I must say that I've been missing out on some delicious options. I tried the Power Meal Spinach Pineapple, which includes pineapples, a white grape lemon juice blend, almonds, organic spinach, Gladiator® Protein Vanilla, a protein blend, and a multivitamin enhancer. I also added ginger. It was yummy! The following week, I tried the Metabolism Boost Chocolate Banana. This smoothie contains bananas, nonfat milk, a protein blend, Gladiator® Protein Vanilla, 100% cocoa, a fiber blend enhancer, and a metabolism boost enhancer. I became addicted to it, so for the next two weeks, I ordered the same thing. The location on Barry Road has a 20 oz option, but you get a 32 oz for the same price. "WINNING!" I am now addicted to smoothies!

I chose a hot protein chocolate drink and then at the register there was a pack of 6 small peanut butter chocolate balls also with no prices that looked tasty so I grabbed those too. My drink was basically a chocolate protein shake heated up. Kinda funky protein flavor but thickish, well blended, and apparently with 30-something grams of protein in the approx 16oz drink. The pb chocolate balls were dense and pretty tasty. They must've had protein too as they were a bit chalky but not in a bad way. I left happy, figuring I'd paid maybe $6 for a protein drink and maybe $5 for the small pack of protein balls (sold in packs of 4 as a dessert without protein just next door at Hyvee for $4 lol). I got home. Checked my email. In it was a receipt for $25 from Rise Nutrition. WOW!!! I'm not only mad they don't post prices anywhere in their business but stunned and ticked I got taken for TWENTY FIVE dollars for a 16oz drink and tiny protein balls. I feel scammed. Outrageous. Highway robbery. If you're going to strong arm with exorbitant prices like that, at least don't hide it from me and let me decide what to blow my budget on!

I wanted something healthy before getting on a plane back to Los Angeles, so Patima assisted me I grabbed a peanut butter açaí bowl. Perfect way to start the day and fly out of Kansas City. The staff were fast, kind, and helpful. She packed the bowl just the way I like it. Here is the real test. I accidentally dropped the bowl on the floor so hard that the people behind me actually screamed. It hit the ground, bounced, and did not open. Nothing spilled. That is how well she sealed it. I decided right then they were getting an extra star just for that. Thank you Patima for packing and sealing this for me. I got on the plane, ate my bowl on the way back to LA, and felt great. For the service, the healthy option, and the quality of how it was put together, I am giving this Smoothie King 5 stars, or better yet, 5 açaí bowls out of 5.
