    Giant smoothie PB Crunch
    Candice S.

Delicious!! I am so glad that I found the place and that it's right across the street from my gym. My gym supposedly had a juice bar but no one is ever there, but now I can just come here! As someone who is lactose intolerant, I absolutely loved being able to make a drink that I could have without having to pay extra. Also, I can't believe how large the smoothies are!! Such a good amount for the price. The guy at the counter was very helpful after asking if it was my first time. There are a couple of tables and a bar to sit at if you want to enjoy it there. I did not see a public restroom.

Lots of flavors to choose from, very clean inside. Friendly service. Decent price for the size.

I decided to try out Rush Bowls due to the good reviews and big selection. Customer service was good. The ambiance is nice. The PB Crunch was not too sweet and rather bland. I'd probably rate this a 4/10. The Radiance Bowl was okay, about a 6/10. I would not get these two items again but I would try something else in the future.

Absolutely delicious! I love that their ingredients are actually fresh and not just pre-made mixes from a bag. Tons of great options, friendly staff, and wonderful owners. Such a refreshing healthy option to have nearby.

I had seen this place along the road and was curious about it. The entrance looked intriguing so I went in the store. I was greeted by a worker. He asked me if I had been there before and what did I want off the menu. I ordered the summit bowl and waited as he created my bowl. They had seating inside if you desired to stay. They take pride in their Acai bowls and they were okay. If you are into the healthy way then you should give it a try. I will have to go back one day and try a smoothie.

I have never had one of these types of bowls and all I can say is amazing. I ordered the Aloha bowl and it was tasty and healthy. My son ordered the Beach bowl and he already wants to go back for another one. The people working I'm assuming were the owners were very helpful in helping me decide what to get and were very friendly. So on my grading scale of customer service it was outstanding, food taste and quality outstanding and price was good.

This spot is owned by the same team behind Kate's Kitchen up north--which I've always found fantastic--and I'm happy to report this location is on that same elite wavelength. The Experience: The atmosphere is clean and impressively airy, making for a great morning vibe. Both the hostess and server were exceptionally engaging, even providing a personal water pitcher for the table--a small touch that makes a huge difference. The Food: Chicken Fried Chicken: This is the real deal. It was clearly prepared fresh, not frozen, which is a rarity these days. The Sides: The home potatoes were perfectly crispy, and the gravy was thick, peppery, and hit all the right notes. The Biscuit: This "super-sized" biscuit was essentially the icing on the cake. The Eggs: I ordered my eggs poached soft. They arrived a bit too soft (runny yolk was the goal, but these were just under), though in fairness, that's likely on me for the specific request! Verdict: If you want a breakfast that feels home-cooked with high-quality ingredients and attentive service, this is the place. I'll definitely be back for their famous French toast and medium poached eggs .

It's a lovely restaurant. It seems a bit out of the way with mostly corporate buildings around. The restaurant has a nice modern aesthetic. I like the purple hyacinths hanging from the ceiling in one area. It was very steady for an off time in the afternoon. First, our server Olivia was amazing! Very attentive and we were extra needy this day so I really appreciate her patience. We even dropped food on the floor. Oops! She was so nice about it and cleaned it up immediately. We had customizations and extra requests. No problem for her! She went above and beyond. I hope she sees this because she was such a joy! The food was also very good. We started with the biscuits and one peach compote and one blueberry. Both were yummy. They were traditional drop biscuits and I love a good biscuit! We also had an order of fried green tomatoes on goat cheese grits. You get 4 very large slices. I could only eat one. The grits were yummy but there were not enough of them in relation to the friend green tomatoes. They were also encased by a sauce. I'm guessing a remoulade. I don't really care for remoulade sauce so I'd have removed it had I known it came with the dish. It really overpowered the goat cheese taste in the grits. The tomatoes were very al dente and I would have preferred them cooked a bit more. The dish was still good but my least favorite and I would normally love anything with those ingredients and fried green tomatoes are a favorite so the remoulade (or whatever it was) sauce was a real problem for me. I would definitely get them again without the sauce because they are great otherwise. But that sauce just overpowers every other flavor! I got the chicken tender dinner and others in my party got the bone in fried chicken. Everyone liked their chicken. The tenders were a big size. 4 of them but I hit 2 meals out of them. Everyone liked the Parmesan rosemary potatoes. I really liked the bacon green beans. The only side we weren't impressed with was the Mac and cheese unfortunately. The cheese was not good. We got coffees and a chai. All of them were very good. A bit pricey for the amount you get though. Even with the smaller complaints, I'd still give th a 5 because of the outstanding service and the dishes were overall very good and large portions. We will definitely return and I hope to try out a breakfast item next visit!

The menu is large but easy to navigate, and the prices felt pretty average for the area. I ordered the avocado toast ($12.99), and it was bigger than expected--in a good way. The bread was perfectly toasted and piled high with avocado, thick slices of mozzarella, tomatoes, and a nice drizzle of balsamic. It also came with two eggs and a choice of side; I went with the fresh fruit, which was a great complement. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The only drawback was the limited staff. Our waiter was fantastic, but he was clearly stretched thin--handling seating, bar duties, takeout orders, and multiple tables all at once. It was a bit much for one person and did lead to longer wait times across the board. Hopefully, this was just a one-off situation, because the food and service quality were definitely there. I'd absolutely come back again.

We hit the club for brunch with a group, and while the ambiance was pure "Country Club Chic," the execution was a bit more "Sunday Morning Sand Trap." The Liquid Courage I started off my round with two drinks. the Bloody Mary. It was fine--tasty enough, but it certainly didn't change my life or inspire any poetry. However, things got interesting with their Tequila/Cold Brew/Liquor 43 concoction. Topped with an egg foam cap, it was actually pretty solid. A bit of a gamble, but sometimes you have to roll the dice when the menu is trying that hard. The Culinary "Hit and Miss" Then came the food, or as I like to call it: The Great Consistency Crisis. The Steak: I asked for medium-rare; I received medium-well with a "char" that felt more like a personal vendetta against the cow. The Potatoes: Apparently, potato portions are determined by a lottery system. I received about half the amount of the person next to me. Maybe I didn't look hungry enough? The Eggs: My over-easy eggs had crispy, hard edges and arrived at a temperature I'd describe as "lukewarm at best." We also had to hunt down salt and pepper like we were on a scavenger hunt. Honestly, I probably should have just hit the buffet and cut out the middleman. The Service Our server was perfectly nice, but he appeared to be roughly twelve years old. Since he wasn't legally old enough to understand the complexity of a craft cocktail, he couldn't give us any info on the drink menu. We just had to "go with our gut"--which is a dangerous game when tequila and cold brew are involved. The Verdict I'm not saying I won't be back, but consider this a fair warning: if Round 2 involves another charred steak and a side of "room temperature" eggs, I'll be sending it back for a rerun faster than a shanked drive into the woods. 3/5 Stars -- Great for people-watching, questionable for potato-equity.

Everything flows. It's organized chaos done right. The seasonal drinks are consistently creative and actually good. Not just pretty for Instagram. Balanced, thoughtful, and well executed. And the bakery? Dangerous. The display case is pure temptation. Cinnamon rolls, pecan twists, danishes, cookies, scones. Everything looks like the right choice, which makes choosing impossible. They also have solid brunch plates and sandwiches if you're trying to pretend you're here for something other than sugar and caffeine. Now for the one miss. I ordered the pepper jack breakfast burrito, and unfortunately, it didn't live up to the rest of the experience. Flat flavors, mushy texture, no real identity. The hot sauce was doing most of the work. It felt out of place in a spot that clearly cares about quality. Thankfully, the bakery and coffee saved the day. The pecan twist was flaky, buttery, and just sweet enough. The seasonal latte with cold foam was smooth, balanced, and dialed in. Overall, McLain's is a Kansas City staple for a reason. Efficient, welcoming, and consistently good at what they do. One menu tweak away from being near-perfect. Solid 4-star spot. Would happily come back.
