Gocha is an adorable novelty in trinkets that pairs so well with a quality, sweet sip. Their drinks are large, affordable and delicious. I got the brown sugar matcha madness, which had a blend of salted cheese cold foam and ice cream (I think she said?). It was AMAZING. The matcha was very earthy, which I liked. I don't think it's ceremonial grade, for those curious. Look how beautiful it was, too. I got 50% sweet but I definitely get 100% next time. The menu doesn't have all the ingredients, foams, drizzles, etc. listed, so definitely ask. The staff is kind and loves the questions. Every spot in here is photo worthy, and even on a rainy day like mine when I went, it was just as fun of an ambiance. I especially love the painted wall with the Gocha light up sign. True art decoration has not been lost! I do wish there were some cheaper gashapon varieties, as there are only 2 machines that cost $5. It would be cool to have some smaller, cheaper options and come out of this shop with a bunch of trinkets. This is such a fun spot, and I'd guarantee everyone could find something to enjoy. The egg and sausage bun with sesame seeds is really good. You can tell it's made from scratch and the flavor is perfect, not too strong nor too mild. It's definitely something for me to get again. I have been slowly going through all their unique premade drinks. I haven't yet found any other place in Kansas City area that sells the diversity of options here. I got this delivered through DoorDash and I was so pleasantly surprised! I'm a boba newbie so I wasn't sure where to start. I ended up getting the creme brulee coffee with added brown sugar crystal pearls, the creme brulee dessert, and the mochi waffle. All of it was absolutely incredible! The two desserts were completely on a whim and I'm so happy I decided to get them because those will now be desserts I dream about for weeks to come. The creme brulee coffee is deliciously strong-tasting and I'm in love with the creme brulee coffee. The brown sugar crystal pearls were new to me, and I've come to find it's an acquired taste (which I'm finding myself slowly being acquired to). The creme brulee was perfectly creamy and decadent, and the green grapes that were added on top were a surprise at first, but now I'll require every creme brulee in the future to have grapes on top. The mochi waffle was INCREDIBLE. It's huge, first of all - enough for two servings for sure. My Honest Rating: A Disappointing Experience! ​I've been a regular customer at this boba shop for a while and have always had positive things to say. I've recommended it highly to everyone I know, but that all ends today. I was incredibly disappointed with the way I was treated, especially since it came directly from the owner. ​My usual order is the hibiscus tea with either lychee, strawberry, or mango, and I always get 0% sweetness with a half scoop of popping boba. It's the perfect drink, and I get it every single time I visit. But today, the hibiscus tea with lychee tasted off. It had a bitter, spoiled flavor and an awful aftertaste. I knew something was wrong after the first sip, so I tried it again just to be sure. ​I immediately told a worker about the issue, and he brought it to the owner's attention. I thought perhaps there was some coffee residue left in the tea-making equipment since I know hibiscus tea itself isn't bitter. I told the owner that maybe the tea had been over-steeped or brewed for too long. I even asked her to try it herself to see if she could taste the same issue. ​She took the drink to the back, tried it, and came back to tell me it was fine and made the way it usually is. She didn't even address my concern. She just handed the drink back to me, basically telling me to take it as is without apologizing or offering to fix it or make a new one. I was absolutely shocked that she would treat a loyal customer like this. ​I told her it was wrong, and the person I was with tried the drink and could confirm it was off as well. I was so disappointed that she wouldn't fix my drink and showed no remorse for my concern. I know exactly how that drink is supposed to taste, and this wasn't it. ​I refused to drink something I wasn't enjoying, especially after paying nearly $7, which is very steep for a boba tea these days. It was such awful customer service. I don't plan to go back ever again. ​If I could give this zero stars, I would. If you can't handle honest criticism and ensure customer satisfaction, you shouldn't be in the service industry. ​P.S. I had to throw out the full drink, which was upsetting, but I refuse to be treated that way. read more

I was craving a durian smoothie. I couldn't believe I found a place that does one. However, paying $10.50 for a fairly normal-sized bubble tea-type drink was shocking. I'm aware there's usually a premium price on durian, but this was a little ridiculous (so maybe +$13 after tax and tip). The smoothie also tasted more like melted sweet vanilla ice cream than durian (not very strong flavor). The coconut on top was a nice touch. I've been to different Gocha locations and I am always left disappointed. I was hesitant to try this location due to my past experiences. I went with a friend after having kbbq next door and checking out the Korean grocery store. It was empty on a Monday evening but the staff was very friendly as we walked in. There's so many different drinks to choose from and they're different from the other locations I feel like. I got the Hibiscus Lychee and that was the best decision I've made! It was very fruity and flavorful (just how I like it). Since we were the only ones in the store, the worker took our order but usually there's a kiosk that you can place an order! Love this place! Great boba and tea selection just around the corner from my place. It's clean, fresh and modern. I especially love the self order station for those low-social battery days, ya know? I also love the customizations available. Boba and Thai tea can be so sweet, so I always get mine with only 25% sweetness and it's prefect! You can also customize the ice quantity and the milk options, but alternative milks do have a fee (just $.50, completely reasonable). I was so excited to hear Gocha will be in Shawnee. It's so convenient for me to only 10 minutes away from all my favorites snacks. I have been in several times in the last month. The inside is cute and inviting. Great lighting and decor for photos. The desserts and snacks are top-notch as always. I love that Gocha has always been creative with flavors of their refreshments. I feel like this place is a miss and hit! The drinks are good but I would recommend only 25 to 50 percent sugar level. I ordered from here almost every week and I love it! Just wish the can tone down their sugar. I usually like the milk tea with crystal pearls. The slushies here aren't very good so I would not recommend! Cute display in the store though! They had a lot of Asian snacks. I personally didn't try but one day I will. I do have a suggestion though, I hope they'll add the snacks they have in store into DoorDash so people can order!!! This place is clean, has lots of seatings, and super cute decorations. When we walked in we didn't see any employees, but can see them busy making drinks in the back. I liked how they have a touch screen where you can just order and pay by yourself. You get a receipt. When your order is ready, the employee will bring it out to you. We did have a question about something , and it was easy for us to flag down an employee for help. They do have desserts available. Their prices are better than the other boba places. i was SO excited when i heard Gocha was opening another location. this is my absolute favorite bubble tea place. i went on their first day of their soft opening from hearing about it on their instagram. the tea was excellent as i have come to expect from the quality of their standard. boba was perfectly soft and the earl grey flavor was spot on. the interior decorating was so cute and really quite nice tiles and paint. they are working on a mural and have a mural already on the other wall. the customer service was great, and i was able to pay with apple pay and get my receipt emailed to me. Such a cute and adorable place! If you have never tried soursop before, I recommend trying the soursop smoothie (it has milk and condensed milk I believe), it's so delicious and unique tasting! Finally, a Gocha in Johnson County. No longer need to drive to Westport or north KC for the best avocado smoothies with boba or other natural boba tea. new boba shop in the area. lets see how long this place will last. dont think theres much of a demand in the area. the drink list is pretty standard with milk teas, fruit teas, brown sugar milks, etc. i got a brown sugar creme brulee milk that came with pudding and added boba. the drink was good and not overly sweet like some places. definitely enjoyed the pudding. boba was chewy but lacking flavor. the lid was garbage! every time i picked up the drink it would pop open. boba places need to stick with the sticker type of lid where you can rotate it to mix before poking a hole with the straw. i nearly spilled it multiple times because of how flimsy it was. also tried the earl grey milk tea. that was delicious! the taste of early grey was perfect. overall good flavors but the lids are an issue. read more
