Apparently, our chai and muffin missed that memo too! We eventually had to retrieve them ourselves. I would understand if they were swamped, but they were not particularly busy. So, service gets a mediocre rating from me. The upside? Great company, a nice place to sit and visit, and a muffin to enjoy. Sometimes the conversation is better than the coffeehouse experience, and that is perfectly fine! Would I order the chai again? Probably not. That is how he and his nephew Nicholas would spend each morning - drinking coffee and tea outside in a beautiful courtyard, when my buddy visited his family each year. My buddy with a single origin cup of drip and me with an iced "Golden Hour" off of their Fall Seasonal menu - honey, turmeric, sea salt with espresso and milk - fantastic. We took our drinks to the cafe section of the greenhouse, found a quiet table amongst the foliage and flowering plants and he shared beautiful stories of his beloved "Niquito". My friends and I got the Vietnamese Coffee and a Banana Coffee Latte. The Vietnamese Coffee was delicious and packed a punch (as Vietnamese Coffee is known for). My friend got the Banana Coffee Latte and said it was "absolutely delicious and deserves 5/5 stars." They are so much better with the syrup on bottom, layer on the milk, and then the matcha.
