She also got the chocolate Hong Kong waffle with ice cream and enjoyed it. I would have liked to try some of their food, but wasn't able to during this visit (through no fault of Tsaocaa). The plushies and other merch they had was very cute and I'll very likely buy something the next time I visit. The decor was also lovely, with some very happy plants in the windows. The staff were also friendly and gave me no reason to doubt their skills. My only complaint is that the seating was just shy of being comfortable. My friend said the bench seating was a bit hard, and while the chair I sat in was soft, the arm rests made it a little too narrow for me (I'm plus size and have chronic pain, so finding truly comfortable seating can be a challenge at most places. As a note, anyone larger than a women's 3X probably wouldn't be able to comfortably sit in the chairs at all and would need to sit on the bench). Overall it was a pleasant experience, and I plan to go again!

I was super excited to see taiyaki (fish-shaped pastry) in KC, but it came out greasy inside and out, even though I didn't know taiyaki could even turn out greasy, and the whole experience ran up a much higher bill than most boba joints. All things considered, not worth it. Definitely go check out other local places like Gocha, Ding Tea, and Takao Tea! For Asian desserts, I love Hamu Bakery (formerly Beyond Bread) and Leafy Dessert Cafe.
