I tried ProteinHouse while in KC for work! It's so nice to have a spot where you can grab something healthy that still tastes amazing. The menu has tons of options whether you're craving a hearty bowl, a protein-packed burger, or something lighter. Everything feels super fresh and thoughtfully made. I ordered the muscle protein shake and it was delicious -- flavorful, filling, and didn't leave me feeling weighed down. The staff was friendly and quick, and the whole place has that clean, energetic vibe that makes you want to come back. If you're trying to eat well without sacrificing taste, this is definitely the place. Highly recommend!

First timer at this specific location . The restaurant was clean. Very busy . The order taker was pleasant and nice. It took us a while to get our food. More like 20 mins but I did understand the ingredients are clean . The server who brought out our food was just okay didn't show us a whole lot of emotion or enthusiasm. The PH burger was a hit . The beef tasted clean and delicious. The sexy bowl was very clean needed seasoning but still a good portion . The detox drink is a fave . All the good stuff your body needs . Overall my visit was well !

Went to proteinhouse after a workout to get that protein in! I do love the shakes, pancakes and bowls. Had the aloha burger and it was okay. I asked for medium and it was overcooked and not a lot of seasoning. The girls were super friendly. I do love to grab a laptop and work there. And it'll the natural light is great!

Protein House Is Decent! I Tried Them For The First Time As A Delivery Order And My Experience Was Good So I Decided To Try It Out In Person! The Service Was Okay, We Were Greeted Upon Entry And Once We Decided On The Food We Went To Order. I Ordered A Coffee And The PH Pancakes. My Coffee Was Pretty Good But The PH Pancakes Were Amazing! It's Hard To Believe That Protein Pancakes Could Be So Good! The Place Is Sleek And Clean. I Gave 4 Stars Because The Service Was A Little Slow But There Was Only One Other Couple In The Restaurant.

ProteinHouse has a vast menu of breakfast, lunch/dinner, bowls, burgers, salads, kids meals, smoothies, açaí bowls, and coffee! I came in to try ProteinHouse and ordered the PH Protein Pancake Combo. This came with protein pancakes stacked high with egg whites in between and a strawberry on top! I love a good sweet and salty combo but I took the egg whites out of the pancake layers to eat it all separately. Overall the taste was very good, you could tell they were protein pancakes, but they had a good vanilla taste to them! There was a lot of seating options inside and the staff was nice. They weren't super bubbly or wanting to chat much but they took my order and brought out the plate of fresh food out to my table, so that was nice enough. I would go back to try out some other menu items like the burgers, salads, other breakfast, and protein shakes. I liked that the menu showed the nutrition facts as well!

Not the best first impression at ProteinHouse in OP. As if it's not hard enough to muster the willpower to order a salad, this one had lots of rotting slimely greens that had me scrounging through it to find something to salvage. It was like that bag of lettuce you buy and then let rot in your fridge, but instead of throwing it away, they used it to make this $15 salad. Bummer!

*PICK UP ORDER REVIEW* So, I ordered my food while leaving the gym & it was ready as soon as I made it to PH! Immediately when I walked in the ladies at the front counter greeted me with smiles! They handed me my order & I left. I did notice it was very clean & you can dine in or outside. I thought that was cool. I will be back to dine but I was on a time crunch today. As far as the food goes, everything was delicious & filling. I'm not a huge fan of sweet potato fries, but theirs were good! I'll definitely give it another try!

I got to try Protein House and the food was overall pretty good--flavorful, fresh, and healthy! However, the portions were a bit on the smaller side for the price. Still, if you're looking for a high protein nutritious meal, it's definitely worth checking out! Just be prepared to order extra if you're really hungry.

Looking for healthy preferably organic and discovered this gem! Clean as a whistle as my grandmother would say. Great menu with great selections for sandwiches, wraps, bowls and salads. M had a build your own bowl with beef and sweet potatoes, spinach, lettuce, red onions, black olives, broccoli with a lime cilantro sauce. I had the chopped salad minus tomato plus onion. Beef was cooked perfectly. There was so much good! And they used real utensils and reusable to go containers. Huge recommendation !!!

Trying to do a more keto/carnivore diet and thought I would try protein house. They were gracious enough to trade out the egg whites on the pH burger for true eggs and they did a great job cooking those well as I requested. I ordered my burger, medium, and it came out well done. I asked if they could add bacon and they did. They failed to tell me that it was actually some turkey chewy substance. Not actually bacon as most people know it. The cost was $21. In the same shopping plaza I'm sure I could've got something at one of the other restaurants that would've been much more appetizing. But it was worth a shot. A lot of their protein bowls look very good just not what I was going after this evening. Definitely give some other other items a try. But maybe find someplace else for burgers.

We were seated on time at a table next to the bar-side of the dining room. Speaking of the dining room, it's a nice, if standard size for a strip-mall space, but I really appreciated that the tables were not stacked on top of each other, as seems to be the case at more and more places these days. It felt like there might be some chance of our entire conversation not being completely overheard by our neighbors, which was nice for a change! Our waitress was fantastic! She walked us through the menu, the restaurant's approach to cooking and seasonality, some of her faves, and made wonderful recommendations! We decided to split a few small plates, which was a great approach! We got to try about 1/3 of the small plate menu, and loved it all! It was all great, but the Black Cardamom Burnt Ends are NOT to be missed! It made my cardamom-loving, Midwest soul very, very happy indeed! The space is a really nice size - not massive or overwhelming - and with the shades drawn down (to seal out the late afternoon sun, thank goodness!) and dim lighting, the mood vibes were solid for a romantic anniversary dinner! The other ambiance item of note is that the restroom corridor smelled absolutely fantastic! Upon investigation, it was due to a burning candle from a lovely local-KC company that was custom made for the restaurant! Yes, they're for sale, and yes, we picked up two! While everything was lovely and the food was very good, you're definitely paying a high price for it. Not that it's not deserved, but the "value" feels aren't necessarily "off the charts", by any means. And that is really my only critique, if there is any at all! Food = 5/5 Facility = 4/5 Service = 5/5 Ambiance = 4/5 Value = 3/5

Accidents happen, and I stayed calm and simply moved my family (including my wife, young son, and in-laws) to another table so we could continue the meal. What was surprising was what didn't happen next. No manager ever came over to apologize, check on the situation, or acknowledge what happened. There was no effort to make it right in any way. At the end of the meal, we were still charged the full amount without any mention of the incident. I'm not looking for handouts--but some basic recognition that I was sitting there in cold, soaked pants for the rest of my dinner and the drive home would have gone a long way. I don't expect perfection, especially at a place I've returned to many times, but I do expect basic customer service and accountability--particularly when something this disruptive happens. The lack of response from management was the most disappointing part. I hope this is taken as constructive feedback, because this experience was far below the standard I've come to expect here.

It's a lovely restaurant. It seems a bit out of the way with mostly corporate buildings around. The restaurant has a nice modern aesthetic. I like the purple hyacinths hanging from the ceiling in one area. It was very steady for an off time in the afternoon. First, our server Olivia was amazing! Very attentive and we were extra needy this day so I really appreciate her patience. We even dropped food on the floor. Oops! She was so nice about it and cleaned it up immediately. We had customizations and extra requests. No problem for her! She went above and beyond. I hope she sees this because she was such a joy! The food was also very good. We started with the biscuits and one peach compote and one blueberry. Both were yummy. They were traditional drop biscuits and I love a good biscuit! We also had an order of fried green tomatoes on goat cheese grits. You get 4 very large slices. I could only eat one. The grits were yummy but there were not enough of them in relation to the friend green tomatoes. They were also encased by a sauce. I'm guessing a remoulade. I don't really care for remoulade sauce so I'd have removed it had I known it came with the dish. It really overpowered the goat cheese taste in the grits. The tomatoes were very al dente and I would have preferred them cooked a bit more. The dish was still good but my least favorite and I would normally love anything with those ingredients and fried green tomatoes are a favorite so the remoulade (or whatever it was) sauce was a real problem for me. I would definitely get them again without the sauce because they are great otherwise. But that sauce just overpowers every other flavor! I got the chicken tender dinner and others in my party got the bone in fried chicken. Everyone liked their chicken. The tenders were a big size. 4 of them but I hit 2 meals out of them. Everyone liked the Parmesan rosemary potatoes. I really liked the bacon green beans. The only side we weren't impressed with was the Mac and cheese unfortunately. The cheese was not good. We got coffees and a chai. All of them were very good. A bit pricey for the amount you get though. Even with the smaller complaints, I'd still give th a 5 because of the outstanding service and the dishes were overall very good and large portions. We will definitely return and I hope to try out a breakfast item next visit!

We hit the club for brunch with a group, and while the ambiance was pure "Country Club Chic," the execution was a bit more "Sunday Morning Sand Trap." The Liquid Courage I started off my round with two drinks. the Bloody Mary. It was fine--tasty enough, but it certainly didn't change my life or inspire any poetry. However, things got interesting with their Tequila/Cold Brew/Liquor 43 concoction. Topped with an egg foam cap, it was actually pretty solid. A bit of a gamble, but sometimes you have to roll the dice when the menu is trying that hard. The Culinary "Hit and Miss" Then came the food, or as I like to call it: The Great Consistency Crisis. The Steak: I asked for medium-rare; I received medium-well with a "char" that felt more like a personal vendetta against the cow. The Potatoes: Apparently, potato portions are determined by a lottery system. I received about half the amount of the person next to me. Maybe I didn't look hungry enough? The Eggs: My over-easy eggs had crispy, hard edges and arrived at a temperature I'd describe as "lukewarm at best." We also had to hunt down salt and pepper like we were on a scavenger hunt. Honestly, I probably should have just hit the buffet and cut out the middleman. The Service Our server was perfectly nice, but he appeared to be roughly twelve years old. Since he wasn't legally old enough to understand the complexity of a craft cocktail, he couldn't give us any info on the drink menu. We just had to "go with our gut"--which is a dangerous game when tequila and cold brew are involved. The Verdict I'm not saying I won't be back, but consider this a fair warning: if Round 2 involves another charred steak and a side of "room temperature" eggs, I'll be sending it back for a rerun faster than a shanked drive into the woods. 3/5 Stars -- Great for people-watching, questionable for potato-equity.

I don't know as I have not been to every place in the area who offers a Reuben. However, it is the best one I have eaten. The sandwich was perfectly maid. The bread was a marble rye, not to thin and thick enough to hold together as you ate it. For the cheese you had a choice of Swiss or Gouda. I went with the Swiss. The sandwich was warmed up just enough to nicely melt the cheese. They make their own corn beef, which you can buy there as well. They had other things that they make themselves, like stuff mushrooms, which looked really good. The corn beef was excellent. With all that said, be prepared to pay $20 for that sandwich. The bartender served me a Guinness (on tap, of course!) and then recommended the Monday Steak Night special ($60) - a prix fixe option which included a salad plus one of four types of steak, sides, and dessert. I opted for the house salad (with sherry vinaigrette dressing), the hangar steak (he was selling it hard!), sautéed green beans, and lemon meringue pie. The house salad was superb, with delicious chunks of goat cheese! I also enjoyed the sautéed green beans, loaded with sliced almonds and fresh garlic. The hangar steak was probably the most disappointing, and solely responsible for this review not earning 5 stars. I took half of it to go along with half of the green beans. The lemon meringue pie looked delicious but I could not eat another bite, so that also went into a to-go container. Back in my hotel room that night, working late as I was jet lagged, I ate that pie. OMG! PURE HEAVEN!! And the main reason this review earned 4 stars! Will be back for the salad and green beans and pie! And some Guinness on tap, of course!!

The space was nice and clean, but unfortunately, the service and the "famous" main course didn't quite deliver a stellar performance. Our table was split--some wanted dinner, some wanted dessert. This apparently threw our waiter into a state of deep existential confusion. The Food: I ordered their "famous" fried chicken, customizing it to three thighs (which came with homemade pickles and a fantastic ham gravy). For $24, it wasn't bad, but it's definitely not "famous" for flavor--maybe just famous for the price tag. Honestly, I could have filled up at Popeyes for a fraction of the cost. Surprisingly, the absolute star of my meal was the side of sautéed mushrooms. It came with little pearl onions, shallots, and green peas. I topped it with some of my friend's arugula to make it fancy, and it was delicious. The Service (or lack thereof): Here's where it went downhill. The dessert order became a saga. Those who ordered sweets expected them to arrive with the mains, but we had to ask several times just to get them toward the end of the meal. By the end, our waiter seemed completely frustrated with our existence. He aggressively boxed up the remaining desserts and semi-forcefully shoved the credit card machine into our faces to shuffle us out the door. Great mushrooms, aggressive math at the end. Proceed with caution.
