    Grand Opening Specials 5/23 - 5/26
    Elle M.

Came for the Grand Opening weekend and it definitely wasn't what I was expecting/hoping for. The drinks were bland and mostly tasted like milk, the boba was almost mushy because it was so soft, and the drinks were more than half ice (see the photos). Unlike most boba places, there isn't a scale or method for specifying sugar level or ice. If you are planning on visiting Mochini, this may not be the best place to stay and study or work for long because there's limited seating and outlets and no wifi. The ambiance is a little strange because there's no music playing or other people around, so the only sounds are the staff talking to each other. Overall, would much rather recommend Takao Tea just down the road. Their fruit drinks are made from real fruit instead of syrup, outlets and wifi are plentiful, and the boba is great.

This waffle is delicious. Like a dessert.

Super knowledgeable owner, Michelle, who will walk you through the extensive menu. Delicious boba, fantastic waffles. 10 out of 10, definitely recommend. Ambiance is chyll.

We were craving some refreshing drinks and found this place from Yelp. It was not busy for a Saturday and we were greeted right away. They had a nice menu with lots of choices, even had some specials on sale. For a hot summer day, I like to drink a cold refreshing drink to cool down. I had the strawberry grapefruit with jelly and my bf has the Vietnamese Ube coffee with boba. I was a bit confused at first because I saw that the menu said they had basil seeds as topping but the cashier made it sound like they don't have it or just didn't want to serve it. So she asked if jelly was okay in substitution for it. Which is fine. My drink still came out delicious. I have seen this place at a lot of pop ups around KC recently just didn't have the time to check them oitm but now I know and see how their drinks are, it is probably best to check them out when they have pop ups closer to KC bc their location is so far to be honest.

Our crepe was delicious!! But it was very rich. Loved the texture combos of crumbled cookies and all the sauciness! Past the sweets, it's such a cute environment! They remodeled 6 months ago and it shows! (IMO, it could use some toned down lighting for the evening - something more gentle than fluorescent ceiling lights.) The two employees we interacted with were very kind! Yum!

We started with their signature La Fresca Crepe filled with Nutella and fresh fruit It was so delicious and beautifully made. The Rocky Mountain was another highlight Cream puffs smothered in three kinds of chocolate and topped with crushed Oreos... pure decadence! Of course, we had to try the viral fruit pastries and they were just as tasty as they were Instagram-worthy To go along with everything, I had the Watermelon Refresher It was so light, crisp, and refreshing--perfect with all the sweet treats. The staff was super friendly and welcoming The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. If you love desserts or just want a fun new spot with unique treats, La Fresca is a must-visit! I didn't get to go until they were a few hours in but they had a pretty good selection left. It's a small shop next door to a Honeybaked Ham in a shopping center on Black Bob. Pretty easy to get to. Has several tables inside if you wanted to sit in but we just grabbed several cupcakes, a Dubai Brownie, and a slice of Cinnamon Roll Cheesecake. While they were already sold out in a couple of my first choices (Triple Chocolate and Cosmic) they had some others I was eyeing. Lemon Blueberry, Strawberries and Cream, S'mores, and Chocolate Peanut Butter. Yummy. I think my faves were Chocolate Peanut Butter (how can you go wrong?!) and Lemon Blueberry. I haven't tasted the brownie yet but since brownie is one of my fave desserts, I imagine I'll like it. We were waited on almost immediately and they were super nice. They have a rewards program too which I get could be dangerous! lol They had quite a few different flavors of cookies as well and I noticed they had several gluten free options which is great for those who must avoid it! This is my first visit but I think they change out their flavors pretty often so I'm looking forward to trying some more!

She also got the chocolate Hong Kong waffle with ice cream and enjoyed it. I would have liked to try some of their food, but wasn't able to during this visit (through no fault of Tsaocaa). The plushies and other merch they had was very cute and I'll very likely buy something the next time I visit. The decor was also lovely, with some very happy plants in the windows. The staff were also friendly and gave me no reason to doubt their skills. My only complaint is that the seating was just shy of being comfortable. My friend said the bench seating was a bit hard, and while the chair I sat in was soft, the arm rests made it a little too narrow for me (I'm plus size and have chronic pain, so finding truly comfortable seating can be a challenge at most places. As a note, anyone larger than a women's 3X probably wouldn't be able to comfortably sit in the chairs at all and would need to sit on the bench). Overall it was a pleasant experience, and I plan to go again!

As a diabetic,I only get to eat sweets rarely or maybe monthly haha and I really take time to decide where to go or what to have, and I wholeheartedly loved Twisted Sugar. This is located beside the UPS store on 119th Street and when I went in the evening, I was surprised by the number of flavors they have to offer! I also noticed they offer different types of drinks as well (speciality sodas, coffee, hot chocolate etc.) I got a banana cream cookie (regular size) for my husband, and I got a cookies and cream small cookie for myself. It was a perfect small bite sized cookie for me. I like the fact that they have a smaller size options because it's great portion control for someone watching their weight or someone like me who is a diabetic and doesn't want to be tempted otherwise. Note: you can literally ask them to add ANYY topping on the small ones. Banana cream cookie - the cookie base was soft and had a thick layer of banana cream. It honestly felt like enjoying a tropical drink with bananas with buttery finish. It had a very strong flavor and my husband loved it. Cookies and cream small cookie - soft, creamy, and chocolatey, sprinkled with small chocolate cookie pieces and chocolate syrup. This flavor was definitely nostalgic. Both of these cookies were priced at around $4.80, and I think that's a fantastic price. They have a cute little shop with 2-3 tables to sit and enjoy your cookies with quick service but I noticed most people were taking their orders to go. A 5/5 for me, especially since they sell small, single cookies (any flavor).
