Looking towards the coffee bar ordering area

I tried this coffee house out the other day and it was a quiet reprieve to enjoy a latte. I had an almond milk vanilla iced latte that was pretty good. They have various tables and chairs, a leather couch and two leather chairs and also outdoor seating. They also have an enclosed playroom for children 5 and under which is very nice! The service was good and the young woman brought out our beverages to us where we were sitting. They had a quiet playlist playing in the background and it was a relaxing atmosphere.

The Foundry Coffeehouse is located inside a church. I stop in for something hot to drink while out looking at Christmas lights at So Kar Park Trail. Service was great. They have plenty of parking. There's a climbing wall inside. The night i was there, they had a fire pit outside for people to sit, have coffee and look at Christmas light.

Indoor playground. Awesome for kids.

A hidden coffee place to be! First time here. Thought they were closed because the phone number listed is disconnected. They've updated their phone number to 913-888-2722. They've been here for over 15 years. It is connected to (in the same building as) the Cedar Ridge Christian Church. Their coffee is pretty good! I had the Caramel macchiato. They just don't have milk substitute besides soy. I prefer coconut milk. I can stay here and relax while my toddler play in the indoor play area. She loves all the slides. There's a beautiful view of a pond. They have plenty of space to lounge and seating outside as well. It would be an awesome place for students to study since the space is so big; twice to three times as big as Starbucks. When you get a little sleepy you can go outside and take a walk around the pond.

Menu

Only had their blueberry muffin which was good. Will return for coffee. Nice kids play area inside. Went on a Saturday morning and there was a string music group playing inside which was nice.

Cool space, absolutely mediocre coffee for a ridiculously high price considering the quality.

Great little coffee shop tucked in a church adjacent to beautiful park, with outdoor seating and a water view. Had a wonderful experience.

Long day running errands with my 13 month old, I got a great cup of coffee and he got to get his wiggles out in the 5 and under play room.

One section is totally secluded for studying or working while the other is in a working bakery where you can see bread being made! I enjoyed the matcha, it was a little sweet which was a nice flavor. The coffee cake was moist and thick. I also ordered biscuits and gravy, which was unique because I think the sausage was a chorizo. It was yummy. I liked that you order at the counter. I ordered and had my drink within a minute, and my food came out shortly after. I ordered the Vanilla Sky specialty latte and the Sunrise sandwich. The latte was pretty mediocre, not bad but not great either. The coffee itself didn't taste anything special, and for the price I was expecting a little more from it. The sandwich, though, was really good. Everything was cooked perfectly: velvety runny egg, crunchy bacon, melted gouda (although I couldn't taste it much), and an earthy basil mayo. All the flavors worked really well together, and it was a solid-sized sandwich too. My biggest issue was the price. I spent over $20 here, and honestly I feel like I could make a sandwich and coffee similar to this at home for cheaper and probably better.

This local spot is located in the little historic Lenexa downtown, which is itself somewhat hidden away now that the Lenexa Public Market is open and draws folks that way. Coming to this stretch of suburbia feels charming and quaint, and I love that there is a really fantastic local coffee shop nestled into this shopping center. Now onto what makes this place so special. There are tons of great cafes in Kansas City, but what sets Maps apart from the pack is that they roast their own beans in house and they are all super fresh. You can taste the difference in the brew and it's a nice change of pace to have something a bit different since many of the local spots in town use the same local roasters. Once you find out about Maps you'll start to notice other cafes and restaurants that use their beans. It's not as many as say, Messenger, but Maps holds their own in this arena. They also make their own chocolate! And when I say make, I mean make. They actually make the chocolate bars and not just the candies. Even more impressive, it's damn good chocolate. Honestly, if you haven't been to this spot and have a love for coffee and/or chocolate it's well worth a visit. The cherry on top for me is how unpretentious the entire place is. You'll feel welcome, and the staff working will be happy to chat your ears off about their products. 5/5 for me!

I chose one of their seasonal menu items, a pumpkin spice latte, and was blown away by how good it was. The pumpkin flavor was nailed perfectly with the coffee. Service was incredible (for a fun surprise, enroll in the rewards program!), and the shop vibes are very relaxed. I'm looking forward to many future visits!

The iced latte I got was delicious, and I was so glad that they had decaf espresso as an option since I can't typically have caffeine. I also love that they have baked goods that are both gluten free and vegan- as someone who is allergic to eggs, and who has family members who can't have gluten, this is a huge plus! (Note: I am unsure of their specific cross contamination risks, so be sure to ask staff for more details if needed). There were great seating options (I chose one of the couches, which was so comfy!), and the employees were all very friendly. Overall I definitely recommend this cafe and will be visiting again!

That's on the expensive side for a latte, so I went in with pretty high expectations. Everything about the experience was quick and efficient. The line moved fast, my drink came out quickly, and I was in and out with no issues. The shop itself seemed like a great place to sit down and get some work done or catch up with a friend. Since it was such a nice day, I decided to sit outside. My first sip immediately stood out because of the texture. It was probably the smoothest coffee I've ever had; silky, creamy, and almost pillowy on the tongue. Unfortunately, that's where most of my praise ends. The coffee itself tasted fine, but nothing about the flavor stood out, especially considering the price. I ordered a vanilla latte, but I couldn't taste any vanilla at all and got virtually no sweetness from the drink. Overall, it's not bad coffee by any means, and the texture was genuinely impressive. But for nearly $9, I expected a lot more flavor. I don't regret trying it, but I wouldn't come back at that price point.
