The staff was incredibly friendly and patient while we asked questions and sampled different flavors. My kids loved the boba flight options, and the Oreo Cookie flavor was an instant favorite. We also enjoyed checking out their bubble waffles, ice cream, and other treats. You may think that this is another boba spot but think again! Chatime boba was soooo good. I got the brown sugar boba tea and it was so tasty. I wish I got a bigger size. When I went there today with a friend we got to meet the new owner, who was so friendly and provided excellent customer service! She was able to offer recommendations and when I shared that I can't have caffiene she was so great at offering suggestions that took that into consideration. Lots of flavor options, nice service, board games for those who want to hang out, and the boba tea is . This is always my go-to place for boba! I think it's just a good location, service is always good, and unlike places like Kung Fu tea you can actually sit down and socialize or just chill. I like the Hawaiian fruit tea, 30% sugar, regular ice, tapioca pearls. We recently had Chatime cater our 16 year old daughter's birthday and it was a major hit!! so many special details were added that made it extra special. They brought their very cool tea cart and served the guests personalized drinks from a specialty menu created by Lauren, the owner for the event. All the drinks got rave reviews and I know Chatime has some new loyal customers who tried it for the first time at the party. This boba tea place just newly opened a month ago in August. My friend and I are big foodies and love going to new boba tea places, so we had to try it out! The location is great - near 888 International Market in Overland Park, KS off 69 Highway and 119th Street. The Jasmine Green Milk Tea is my go-to drink at all the boba tea places! This one hits the spot at 50% Sugar level with Aloe Vera Topping. My friend ordered the Oolong Milk Tea with Herbal Jelly. We both enjoyed our drinks and have definitely came back. Another time I got the Mango QQ and Mango Smoothie. Both were good. The Mango QQ was a very refreshing juice drink and it usually comes with pearls and coconut jelly toppings. The Mango Smoothie was not too sweet (adjusted the sugar level to 50%) which was the perfect sweetness for me! Whenever I would visit often with my friends to try other flavored drinks, the manager lady named Vila was always so friendly and remembered me. The other staff are very nice as well. The inside of the shop is nice and clean. It has a single bathroom that always smells fresh and clean. Chatime is a good place to study and/or hangout. Another thing I like about this places is how fast they can make our drinks (under 5 mins or less, up to 10 mins if they are super busy). They do get busy, mainly on the weekends after lunch or dinner times. I would highly recommend checking them out for a light dessert! read more

Overall clean and friendly. I've never been a fan of the cafe that sells bubble tea at 888, which is in the same shopping area, so this is a great secondary option. Ordered the taro with original boba at 75% sweetness. The sweetness was fine, I probably would opt for 50% next time. The drink itself was really creamy. Their teas are pretty good, especially their Thai tea! But their Konjac boba, which they claim tasted the same as their normal boba, is NOT good. Even when I thoroughly mixed my drink, my boba was salty! I want to give this place a second chance but I am deterred. Update: like the other Yelp reviewers, I also got a response from the owner apologized about the Konjac boba and offering a free drink the next time I go, which was very kind of them. I'll probably give this place another go sometime in the future for their kind hospitality. read more

I never realized chatime had opened, but I was fortunate to have met Jai who recommended that I stop by. As a huge boba tea fan, I'm glad I did! I picked up a boba milk tea (as I always do when I try new boba tea places) and it tasted great and as expected. Jai, the co-owner introduced me to the staff who were all friendly and welcoming. We went in on grand opening day. It's a fun atmosphere and friendly staffs. We went in for bubble tea. The bubble tea is refreshing and very good. It's the best bubble tea I've had anywhere. I love that you have options on the sweetness you want in your tea. Most places doesn't give you this option. I also like that you have an option of how much ice you want in your drink which is awesome. We ordered the lychee black tea and mango green tea fruity drinks. I love the fresh lemon in the tea. Didn't know about Chatime until their grand opening and they did meet my expectation. I don't enjoy sweet things but whenever I travel in the US or overseas i gotta try their famous boba places. Chatime did have the flavor I was expecting. The drinks I tried were made with nicely brewed tea with their signature milk mixture I was looking for and for 50% sugar level it was sweet enough for me to enjoy but I will try 30% sugar level next time too see how well the flavor and sweetness play together because sometimes other boba shops tell you that you won't get much tea flavor when you make the sugar level too low. Also my Lychee black tea with rainbow jelly was amazing in this hot summer day. I almost wanted to rip the top plastic open and chug it. The boba (tapioca pearl) was a little al dente for my taste. I like my boba almost well done so it keeps its ball shape and pleasantly chewy like chewier version of mochi. Well it is hard to cook boba pearls perfectly first time. I expect them to perfect it very soon. If you prefer more tea flavored milk tea, I recommend Taichi supreme milk tea over signature milk tea. Great staff and great location.
