The item I purchased rang up at a higher price than what it said on the shelf. Never a good sign. Everything was really expensive, except for a few things on sale - like, I managed to find a single-serve yogurt on sale for $2.50 instead of $4.59. They have some bulk herbs and teas, but the selection is very, very limited. They have a couple water dispensers in back which is nice, but there's no price listed anywhere. I really want this kind of place to survive..... but it's just so pricey; and then the service wasn't great either.

The butcher's here are quite knowledgeable, personable, and helpful. The butcher's at the Metcalf location are the worst. So coming the this location for meat is always a treat! The store is easy to navigate and I can get in and out pretty quick. The downside is product availability. This location is the busiest one in the area so product availability is really bad. More times than not if I need something I'll go to the 119th location to be absolutely sure I can get the food items I need. Overall, I'm here everyday, it's 8 mins from my house, the meat is top notch and amazing, it's my favorite daily grocery store to go to.

Isadora specifically is very compassionate and empathetic I have noticed not only with my encounters with her but her encounters with other people. Anthony was especially supportive and empathetic through the renovation process. Many of the natural grocers independence employees have been supportive but there are so many great moments I have had in this store with my kids and I will continue to return.
