My last visit was a Sway birthday, and their rotating flavor (new drinks posted on social on Wednesdays) was a - wait for it - wedding cake latte. Definitely didn't have that on my scorecard before, and while didn't sample it, the recommendations were numerous. Pricing & service are great, and while sure, there are limited seats (the place ain't that big), the only knock is their private parking lot. But that doesn't deflate their stars, but yeah, that parking sitch just stinks. Park across the street at the school on a weekend and jaywalk. But I didn't tell you to break the law. Sway is another jewel in the crown that is the Kansas City coffee scene. They could probably franchise their brand and sprinkle some locations in the 'burbs, but that defeats the neighborhood charm. Stop in, try the roast, enjoy vibe, and let Seattle bring mediocrity to the masses. Sway is perfect where it is.

But I came back, and the staff was so sweet and gave me a punch card with an extra punch to make up for last time. This baristas kindness flipped me into a devoted Sway enthusiast. The interior is small, with limited parking. Part of me wants to hide this spot, as I can come in before work and get my coffee in a 5 minute flip. And there's nothing better than a coffee that has a consistent flavor each time. The prices are very affordable, too, for the high quality coffee you are getting. They do run limited run bevs each Friday, Saturday, Sunday that they advertise through their social media. Only trouble is they close at 1:30pm and the barista told me the specials run out around 11am. So you have around a 6 hour window to secure the special. I think they should definitely consider week long runs if they could take it on!
