I was super excited to see taiyaki (fish-shaped pastry) in KC, but it came out greasy inside and out, even though I didn't know taiyaki could even turn out greasy, and the whole experience ran up a much higher bill than most boba joints. All things considered, not worth it. Definitely go check out other local places like Gocha, Ding Tea, and Takao Tea! For Asian desserts, I love Hamu Bakery (formerly Beyond Bread) and Leafy Dessert Cafe.

And i was charged for it after looking at my receipt! And yet somehow this still managed to taste like nothing at the same time. Its watery and simply rushed! For nearly $13, that's unacceptable. If you're charging that much, the drink should at least be made correctly and have some actual flavor. It is poorly made, and it definitely wasn't worth the money. I wouldn't order this again, and I wouldn't recommend it based on this experience.

They run many seasonal drinks with unique flavor combinations at affordable prices. From yuzu sodas to matcha lemonades and strawberry marble lattes, everyone is bound to find something they love. I gravitated towards the Honeydew Niu Niu latte with rainbow jelly because of recommendations to try their specials. It didn't come out like the pictures/menus, but it tasted oh so good! I got it 50% sweet and it was the perfect level. Definitely get less sweet than normal. I wish I could've gotten my boba in a collectible cup, as seen on the window sticker menu, but I don't believe they offer this option anymore. All their ordering is on 3 giant ordering screens around the store. It's a pretty small location, but the booth seating is comfy and plentiful. For an intimate convo, I'd recommend you sit on one of the benches outside the front of the cafe. I don't want to spoil too much before my Instagram review reel, but wanted to put out this review for anyone looking to try a new boba spot. Definitely give this one a try!

This last time I came in I was super disappointed to see that it was covered in very VERY ugly AI generated advertisements for their energy teas. A lot of the original pretty branding was still there, but the AI stuff really killed it for me. I would have literally walked out but my sister really wanted to come there. Just so you know, this type of advertising will truly kill a lot of people's want to come in and try your drinks. I would highly suggest you keep using your old graphic designer for your next round of seasonal drinks. So many people are too shy to say so, so I'm saying it.

Then, you're welcome to find a seat at any of the open seating options which are always nice and clean. After that, they'll either call your number or they'll come find you in the dining area and bring you your order! It was a super nice and convenient process and I enjoyed sitting down in the open area and using their free wifi to browse on my laptop and work on some work related projects. In addition, the Taiwan Toast was super delicious and exactly the kind of sweet treat I needed that day to help me focus on my work. Would definitely recommend this place and location specifically if you're looking for a nice treat and good place to hangout.

Every spot in here is photo worthy, and even on a rainy day like mine when I went, it was just as fun of an ambiance. I especially love the painted wall with the Gocha light up sign. True art decoration has not been lost! I do wish there were some cheaper gashapon varieties, as there are only 2 machines that cost $5.
