Shop dog... won me over there! This coffee shop is the perfect place for my next book club meeting! It's a big space with plenty of seating! They even have hammocks, couches, a library area and game area, how fun! They are on point here. Drinks were just what I was expecting and more! My latte was perfect, then I decided to try the new seasonal tropical sunset Italian soda( I had not had one in a while) and it was not disappointing. Cannot wait to do some antique shopping nearby and stop in for a drink (and maybe snack:))

While down at the West Bottoms area we went in to this coffee shop and really loved it! Very large and a wide variety of seating of all types. Friendly dog who hangs out and greets customers is a definite plus too. The coffee was very good and so was the service. We would definitely go back.

I never knew how much I would love an Italian Soda on a hot August day. Perfection! Or maybe it's the way they mixed it up here. Blackberry, Coconut Yum! I tried the Hubs iced coffee and it was pretty solid too. What a sweet place to visit! And being that I adore all dogs and this place has its own mascot, even bigger win! Stout cannot be any better. If I was to ever own my own coffee shop, this is exactly how I'd decorate it. Eclectic, warm and inviting. Tons of sitting spaces, makes you want to stay awhile and swing away any worries. I look forward to visiting this place again soon.

I was going to west bottoms plant Co and it was really cold outside so I decided to look for some coffee around the area. I was thinking I was in a different part of West bottom so I was looking for a blip roasters but pleasantly found Java garage. It was really quiet in there but the space was huge. There was a couple people working on their laptops so it looks like it would be a good study area. The vibe was simple casual but had a cool industrial work feel to it. My favorite part of the experience was obviously enjoying the coffee but meeting the pupper that also works there. He was extremely friendly and approachable and he decided to hang out with us. They didn't have drip coffee when I went but I just ordered an Americano and the quality was good. I will definitely be back for more coffees and more pets/ hang outs with a dog!!!

Great little rustic spot. My first day living in west bottoms and can already tell I'll be a regular. Owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, the americano I ordered was delicious.

A small intimate and rustic coffee shop inside the old Central Bag building in the West Bottoms, they share the space with Stuffology, and easily accessible via the front door. A friendly owner that uses Java Brothers Beans of Martin City. I ordered one of their signature drinks - The Mud Pit - basically a triple shot mocha for $4. Probably not a destination shop, but definitely a must do if antique shopping in The Historic West Bottoms.

Good coffee AND it's dog friendly. The customer service was great and a very cute shop in the West Bottoms.

Such a comfortable & cool coffee shop with antique vibes in the West Bottoms, KC. Great Java & soup/sandwich offerings! Would recommend

Was shocked to see that the employees weren't wearing masks or gloves in the middle of a pandemic in a busy flea market.

We ordered a cappuccino, a pourover, two croissants (ham and cheese and tomato basil), a chocolate chip cookie, and two loaves of bread to go (a jalapeno cheddar cheese slipper and a rosemary cornmeal loaf). We had the pastries with our coffees and saved the breads for later. The coffees were excellent; I was surprised I liked my partner's pourover since I typically don't love washed-rind coffees with "fruity" notes, but it was bright and had a strong raspberry aroma and taste without being overly sour. The croissants were disappointingly just okay. They were kind of limp and didn't have the shattering, flaky layers of the croissants I love. They probably would have been much better warmed, but sadly, there was no warming equipment. However, everything else made up for the mid croissants. The chocolate chip cookie was fantastic and had the perfect crispy edge to chewy interior ratio. We ended up eating the loaf of rosemary cornmeal bread and cheese slipper over the next week, and both were incredible. The cheese slipper is like a focaccia with more bite, covered with a beautifully charred cheese. It was difficult not to eat it all in one sitting. The rosemary bread was delicious and studded with little clusters of cornmeal inside, which made for a fun texture and pops of corn flavor. I wish I lived closer to KC, or else I'd be picking up bread and coffee from here regularly!

However, after having spent a fairly small amount of hours eating an alarming amount of BBQ (and ice cream) I just needed a place to sit and digest without eating. My local friend mentioned Thou Mayest as an opportunity to sit for a bit without having to eat. I was looking at their non-coffee options and saw they had a local kombucha on tap, perfect to help with my overstuffed belly. On top of that I did buy a bag of beans; just because I don't drink coffee meant that I didn't have people that enjoy it. More importantly, the kombucha was pretty good and it was nice to sit and relax a little in a pretty cool space. My friend and I had a large space to ourselves near the front hangout area that was like a cross between a outdoor camping space.
