I feel like I've waited so long for this spot to open and now it did! And I went! Nothing about it was disappointing. The staff was warm and friendly as soon as I walked in. They answered all my coffee questions and my order came up quickly. The space was roomy with high ceilings and plenty of table and chairs. Most of them were full! A great experience and will be back. A LOT.

This new coffee shop is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood! The space itself is large and welcoming, with tons of seating options like stools, chairs, and a sofa. The coffee is really good, and they have a great selection of fresh pastries and quick grab-and-go sandwiches. While they don't have a dedicated parking lot, there are plenty of easy parking options close by. What really stood out to me was the customer service--everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. It was the perfect way to start my morning, and I'll definitely be back!

Great addition to downtown Shawnee. Lovely coffee shop that is also a roaster. The coffee itself was delicious, the Pastries looked absolutely delicious, they were brought in from a local bakery. Plenty of seating around, cool merch, the staff were warm and welcoming. I'm excited to come back again! Vegan friendly coffee

After several visits over the years, I've only had their coffee and pastries, not their cafe food. The interior is cute and there's often a queue upon entering to order at the counter, but don't let that intimidate you because it moves fast. I recommend getting some of their water on tap (both still and sparkling water are available) if you have to wait! If you're queer like me, you'll likely be drinking a cold black coffee and they have options! They have a regular cold brew in 3 sizes, a cold brew of the moment / seasonal (ask about it!) and a cold brew shandy for something different. My partner and I got two different cold brews on tap today, the original and the Seasonal Single Origin Honduran one. The single origin Honduran was better, but their original was good too. There's a lot of seating, but it's usually taken up, so I tend to just take my coffee to go. Expect to walk out for around $6ish a cup. They clearly care about providing you a good experience with a strong cup of coffee. Give them a shot if you're in downtown Overland Park!

A father and daughter duo next to me showed up in a dandy double breasted suit and a princess dress. I wish the food was as good as the vibe. The coffee, while decent, was lukewarm and the scone I got was stale and dry, coming close to inedible. This, at a cost of nearly $11 after tax. It's near terrible food definitely doesn't stop people from coming in, again, you are in one of the nicest areas of downtown OP and have limited coffee competition, so I guess food quality isn't your number one concern.

In the 4 years I have lived here they have switched owners once so I am speaking for the most recent and active owners. First of all bravo. Second of all the chicken bacon panini is the best sandwich I've ever had and have ordered this at least 37 times. Lastly, make no mistake I WANT to gate keep this place but I realized it really doesn't matter how busy this place gets it's still mine at the end of the day because I'm a local so all you buttholes have to drive but it's mine! Ha ha!! (Evil laugh) Okay okay for serious Easy to find because it's a train cart cafe yes you heard right a train cart cafe! It's adorable and so aesthetically pleasing to chill at. Parking easy peasy. Pets welcome. Steps and a ramp to get with multiple outdoor seating areas and multiple indoor seating areas. Definitely wheelchair friendly Phenomenal service always so friendly and soooo dang cute!!! Pricing is fair for what I trust is quality drinks and food. My ONLY negative is the rewards system. So I spend about 100$ a week at Rochester for myself and my family. If you buy a single drink you gain a reward (a star) and if you buy three drinks two pastries and two chicken bakes about 50$.... Which is usually what I buy I get one reward. So. I'm a local I spend a lot there I'd like to feel more appreciated lol point blank is i went before there was a rewards system in place. Does it kind of sting a little in this economy? Yea but man I really do love Rochester my whole family does. I guess you can just place a few orders if it bugs you too but I'm gonna keep going no matter what. Right now they have a drink called "Bugjuice" it's superb. Matcha lemonade mix it's heavenly and is my go to drink right now. Try it! And !!! If you make it in early in the weekends try their fritters!

The sweet potato and black bean breakfast burrito was a little mushy- I'll try another flavor next time. Areas to improve: I think that more electrical outlets are needed (come with a fully charged laptop). Also both of the fun little up-above places to sit were covered in crumbs when I scoped them out for possible seating- I think the staff could do more sweeps of the area when business gets slow- I was there for four hours getting work done, and it was slow, and nothing was cleaned up.

The plane is named after the founder's mother "Betty". It's also a nod to how the company "air roasts" their coffee. When you walk in the vibe feels industrial, aviation-themed, and cozy. I ordered a caramel latte and asked for it to be served in a ceramic. The coffee was excellent as always and this is my go to coffee shop in Kansas City.
