cafe Carmelo Latte.

There are so many options on the menu! I got coffee and the Dr Pepper coffee with a cinnamon roll. Everything was delicious, and it was ready in no time with the quick staff. I stayed for a while with the free WiFi, so I liked how many seating options they also had. It never got too loud, but I was also never out of seating options. The space was clean and accessible. The back room was very cold.

I generally wait after visiting a couple times to write a review and Black Dog has been consistent each time. The absolute ONLY negative about this place is how packed it gets, which is only showing how great they are, but hard when you go to work. Most of the coffee shops around only offer a couple pastry options with coffee, but not here. There are full sandwiches, toast options, salads, cakes, there is something for everyone. Today, I needed a good breakfast and ordered the Sunrise Sandwich and a Caramel Latte. The lattes are smooth and a perfect blend of bitter vs sweet. The sandwich was just what I needed, something with protein that wasn't sweet. There are tables scattered all over, some having outlets and some do not, which does make it hard when there are so many people. Overall, this is one of the best coffee shops in the KC area for food and quality of coffee.

One of my go-to spots--always solid. Today I got the country toast, biscuit sandwich with egg, and a vanilla sky latte. Everything was delicious, as usual and arrived quickly. Cozy vibe, great food, and the coffee never misses.

    Iced matcha latte

As we stepped inside, we noticed that there were options: options to sit and work/study and options to get cozied up with a nice book and drink. The staff were very friendly and patient as we decided what we wanted to order. I decided to order an iced matcha latte with oat milk and asked for a sweetener similar to French vanilla. This is a hard drink to make but they did a good job! I would've liked the matcha to be mixed a bit more and for it to be a bit sweeter. Overall, this is a great place to go and meet up with friends or study!

    Chorizo Breakfast Burrito

Wow! Convenience and quality are the two words I would use to describe Black Dog Coffeehouse. I am a huge fan of being able to order my coffee in advance, especially when it's a new place and I don't know how busy it will be. When I got there, the place is spacious and very nicely designed. The barista was helpful when I asked where online pickup was. When another employee saw me struggling to grab all of my items she showed me where the drink holders were. I decided to enjoy my burrito on site. I love breakfast burritos, but it is so hard to find them around here with my two favorite ingredients: Chorizo and potatoes. They put both in theirs! I also loved their verde salsa, though it does seem to have some sort of sauce in the burrito already. I went on a Sunday morning so it wasn't busy, I've heard it can get crowded during peak times. I would say to pick an off time to go visit it for the first time, you won't regret it!

Cool vibe inside, food okay enough to sit on the patio if sunny. Breakfast burrito and a pastry I can't spell.

Very clean but small so there is no seating. Everything is to go. They have a nice selection of soft drinks and you can mix in different flavors. My partner hit a Diet Coke with coconut and lime. He got a 32 oz for $2. A 44oz for $2.25. A great price! I wanted to get a coffee chiller but they come pre mixed and I couldn't order it with less sugar. I tasted his diet Diet Coke and it was really good. We also got 2 orders of pretzel bites. We got regular salted with cheese dip and done cinnamon sugar with vanilla frosting. These were pretty good. I really love pretzel bites and these were not bad but also not what would make my list of great. You get a cup with a dip of your choice for $4.50 (or close). I also got a peanut butter cookie with Nutella on top. It was cold when I got it. It was good but I learned it is much better when it's warm because it sat in the car for a bit on a warm day. It was perfect and yummy. There's a large selection of cookie combos along with other sweets. There's sever more I want to try. You can also buy a by a half dozen or dozen. While waiting for my order, I did learn I can try getting an unsweetened tea as a base and then add what l life like and it can be made half sweet. I think I'll try it with blackberry and peach purée on my next visit. The two young ladies running the store were both very nice and helpful! I'll try to get photos on my next visit.

As a diabetic,I only get to eat sweets rarely or maybe monthly haha and I really take time to decide where to go or what to have, and I wholeheartedly loved Twisted Sugar. This is located beside the UPS store on 119th Street and when I went in the evening, I was surprised by the number of flavors they have to offer! I also noticed they offer different types of drinks as well (speciality sodas, coffee, hot chocolate etc.) I got a banana cream cookie (regular size) for my husband, and I got a cookies and cream small cookie for myself. It was a perfect small bite sized cookie for me. I like the fact that they have a smaller size options because it's great portion control for someone watching their weight or someone like me who is a diabetic and doesn't want to be tempted otherwise. Note: you can literally ask them to add ANYY topping on the small ones. Banana cream cookie - the cookie base was soft and had a thick layer of banana cream. It honestly felt like enjoying a tropical drink with bananas with buttery finish. It had a very strong flavor and my husband loved it. Cookies and cream small cookie - soft, creamy, and chocolatey, sprinkled with small chocolate cookie pieces and chocolate syrup. This flavor was definitely nostalgic. Both of these cookies were priced at around $4.80, and I think that's a fantastic price. They have a cute little shop with 2-3 tables to sit and enjoy your cookies with quick service but I noticed most people were taking their orders to go. A 5/5 for me, especially since they sell small, single cookies (any flavor).
