This was a small cute cafe offering a variety of drinks like milk teas, flavored teas, lattes, cheese macchiato, alongside 6 different toppings. Menu was posted by the kiosk and several displays were showing different drinks. They had self ordering kiosk. Most drinks came in L and M sizes, but for some drinks they had tiny kid's size. There was also good amount of sitting spots to enjoy the drink inside the store. We ordered the mixed fruit green tea, salted caramel Thai tea, signature royal milk tea (L and kid's), with boba. Took them about 10 minutes to prepare the drinks. All the drinks were so tasty. Loved the flavor of the milk and fruit tea. Bobas were soft and chewy. I was pleasantly surprised to find this excellent boba tea spot in KC (Country Club Plaza).

Cute boba tea shop inside Country Club Plaza. 3-4 small tables and some seats. Most people do take out. Put the order in kiosk and they will call out the order when it's ready. Variety of drinks and toppings. The boba is very good. Texture and flavor are top tier. They cook the boba with brown sugar so I don't even need extra sugar in my milk tea. Nice staff. No public bathroom.

Needed a boba pick me up in KC and Bruu Cafe did just the trick! The space is very cute and minimal on the inside. The ordering kiosk provided a lot of photos to give you an idea of what the drinks will taste and look like which is helpful if you're new to boba and teas. I went with the Milk Tea Cheese Macchiato -- it was one of the specials and recommended by the staff member working. I decided to get it 50% sweet which ended up being too low, the drink was a little bitter. The sweetness levels are always a little confusing to me because I don't want to over do it. The boba pearls were yummy though. Overall it was okay, but didn't wow me. My husband got one of the Red Bull drinks that was actually pretty good but very, very sweet. It was hard for us to find that happy medium.

This was my first boba (I know I know)-- I mean, I've had tastes of other people's - but never ordered for myself. My wife insisted we pop in and since I was starting to drag, I figured it couldn't hurt. Imagine my relief when I saw they had a Red Bull-based drink on the menu. I couldn't order it quickly enough. It was pretty clean inside. Staff doesn't really interact with you until you are handed your drink (order at a kiosk thing). The drink itself was fine. I'm not sure what was in it besides the little balls, ice, and some Red Bull - but at the time it was what I needed. (Actually probably would've been better off with a Red Bull from a gas station or something but whatever). Not a bad spot. I'd revisit when more awake and more adventurous.

In a great location in the heart of Country Club Plaza, the staff were friendly and the shop was clean with several tables lined against the wall. You order at a kiosk and pay with card. My go to drink whenever I try a new spot is a simple milk tea with boba, this particular day I ordered without ice. Sadly the tea had an unpleasant bitter aftertaste to it, even with the milk it didn't help. The boba texture was fine but there was minimal chew and no sweetness to it whatsoever. I also was a little put off by them not filling the cup to the top(although I have experienced the same with a few other boba places when I order no ice). I tried but couldn't finish the drink. I wanted to like this place but I won't be back.

I was happy to see a boba shop on The Plaza that I haven't been to before on my trips to KC. I was there over Christmas so I wanted to try a seasonal flavor and saw pumpkin on the menu. The boba I got was really pretty and the staff is really friendly. It was really sweet and didn't taste like pumpkin or have a tea flavor. Coming back again, I would probably choose a different flavor or reduce the amount of sweetness by quite a bit.

Self-serve boba place in the Country Plaza shopping area. The interior is small but enough room to order on a kiosk and they text you when it's ready so you can wait inside or outside. SO many great options. I want to try everything. Easy 5 stars!

My sister in law recommended Bruu Cafe and everytime we've been back in the area this has been our go to spot. Ordered: *Fresh Milk Creme Brulee with Brown Sugar and Boba *Signature Royal Milk Tea *Strawberry Marble Latte Clean and spacious. I'm from California which we are always surrounded by tons of bubble tea/boba spots and Bruu Cafe meets the cut. Drinks are made fresh to order and they use real ingredients not the powdered stuff. So, I definitely recommend this spot and give it 2 thumbs up. Please come to California!! I totally would be going and supporting. Tips: *Restroom available. *Indoor seating only. *Free street parking *Kiosk ordering or order at the front counter. *Located within walking distance to different shops to shop at (Country Club Plaza). *Credit card accepted. *You are able to modify all your drinks. *More than 1 location. *They have an IG page.

One of mine and my daughter's favorite boba spots! The service is always fast and friendly, no long waits. I've not tried any food from here yet. The place is small but cute and plenty of seating while you wait.

My daughter was wanting a milk tea so we ended up here. Such a cute bubble tea shop! We ordered at the kiosk and had our beverages very quickly. I had the fresh milk crème brûlée with brown sugar Boba. It was the best milk tea I have ever had. My daughter had the brown sugar Boba milk tea with almond milk. She really enjoyed hers as well.

When an asian says that their dessert is "not too sweet..." it really is the HIGHEST compliment. A year later, and I'm still lovin' everything Bruu. ESPECIALLY their milk tea collection.

My niece who lived in Kansas City made us visit this cute bubble tea place. Lots of varieties of bubble tea. You order at the kiosk and service was quick. The creme brulee milk tea was great. Others loved the peach bubble tea.

Great service. Fast ordering and fast service. We waited like 4 minutes max to receive the order. Chill spot the vibe was relaxing. The drinks are refreshing and delicious. Highly recommend.

Since I haven't been able to make it to the market lately, I decided to check it out. Overall, the space is very clean and well-kept, and the atmosphere is nice. I especially enjoyed the experience of picking out my own tea, weighing it, and labeling it myself--it felt much more personal and relaxed compared to the usual rush and chaos at the market. That was definitely a highlight for me. I also tried their mango peach topper smoothie and added chamoy and Tajín--honestly, it was so good. I definitely should have gotten a larger size because the regular just wasn't enough. That drink alone is worth coming back for. The only downside was the customer service. The staff member I interacted with wasn't very knowledgeable and wasn't able to answer my questions. At the market, I'm used to staff being helpful and able to guide me through different teas and their benefits, but here, most of my questions were met with "I don't know" or "I don't work with the teas." She did point me to a section on the wall with some information about the teas and their benefits, which was helpful to a point. However, there was one term that appeared on several teas that wasn't explained on the wall, and she wasn't able to clarify it. I ended up looking it up myself, which wasn't a big deal for me--but I can see how that could be frustrating for someone new to loose-leaf tea who's relying on staff for guidance. Overall, a nice location with a more relaxed and personal shopping experience, but improved staff knowledge would make a big difference.

I really liked the set up - a much more relaxed and comfortable environment than the Northland and certainly not as busy as the River Market usually is. I attempted to order online but they shut down online ordering fairly early-it was well before closing, so I headed there to order. The individual who assisted me was friendly and the restaurant seemed very clean. They have cute decor. I did take my order to go because it was getting close to close and I didn't want to be that person. I ordered a ton of things. Eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach but I don't mind leftovers. I started with a couple of appetizers. The first being the sugarcane shrimp patties: Shrimp patties delicately wrapped around sticks of sugarcane, presenting a harmonious blend of savory seafood notes. They come three to an order and were interesting. I liked the texture of the shrimp patties and they did have a good flavor. Would I get it again? Maybe. I also tried the fried lobster balls. Those come 5 to an order and were exactly what they said-fried balls of lobster. They were also good but they have several other appetizers so I would probably opt to try a few more things out. They have Korean corn dogs and because I've never had one, I decided that needed to change. I ordered the potato half and half-half dog, half cheese. It was huge. Like way bigger than I thought. I liked the potato outside, it was crispy and tasted like a giant French fry. Lots of cheese and the dog was a dog. I don't regret getting it but I would have to be in the mood to get one again. It was fun though. My favorite item was the grilled pork croissant: butter mayo, house sauce, jalapeño, cucumber, and cilantro with pickled radish and carrot. It was so good and what I will definitely return for. The pork had great flavor, the veg was a crunchy, refreshing flavor and the croissant was so flaky and delicious. My only complaint is that it got a little soggy on the way home but I popped it in the oven and voila! First world problem solved. Highly recommend. Finally, I had to get a boba tea. I went with the mango milk tea base and added mango popping boba. It was refreshing and delicious. I like that you can really customize your drink. I had a sip of a Thai tea with brown sugar boba and that will be what I get in the future. So good. I will definitely return and I highly recommend that you try it out.

The staff is always respectful and pleasant whenever I visit. I usually bring different friends here to check it out for the first time, and they always enjoy the food and ambiance. The prices are fair depending on what you order. I like trying something new each visit, but a must-try is definitely their Banh Mi - I've had the Special Combo and the Grilled Pork. Also, don't sleep on the Combo Croissant Sandwich! Everything is fresh, though I highly recommend eating there; if you take it home, the bread can get soggy. For drinks, their boba is great. My favorites are the Lychee Strawberry Fruit Tea and the Peach Green Tea. On my most recent visit, I tried the R1: Grilled Pork Chop & Broken Rice (Cơm tấm sườn bì chả). It was a huge portion with broken rice, pork chop, shredded pork skin, meatloaf, and fresh veggies, served with house fish sauce and a side soup. Very delicious! I also tried the Firecracker Shrimp appetizer. It was more like a standard shrimp tempura; I was expecting shrimp wrapped in thin spring roll wrappers, so it was just 'okay' for me. One area for improvement is the cleanliness; the tables and bathroom could use more work and attention. Also, there were restock boxes in the front that were blocking the two big lounge seats. Overall, Paris Banh Mi is a solid place to eat and hang out, with good food for a decent price!
