I was so happy to see somebody move into this building and bring a great coffee shop to the area. This has quickly become an add-on to my weekend grocery shopping trip, and the seasonal menus are always delicious and well-thought out. (I really miss the Red Velvet latte!!) I will say that the coffee shop itself is not that warm or welcoming. The furniture is pretty hard and uncomfortable, and although it looks nice, I probably wouldn't stay here for long to chat with friends. read more

I went to this local coffee shop multiple times while I was in Kansas City. Their Matcha's are delicious and they have many varieties. My favorite was the banana caramel Matcha, which had a banana foster flavor. My fiancé got the tiramisu Matcha with a shot of espresso, which he thought was a good mix of coffee and Matcha. I also really liked the Horchata latte as it was a good amount of sweetness with cinnamon flavor. Their Oreo cookie was also good, but a little too sweet for my liking. I did like the crème brûlée toast as it was very crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. I was expecting the toes to have a cream filling, but it was toasted bread, soaked in crème brûlée flavored milk. While I hadn't been since the last coffee shop in that space closed its doors, I fell in love with their caramelized banana matcha latte. The space is very simple and clean. There are a few communal tables, however the ambiance is less inviting than it has been. While the menu is slightly limited, my friends have enjoyed their coffee. I'm a matcha and coffee fan so when I was looking for places in Missouri to try and saw this I immediately knew I had to try it. The matcha crepe tastes exactly like matcha obviously, is very soft and melts in your mouth. I ate mine cold but i'm sure if you wanted to you could heat it up. I also got the tiramisu latte which is so, so good. It's sweet and tastes so delicious, just like a bakery good. I got mine iced and the prices are very good in my opinion. The ladies serving me were very kind and pretty! My cashier was very helpful as it was my first time at this coffee shop. This is such an aesthetic coffee shop. There is floor seating with cushions surrounding a table. Very different from any other coffeeshop I've been to and I liked it. I tried the iced strawberry matcha and unfortunately I was very disappointed. The strawberry flavor felt very artificial and didn't mesh well with the matcha. It's me again...back for round two at Chambre Coffee with my boyfriend and I have to say, it was just as amazing as our first visit! This time, we both surprisingly went with matcha (I think I'm rubbing off on him!). Since they were out of the strawberry matcha, we were offered some great alternatives. We ended up trying the passion fruit matcha and the mango matcha--and trust me when I say, both were amazing! My boyfriend is a huge mango lover and let's just say if he decides to go with matcha again, the mango matcha will be at the top of his list as it was very refreshing and had a great punch of mango flavor. As for me, the passion fruit matcha had a great tropical punch that I'll definitely be coming back for! Oh and of course, we couldn't leave without getting the cinnamon roll, which was just as amazing as the first time. With 190 Yelp reviews under my belt for coffee shops, this is the first time drafting one without actually tasting their product. I made the trip over on a Saturday afternoon at noon and found a packed house - certainly a good sign. I counted 30+ people inside occupying all the seats and many standing - with only one barista, many of those 30 were waiting for their beverage. While waiting in line I was able to check out the "vibe". Vibe = really loud crappy pop music and absolutely NOTHING to look at on the white walls. I came to support local, I would think that they would do the same by having some local artists on display - or at least throw something cheap or cheesy upon those barren walls to occupy the time of their gentle customers - not all of us constantly stare at our phones. Calling this "minimalism" seems like a cop-out. After realizing that the wait would be a while, I chose to exit from the blare of the music and the glare of the whitewashed walls and travel a few blocks south to another newish coffee shop for a much more pleasant experience and able to get my beverage in a timely fashion. They must be doing something right with a healthy crowd, but it's certainly not my aesthetic or the demographic group that I want to be a part of. Best of luck. read more

They're located right next door to Char Bar. The interior is decorated in a kind of modern / contemporary design with some interesting seating options- I see three different options for floor seating with pillows to pad the floor but I've never seen anyone actually choose to sit on the floor. Both times I came I had the iced tiramisu latte and it was great, hence the 4 starts. Both times the ladies working were unpleasant to interact with which is why I didn't leave 5 starts.
