If you think you are in the wrong place, keep going. GPS does take you right to it and it's way back in the back. Once you get there, it's a small walk to get up to it. The space is small, but on nice days, there is a patio you can sit outside as well. There are a lot of people that hang out and work here, so seating might be limited (I recommend a backup plan if you are going to work). The drinks are good and the limited menu is good as well. There isn't a full kitchen, but the bakery options are good. I got the pumpkin cinnamon roll and an iced caramel latte with oat milk and both were very good (and I don't even like pumpkin).
The coffee and selections here are sooo good! The service has always been friendly, fast and welcoming. This is truly a hidden gem because it can be a bit hard to find but once you find it you won't be sorry!
Seleno has been on my list of places to try, and as someone who absolutely loves an aesthetically pleasing coffee shop, it definitely checked a box for me. The ambiance is beautiful and thoughtfully curated with having access to work outside or inside of the coffee shop, which I truly appreciate. The customer service was amazing from the time we entered and left! The barista was incredibly pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful when it came to going through their menu. As an indecisive person, I really appreciated her sharing her personal recommendations, which helped my boyfriend and I when it came to placing our order. During our visit, we ordered the following: Iced Matcha Latte with vanilla and caramel --4/10 Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the matcha. The color was very dull instead of the bright, vibrant hue I would expect from a matcha and the consistency was quite thick, making it difficult to really enjoy. Iced Latte with brown sugar --5/10 Unfortunately, there was more milk and less flavor than expected. Though we ordered a brown sugar latte, the flavor couldn't push through the vanilla of the milk
The coffee was delicious! Also the guy at the counter (I assume he was the owner) was so nice and knowledgeable about coffee. It was great to enjoy a cup made from someone who cares about the coffee and knows about it. It was a quiet but comfortable cafe and I'd definitely be back.
After you find Seleno, you'll be back! It is tucked into an office park, but signs are well marked to get you where you're going. The space has a ton of charm and character which was very unexpected. They also have a great patio that I'm excited to check out in the spring. Inside is dark, moody and a vibe. Perfect work remote spot. I tried the seasonal maple bourbon iced latte, and it was 10/10.
My fall spice latte with hints of cardamom and anise on a beautiful cool morning was fitting. They use Oddly Correct coffee which pre-tells you it's going to be delicious. Super cool space to meet up with friends, have a solo moment or get some work done. Fun decor with outdoor seating available. On a side note- this place is tucked in an office space and you have a shirt trek from the parking lot. Google can get you doing some wonky turns trying to get you here... don't give up... look up and you will see signs leading you the right way.
What a peaceful and lovely hidden gem! Today was the first time that this place popped up on my Yelp and we decided to try it out. A bit difficult to find but so worth it. My latte was very flavorful and the tea was great too. Really liked the peacefulness of the cool patio and even in 90 heat, the way the patio is made in between buildings with 3 large trees it was fine to sit outside. The indoors is contemporary and lovely interior. The service was friendly and helpful and was glad to see they offered gluten free baked goods also as a treat.
Came here on a Saturday for the hazelnut latte and it was super good. The staff were friendly and offered their suggestions. The atmosphere is quiet and welcoming and a great place to get some work done! Definitely will have to be back!
Seleno is a hidden gem! The Cortado was great, and the staff were friendly. There's not a lot of places to sit inside but there are a lot outsides, this would be a great place to come when the weather is nicer!

What an amazing find!?! I've lived in this neighborhood for nearly 15yrs... I can't believe this place opened 3yrs ago and I'm just discovering this gem! It's tucked away in a little corporate park and I bet the businesses near by lover having access to this coffee shop. I personally could see myself coming back with friends to get a coffee and enjoy a lovely walk around the pond! The space is good. It's got lots of seating (bar height, low tops and then couches) and they have a shaded patron for those who want to soak in some vitamin D! I will say that it's a little walk up from the parking lot, but they have ada accessible sidewalks so if you have a wheelchair or stroller it's not hard to get to. It's a little confusing where to access it best from the looping parking lots, but North lot seems the most direct. Now for the best part, the coffee and food items! I ordered from their seasonal menu (in Fall it's a must) and got the Apple Butter Latte over ice. I also got a sweet treat! All their baked goods are from Aurora Bakery, so a great partnership. They also have quiche and turkey sandwiches, but it's a popular quick lunch for people so don't be surprised if they sell out on you! Lastly, the woman working was a lovely. She was friendly and warm in greeting me; and the more we chatted about the space the more she seemed excited to tell me about it. It's a level of commitment and passion that you don't always get from cafes in the areas. I'm excited to come back soon! read more
Seleno surprised me. This place has been getting some quiet buzz in the community and I'm always a bit of a skeptic of a new coffee shop. Maybe it's the former barista in me, but I just never know what I'm gonna walk into. I was bit extra hesitant as I knew from reading reviews that this place was a bit off the beaten path, and as I routed myself there and found my car meandering through a suburban office parking lot maze I became even more nervous about my plan to work from here. All of that being said, once I got close to the coffeeshop itself I saw a sign clearly visible from the lot which was my first breath of relief. The signage is spectacular for a fairly hidden spot. Yes, you need to know it's here, but you will find it rest assured! If you don't see the sign keep hunting. The nice thing about it being in an office park is that there is ample parking. I was able to park and walk right in. The inside is modern but inviting, and at 9am I was able to have my pick of the tables. The day I was there was nice and I had my laptop so I went outside to their patio. I worked out there for about an hour and when I came inside to take a video call it was packed! I was able to snag a table and purchased a sparkling water before using their wifi (which was great!). Now to the coffee - I had a dirty chai and it was honestly wonderful. No notes. The baristas were friendly and overall I had a great time. Adding this to my list of great work spots in JOCO. read more
Solid performance. The coffee was good, the food was good, the location was cute....overall positive experience. The people working seemed like they enjoyed what they were doing and it showed. We don't live in the area, but we're nearby for other shopping so stopped in to try something new. I'm glad we did. read more

Quiet and quaint spot. Quick service and so friendly. Enjoyed a raspberry concha and cortado. Highly recommend. Great place to get some work done or have a coffee date. read more

Love, love, the staff. They make the perfect latte. We held a baby shower there. They have an auxiliary room, also a great outdoor space. If you have an event ( we had aprox. 55 people) it was a fun venue. They could not have been nicer. read more

So excited to have found this place! I often run over by the Lamar / Shawnee Mission Parkway business campus and have seen the Seleno signs before, but just tried for the first time this week. The vibe inside was amazing, I would love to go there to do some work. The coffee was also delicious, I got an iced latte with caramel & vanilla. Would recommend!!! read more

A lovely little gem of a coffee shop! Like many reviews, it was a challenge to find. However, once I noticed, there are great signs on the property to get you there. Follow those, not your GPS! The atmosphere was amazing. It was super quiet and did get a little busy on a Tuesday morning with the surrounding office buildings' employees. I could spend all day here, however. The seating is comfy and there is a decent amount. The coffee was great, I love Oddly Correct and I really enjoyed the Strawberry Caramel muffin, too. Will definitely be back for working away from home when I need a change of scenery! Highly recommend. read more

This world class coffee shop is a gift to Overland Park and Mission. With discriminatingly curated beans, the top of the line equipment, and a (truly) professional barista, Seleno satisfies the simplest and most discerning tastes. Excellent sourced pastries and a sampling of light lunch fare. And, lots of clean and modern space with indoor and outdoor seating areas for individuals and large groups to share. Its a thrill to find a place this good that is not pretentious, overpriced, or exclusive. read more
