A quick pit stop at Kung Fu Tea to curb my recent obsession...boba tea! We have never tried Kung Fu Tea before but they offered friendly service and were quick to make our order. We have been loving the honeydew milk tea flavor and in my opinion, sugar isn't necessary to add. It is sweet and delicious on its own. This spot is small and quaint inside. Not much seating room, but it is available if you choose to sit down and enjoy your tea. They had several flavors including limited time only flavors (i.e.pumpkin and apple) Would love to see the interior updated a bit to be a bit more friendly and inviting. Otherwise, the experience was top notch!
Loved going to this place. To begin with, I loved the ambience of this place inside. It has great views and amazing interiors. The staff is super friendly and suggested best options to try infact they also gave us extra boba bubbles to go. I strongly recommend trying their taro boba, Thai tea boba, and brown sugar boba.
Solid. It's nice that Kung Fu Teas exist around the country, so you can always fulfill your boba cravings. This location is tucked in a strip mall amongst a variety of businesses. There was a decent amount of parking in the single row up front and abundant parking to the sides of the store. The employee on duty was kind and patient. She took care to ask about our preferred ice and sugar levels, as well as ask if the order was correct on the tablet screen. I went with a classic Grapefruit Green Tea with 30% sugar. Flavor was great. The boba was slightly firmer than we preferred but still enjoyable.
Loved the drinks. There are a lot of crazy ones and I can't wait to try them. The girls working we're super fast and pleasant.
So happy to have delicious boba nearby! Easy to order on the app, easy to pick up at the shop. Winter melon tea, with grass jelly- Delicious! New combo for me, but I love sugared winter melon at New Years... and love grass jelly. Absolutely would get again. Personally, I liked that it was relatively low calorie. Taro smoothie with boba (bubbles)- An old favorite of ours. Just yummy, and such a pretty purple. Red Bean smoothie with boba- Really strong bean flavor in this one- we would have liked it more if we ordered it a bit sweeter. Oreo WOW milk- Essentially chocolate milk with crushed cookies and boba. Not my thing, but my son liked it.
My first experience was not too great here, but the last couple visits throughout the past year have been redeeming! I frequented here due to location and have had the opportunity to try a multitude of flavors from their menu. My favorite is the KF milk tea at 50% sweet. I wish they would bring back the baby boba!! However, I like how their boba is sweetened so you don't need much sweetness in the tea itself. I still am not a fan of their other tea varieties as they have still turned out pretty bitter for some reason as though the teas have seeped for too long.
I love being able to order and pick up. They are marked for social distance and only allow a certain number of people in at a time. Their Thai Tea with Boba is my favorite.
Seeing a line going out the door usually means it is good - and it was! This was our first time and we sure enjoyed our drinks. We'll be back!

Long time bubble tea lover finds new spot to enjoy. Great selection here! I tried the taro bubble tea at 70% sweet. Really tasty. However next time I will try 50%sweet because when you add the boba your drink immediately gets a lot sweeter since they are sweetened with honey. My friend tried the honey tea and it was delicious for her first try.
I've been here many times since it's been open and each time I left content with my drinks and suggestions made by the staff. It's been a while but I decided to swing on by again. There were new menu items which seemed interesting. I ask the staff what their recommendations were and they gave very high praises to the Sesame Match and Yogurt Green Tea. I decided to listen to their advices and spent the $10. I really wish I hadn't even come in. Before I even started my car, I tried both drinks and was disgusted. The sesame matcha had a funky bland chalky residue. The yogurt green tea also had a funky flavor and was not very sweet or flavorful. I've had oriental flavors such as winter melon, yakult etc before but these drinks were plain gross. I asked if I could change out the drinks for something else and was told that it was corporation policy not to remake or exchange drinks. That's very disappointing. Today will be the last day I spend money at any Kung Fu Tea chain. Definitely do not recommend.

I forgot to take photos of the inside, but they had really cute capsule/mini-figure machines, and the ambiance was nice, simple, and cool. The machines you use to order are really nice and helpful. One problem is that there were a lot of people there, and since the building is so small and can't hold many people, the end of the line of people had to stand outside. The drinks are so good, and I love how customizable they are. The staff is great at keeping up with the orders as well. read more

(Kung Fu Tea website) My favorite!!! Taro Boba!!! Taro tropical Asian plant of the arum family that has edible starchy corms and edible fleshy leaves, especially a variety with a large central corm grown as a staple in the Pacific. Just tried this kind of tea for the first time ever! Loved the different options, along with the explanation of each that the person taking the order was willing to give us. We went with his recommendations and enjoyed each flavor. Teas are made fresh and served completely sealed with is a super nice surprise. The only thing I didn't love about this place and the reason for four stars instead of five, is that it is very packed inside and uncomfortably awkward. The area where you sit / order is all extremely small and doesn't allow you to really hang out and enjoy your tea on site unless you're all alone and snag the ideal spot at the bar along the window. If it was bigger inside or had more seating options, people would definitely congregate here and they'd likely get a lot more business. read more

I frequent this place because their products are lactose-free. Everything I tried was delicious (taro slush 70% sweet, longan and jujube tea 70%, kung fu milk tea 70%, and wintermelon milk green tea 100% sweet.) I ended up getting addicted to the wintermelon milk green tea and have been going so much that I think almost everyone there knows my drink. They are also very efficient in making the drinks, even if there is a long line, they always manage to get me out of there on time without sacrificing quality. I always recommend this place to my friends and family. read more
Best tea spot in metro KC. I just wish there was a location more up north because this place is a 30-minute drive at least from the northland. This place is small and can get packed so much to the point lines are out the door. It's absolutely worth the wait though. If you come here, GET THE FRUIT TEAS. They are absolutely delicious and have pieces of fruit in them. I got the pomelo tea which is basically sweeter grapefruit. They have edible rinds on the bottom. The presentation is absolutely beautiful. The rinds taste amazing as well as the tapioca pearls. You can adjust your sugar level too so you can't complain if something is too sweet or too bitter. If this location was within a 15-minute drive, I'd go here weekly. read more

Convenient Overland Park location for boba! Super small shop with very limited seating. They have a wide selection of drinks and they can adjust them easily with many diffent topping (charge extra .50 cents for bubbles), adjustments to sweetness, and ice level. They even offer mini bubbles but I'm not a fan since they are too small to chew and they flood your mouth with each sip. The drinks were pretty average for me and I couldn't find one that I absolutely loved. Sadly they dont have my usual flavor of jasmin, but overall its a good addition to OP. read more

So far, I been here three times and this is now my go-to place for decent boba tea. The first time was before they opened and they were doing training and I got the Large Mango Slush with Aloe/Mango Jelly with 70% Sweetness level - it was a little too sweet for me and they had half of my cup full of the jellies which I didn't like much of. Second time, I got the Medium Pineapple Slush with Mango Jelly and 70% Sweetness level - It was still too much jelly for me but I liked the Pineapple slush, which wasn't too sweet. Third time, I got the Medium Strawberry Milk Slush (with Non-dairy creamer which is good if you're lactose intolerant) with Mango Jelly and 70% Sweetness level. I specifically asked to do little jelly and it was the perfect amount. This was probably my favorite out of the three! :D I would definitely recommend checking this place out and try the slush drinks if you like something fruity. read more
Came before the Grand opening. It's a cute little joint with simple but nice design. The service was quick and staff was very friendly to answer any questions. Drinks here are customizable from level of sweetness to the amount of ice, and they have a variety of toppings. However, The Kungfu House milktea is subtle to non-existent of tea flavor...tasted like 90% of milk. I even ordered with less milk and more tea but it was still too much milk. I hope they work on their milk & tea ratios because I don't want to buy a cup of milk...it is called Kung Fu tea not Kung Fu milk. Average cup will cost you about $3.25-$3.50 not including toppings. Toppings are 50 cents-$1.00. You do get quite a bit of toppings so if you want more of the drink, let them know to not put as much of the toppings. read more
Went in for their opening, was really excited to try this chain! However, it didn't live up to the expectations I had. This location can't compare to the other locations I've had in other states, and can't compare to better boba places in KC area. First, the store is super tiny! Five people in line to order practically fills up the entire store front. Not ideal for long visits. Their Kung Fu Milk tea was sub-par. No too sweet, but borderline bland. We didn't adjust sweetness to our drink and took it the way it came so I expected it to be sweet, but I'll have to agree with another reviewer below: the tea tasted more like milk than tea... I also tried their mung bean blended drink. The mung bean flavor was good and not too sweet, but not as smooth as I thought it would be. At first, it was really thick and hard to drink through the straw; I had to stir it around and wait for the ice to melt and dilute the drink a little so that I could drink it. The boba was good, a little too sweet though. Also, it was strangely warm and it definitely warmed up our drinks faster than we'd like. On top of this, they were gooey which made them hard to drink up. However, texture was chewy and flavor was nice. EDIT: I've come here a couple times because the app sends you free money every now and then to spend and I'll have to say this is the only reason I'll go to Kung Fu Tea; I won't pay full price for tea at this location. I've tried other things off their menu in hopes of finding the perfect drink (see, I gave this place a lot of shots). 1. Their herbal jelly was suuuuuper bitter. Yuck. 2. Their boba as other people have mentioned was ROCK HARD the last few times I got it. As mentioned above, I had one good experience with their boba (my first experience), and I usually get either herbal jelly or pudding so I don't always get their boba. The second time I got their boba: hard, thought it was a fluke. Ordered their boba a third time in hopes it was just that one incident, nope, even harder. As previous reviews have mentioned it: I don't think KFT makes their boba fresh. Or if they do, they like to save their leftover boba for use or undercook it, bleh. read more

I love the Kung fu tea in Chicago so much. So I was so happy when I knew they would open in Kansas City. I spent 2 hours to drive there and bought 10 cups of drinks. But I was so disappointed. 1. The bubbles were too hard in the middle. 2. I got a wrong milk tea which had no milk inside. 3. The milk cap was salty and looks like overnight, not so fresh. I wanted to make a phone call when I found my milk tea was just black tea, but there was no phone number on yelp, google, Facebook or their official website. Hope they would get improvement after grand opening. P.s. they accept credit card now. read more

Finally another boba tea place in Overland Park! I got honey black tea with boba and it was pretty good. You can adjust sweetness and ice. I got "Less," which is 30% sweetness but it was still pretty sweet. Boba was nice and soft. I went on a Sunday and it was packed with people. But I didn't have to wait long for my drink so that was good. Also, this is like a grab-and-go kind of place. There isn't really much space for people to sit down and drink. read more

Taste : 3/5 -average for drink ...pearls-5/5 Service: 3/5 Price: $-$$ for a drink Space- def a place to grab and go. Not much space but that's not a big deal. Consistency - 4/5 Taste: 3/5 may look harsh but I'm just saying that it's pretty average. I have tried the kung fu milk tea, honey oolong milk tea, and just classic honey oolong tea- and the taste is pretty good! I consistently didn't like the Kung fu milk tea. It just may be because I'm not used to that flavor. However, I really like the honey oolong- but I would recommend to at least go 70% sweet because it can get pretty sweet. In my opinion where this place shines is their bubbles / tapioca pearls. It's chewy and sweet. Also one thing to note is their consistency. I feel that the flavor is pretty well maintained. No matter who is making it, it tastes like the one I had before- which can be good and bad! read more
