Stopped by this cute little boba tea shop to pick up drinks and snacks. The shop is cute and super clean. My friend recommended their smoothies and chicken feet. Unfortunately, they only sell chicken feet on Saturday. So I just got the avocado durian smoothie and pennywort juice. My little one got calamansi sugarcane juice. All of my drinks were good. Bubble tea in KC! Stopped by to pick up a cool and refreshing drink. Very impressed with this cute shop that has all the options I am familiar with and more! I ordered an avocado smoothie that is sometimes not available. I was taken aback when I was asked if I wanted the drink with ice cream and coconut. I opted for just coconut. The smoothie was very thick and topped with toasted coconut flakes. The boba was still warm, but nice & chewy! The boba was better than the smoothie as the drink lacked a strong avocado taste and was a bit too thick for my liking. The strawberry matcha latte wasn't very good and I would order that or a tea on my next visit. Plenty of free parking in the shared open lot. This is the boba place that I just keep coming back to! My partner LOVES boba and so we've been to quite a few places in KC. This one is without a doubt our favorite. This stop is everything! I have been 3 times now, and can't stop ordering the exact same thing. The interior is bright and cheery, and the staff is super helpful. Macarons and cake are up for grabs.... both so good. I order on repeat: Rose Milk tea, add cheese top, and Lychee boba. With bubble tea prices sky rocketing, you have to make every drink purchase worth the price. Thank god I discovered GoCha Tea. Among all the other bubble tea shops that I've been to in Kansas City, this place is definitely one of the better ones. One of the problems I've been having with many bubble tea shops is that their milk teas have too much sugar and not enough tea taste (sure I can get less sugar but at that point it just tastes like water). For $6, this place offers a large size rather than medium and it is served in a sturdy, reusable (?) bubble tea cup which is a bonus. I got the oolong tea, with 25% sugar and grass jelly, which was the perfect sweetness for me. It does say in the store that there is an increase in price for their toppings but I didnt see how much that was exactly (maybe 75 cents). Although I hated the $1.50 extra convenience fee that was tacked onto my online order, I realized that it may have been worth it. When I got to the shop, I felt like the employees just weren't happy. I'm not sure if they're being overworked or treated unfairly, but they didn't offer a "Welcome" or any smiles. I imagine that if I'd had to take extra time ordering, they probably would have made me feel uncomfortable. I ended up ordering the Hokkaido Milk Tea with Boba (50% sugar, less ice). The drink was plenty sweet (probably because of the caramel drizzle on the inside of the cup), so I wouldn't recommend increasing the sweetness level, even by American sugar standards. I'm absolutely in love with the owner (literally, I just sent an email proposing to her) who is a total sweetheart and remembered me even though it's been months (even my exs can't manage this). Well, honestly, it was not me she remembered - really she remembered Barbie having come in with me - but can you blame her? The store is super super cute and some of the customers are ridiculously cute as well -especially In The Heat Of Summer, when Kansas City people take all their clothes off because they rarely get the chance to in the other three seasons. There are not many great Boba shops anywhere in the midwest or on the plains - but this one is the very best I've found. It's in fact one of the best in the country and every product you try here will probably be spectacular. As for service - as I said, six months after I first came in, the woman still remembered me on my most recent trip to Kansas City, and the drinks were just as sensational the second time around and Barbie and I both can't wait to come back here. Maybe I went on an off day, but the staff weren't great and neither were the drinks. I was excited to try this place because there was finally a place in the northland that we could try so we didn't have to drive all the way downtown or further south to get boba or other asian food. However, I was quite disappointed. I walked in with my mom and there were two other people in the place waiting for their drinks. When we walked in, there was a guy standing at the counter. As we were making our way to the register, he walked away. No sign of anyone as we waited there for about 5 minutes before anyone came out to greet us. I have never been here before as I don't live in Kansas City anymore. I asked the girl behind the counter her opinion on the different drinks. Not only was she short with me, she seemed very annoyed that I was even asking a question. Super unfriendly. So I just ordered the two drinks and walked away. My mom wanted to try the mung bean and I ordered the strawberry matcha latte. My mom got hers with 25% sugar and I got mine with no sugar. When we finally got our drinks, she set the drinks on the table in front of the counter and then threw two straws down next to them. Not sure if she meant to throw them like that, but that was that. I thanked her and left. My drink was just ok. Before stirring the drink, it was pretty bland and sort of bitter, but that was my fault. So I mixed the drink up with the strawberries and that was also a mistake. It was so sweet. I wished she had told me the strawberries were cooked in a sugar syrup. Had I known, I would have just gotten the matcha latte alone without the strawberries. It was so sweet, I couldn't finish the drink. So I tried my mom's mung bean one. We got it with 25% sugar. I'm not sure if the drink was only made with powder or what, but in california, when I order mung bean drinks, they litterally blend the mung beans into a drink. My mom's drink was literally just liquid and didn't taste at all like mung beans. It did have the mung bean smell though. Maybe its because we got it with 25% sugar. Who knows. Located in NKC little Saigon strip. The place itself is clean and spacious but of course due to covid you can not dine in. Their menu is pretty wide, from milk teas, to their tea specialty and etc.. I honestly think this GOCHA has the best Winter melon Milk tea in Kc. I've tried probably all over the city but nothing beats theirs! The downside is, they literally take 30 mins for like two drinks... even when they're not busy. I would recommend maybe calling ahead of time or you'll have a whole half an hour to kill inside. read more

I love this whole redevelopment of the old strip center into something the community can be proud of. An old shopping center from the early seventies has new life as a predominantly Asian restaurant area. That said, on to the tea. Yes you can buy iced Earl Grey and all the usual milk teas. Everything is freshly prepared in their sparkling clean prep area. Everything is well lit and fastidiously clean. The sweet ness of your team can be dialed up from 25% to 100%. This is the first tea cafe we've found since moving here to KC. Back home in Hawaii there are soooo many tea/boba cafes and we were excited to finally find one here. The cafe is very open and clean. Enough room to space out and social distance. They have a selection of yummy macarons at the front and some (I think Japanese) drinks. I love places that have variety! They also a yummy variety of tea drinks on the menu. We got a Hokkaido milk tea and brown sugar dalgona milk tea this time. They were both great BUT VERY SWEET. One of my favorite places to get boba tea. I came here three time now. The first time, my sister and I came here when they first opened and had the buy one get one free deal. I ordered the Firecracker drink that is just a mango smoothie with chamoy and chile lime salt. It wasn't that great. I've had better at the dessert place called Tropicana. The second and third time, I went twice within a week, which is a little excessive. However, I came with different friends each times. The second time I came here I ordered the Wintermelon Jasmine Milk Tea with Brown sugar boba and 50% sugar level. The third time I got the same drink but with regular tapioca topping. It is by far the best Wintermelon Milk Tea, better than Kung Fu Tea. The tea flavor taste is there with the milk - perfect balance. The 50% sweetness level is perfect with the toppings which has a hint of sweetness in eat bite. The one I tried at Kung Fu Tea is a little watered down with the tea aftertaste but helped with the sweet tapioca topping. They also have a Polaroid camera where you can take photos and hang it up on the wall towards the restrooms. It is really great to do when you go with a group of friends or family to commemorate the time you went there. The only negative thing about this place is how slow they are in making drinks. We waited at least 10 mins and we were the first to order out of 3-4 people who came in after us. Also they got my order wrong twice. I asked for light ice in my first order and no ice in another drink and they added a lot of ice in the light ice order and added some ice in the no ice order. I asked them if they could remake it and they were very hesitant in doing that. They definitely need more training to improve their speed in making the drinks and pay attention to customized drink orders. Overall, the drink taste is great! read more

This place just open recently. It's located in the Pagoda Village up north near Gladstone. I was so excited to try a new tea place. A very clean place and it's good to sit and enjoy your tea with a book or have a conversation with your friends. Lots of room to move around and friendly staff. There's so much varieties here including Matcha which is one of my favorites. All their drinks are serve cold, unless you specified otherwise. I order a firecracker which is a mango smoothie with chamoy and a strawberry matcha latte. You can tell the cashier how much sweetness level you want if you don't like a lot of sugar. The firecracker was sweet with the fresh mangos and the chamoy and chili were sour and spicy with the right amount. It reminds me of a mangonada, a frozen treat but this is like smoothie form. The strawberry matcha latte with milk tasted like water down with a lot of ice too. I think I would order less ice next time and add more sweetness to it as well. Also tried their oolong tea with cream cheese foam. I had never tried it before it and it tasted really good and well with the tea. Definitely something new to tried if you like cheese. The mung bean milk tea I had was good, wish they grind it up more so I didn't have to chew on it. As this place is still new, I'm going to give it some time for them to improve overall with their service, drinks and staff. It wasn't busy but I ordered a Passion Fruit smoothie with mango boba/jelly. The wait was ridiculous!! I've waited about 45 mins before my drink came out and it felt like forever waiting for someone to call out my number. It felt like it took every 15 minutes or so when a order was ready for someone to call out your number. Once I got my drink, I wasn't a fan of the mango boba/jelly. I was under the impression it was popping/bursting boba but it was very hard. This is the last time I'll ever go to GoCha. I rather take the extra 20 minutes and drive to a different boba place! read more

This is probably one of the best Boba Spots in the KC metro. For me, only Kung Fu Tea beats it but that drive is way too far from somebody in the Northland. This place is a blessing for all residents north of the river though. The inside is nice and spacious. In my opinion, you should look up the menu BEFORE you arrive. The menus are located at the ordering counter in here so I'd rather not be holding up a line staring at the menu. They have a great variety of smoothies and teas including some I never tried before like Hokkaido milk tea which I am now a fan of. The containers are actually pretty unique including their lids. The have plenty of toppings you can choose from and you can adjust the sugar level which is always a plus.
