I ordered the Paris by Night which was such a unique flavor with the cayenne syrup and the sesame milk!! My one complaint about it was that I believe I had a hole in my cup because it was gone way tooooo quickly, I definitely found myself wanting more!!!
LOVE THIS PLACE. it's so unique and cute. the menu is so so unique. my boyfriend and i wanted to try so many things. we ended up getting three drinks. i wasn't a fan of the mango sticky rice latte, but the milo latte and thai tea latte were both amazing!
Super cool coffee shop in KC. I don't think I have been to a cooler coffee shop any where else actually. It's amazing how this space is designed and created. It showed a lot of effort and thoughts that went into putting everything together. You must check out their bathrooms. You will be blown away. I liked that the menu got some unique drinks. I was able to try the ube Vietnamese coffee and the Dirty Thaiger which was Thai tea and Vietnamese coffee. The Dirty Thaiger was more like a tea. The coffee was not as strong in this one. Overall pretty good still though. If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend this spot.
Loved this place!! I tried the mango sticky rice latte. As this is my favorite dessert of all time, I loved it! Ube latte also very good. Unique innovative flavors and the first place I have seen offer a dairy free Vietnamese iced coffee. Would definitely come back!
Cute spot for Vietnamese tea with unique flavors that are hard to find in Kansas City. Easy to find street parking nearby. Vibrant decor on the inside and lots of seating. There side wall is outfitted with some quirky merch. The staff inside seemed friendly and were talking to some customers who appeared to be regulars. We ordered the mango sticky rice and Hella good lattes. Service was fast. The flavors were okay. I was excited for the red bean syrup, but I couldn't taste it in my latte. The Vietnamese coffee taste was smooth and did the job of keeping us awake. The ube hella good latte was more true to its description and you could taste the ube flavor. Neither were too sweet. But, they were a bit pricey for the quality of tea and flavor.
Still one of the best Vietnamese coffee shops around. Quick service. Cool Merch and stickers.
Delicious drinks but NYC prices. No idea how locals afford it. Guess this is for tourists? The bap bap latte was phenomenal--such creamy, delicate taste. Not overly sweet--just a touch of something extra for a balanced taste. I'd try all their seasonal drinks. Very potent flavors. Funky vibe--great place to hang. Live plants give this a homey charm. Staff don't really do a good job of explaining how drinks taste like, so you have to guess if you haven't tried something before. Some merch for sale. Bathrooms are phenomenal--one is Home Alone 2 themed and another is disco ball mirror hall party theme. With rap buzzing in the background. What a vibe!
I had a Hella Good (cold) and The Mind (hot). I drank the Mind that day and drank the Hella Good the next day. I've always wanted to try this place, so it was difficult selecting just one drink. I made it easy and got two. The Mind was a nice, smooth coffee drink, just as I was expecting. I love mushroom coffee and it was on par with my expectations. I thought maybe I'd taste something different (due to the condensed milk) or exceptional, but not really. It was a solid drink. I would be tempted to get this again when I want a smooth plain tasting latte. The Hella Good was a good, cold latte... but I didn't taste anything special or different about it. Again, it was good. I don't think I'd get this one again. Now for the mochi donut. This winter cranberry mochi donut takes a starring role in my dreams. Seriously, how can you get a better donut? You can't. This is IT. The donut was chewy and light as well as tender. The coating was sweet, tart and tasty with white chocolate chunks from heaven. I LOVED this. I was mesmerized by the gorgeous plants near the front door. They were all just beautiful. The decor is fun and the place has a nice vibe. It would be easier for me to pay $8+tip for a cup of specialty coffee if the size was bigger. As it stands right now, I will probably treat this place as a very special treat upon rare occasions. But there is one more drink I really want to try. And can't wait to see what the next seasonal mochi donut is.
Cute little spot just east of the River Market. Small sitting room, but they're creative the use of it so there are plenty of spots to cop a squat. They didn't have Chai, but the Mailman is a pretty good alternative. First time having a mochi donut. It was pretty good.
I ran in freezing temperatures on my last morning in Kansas City to Cafe Cà Phê, braving the cold. It was worth it! Once I got to the entrance, I felt welcomed. They're inclusive and inviting and warm (both the weather and the feeling)--I love the colors and interior (and exterior.) There was a line out the door when I got there just after 10am on a Sunday morning! It was popping! There were quite a few patrons in Kansas City Currents gear over an hour before their game. I like their menu--lots of specialty drinks. I like how they have Vietnamese coffee and fun, unique names like "Hella Good", "Paris by Night", "Dirty Thai-ger", etc! I decided on the Hot spiced kobucha (holiday drink November 2025) and a Apple pie mochi donut. I was eyeing the congee but $5 for congee is a bit steep for me. They feature a lot of Asian artists--they have fun stickers, shirts, merch, coffee beans, and gifts for sale. Bathrooms are inclusive. Seating could be more plentiful. Many people took their orders to-go in the cold because there wasn't enough seating (it was so full and popular!) They represent and advocate for Asians in the Midwest well. It's like an homage to the culture, inclusive of all. It's Asian-woman owned and she's been featured in a lot of local publications. This is a must-visit if you're in KC! Service was attentive despite how busy they were.
This is a great spot! The coffee is unique and very strong. They have a ton of different things on the menu so you are sure to find something you like. I ordered the Giddy Up, one of their and I loved it. My order came out very quickly. This is definitely the type of coffee shop that is a welcome place for everyone. I've seen a ton of different events and pop ups that look super fun as well. Highly recommend!
We thought they sell pho turn out it more like bakery and coffee shop. Cool area a bit walk you can have a good scenery for pictures opt but just be careful as a see some transient and quite area not sure if kinda scary area since I'm not from here. It's kinda hot day so I decided to order green tea osmantus it's don't bring the osmantus taste just green tea taste. Maybe the Coffee taste better idk or the bakery so 4 * for now until I come back taste different thing plus really love the vibe of the worker friendly and kind.
When I walked in, the decor and music just gave off this very cool vibe, its a great place to hang out for a bit. The menu itself is fun and creative, plus they have a few vegan options that you don't need to modify. I was unsure about what I wanted, but the staff had great recommendations. I settled on the Mango Sticky Rice Latte, omg was that divine, how sad that I don't live close enough to have this all the time. I'm not exaggerating when I say thats one of the most delicious coffees I've had. This place is great for many reasons, they are a safe place for minorities and the LGBTQ+ community, and we need more of that. Side note: The bathroom was not only clean, but so artsy!

I love this little cafe! It is a great place to have meetings and delicious drinks. The staff are always welcoming and this place is so inclusive! Great place for our queer community! This is the first and only Vietnamese coffee shop in Kansas City! And the culture shines in here. Today for my meeting I got Passionfruit Matcha Lemonade and an an Ube muffin read more
Truly disappointed. In my search to find matcha after my trip to Japan, this was my favorite and goto but looks like I can't depend on it anymore. I ordered Purple Dragon and requested light ice... well what I received was a I think a 16oz cup that was 3/4 full of my drink. read more
This full service coffee shop serves quality Vietnamese coffee in traditional formats as well as specialty and season drinks. The Hella Good is hella-good. They also serve burritos and other breakers and lunch faire. Tons of merch supporting local brands like Made Mobb. read more

Truly one of (if not my top) favorite coffee spots in Kansas City! I love the variety of seating both indoor and outdoor on their patio. My fiancé got a vietnamese cold brew (left) and I always get the iced saigon (right). The baristas are always so friendly and the ambiance is just lovely. Highly recommend coming here for some vietnamese coffee in KC! Support women & asian-owned businesses today and every day! read more

My friend and I took a road trip to Kansas City and I had to return to Cafe Ca Phe because I loved it so much the last time I was here. I was also really excited for my friend to try it out, especially since she had never been there before. She ordered the Dirty Thai-ger, and I got their Cold Brew with Vanilla and Banana Cold Foam. As always, it was so delicious. Just a warning! Vietnamese Coffee is strong! Even if incredibly delicious, do not chug the drink, and definitely avoid drinking it on an empty stomach. Cute space! Friendly service! Street parking! read more

So cute! So vibrant! So much personality. Lots of stickers/shirts, local vendors/artists stuff you can look at inside. I loved the dirty Thai-ger drink i got. It was VERY strong, as i should have expected Wish i had the tummy and time to try everything!! read more
Cafe Ca Phe is BEYOND just your typical viet coffee shop. When you grow up in a PWC like Kansas - you never quite feel at home, feel a sense of community, or feel seen. The owner Jackie is an incredible woman who started her business and has made such a Great impact on helping spread the Asian American culture I a place that has historically lacked it. Her activism and drive to uplift minorities is enough to keep me supporting this business! Cafe ca phe is always full of people sharing drinks, laughter and memory - good luck finding a table haha. The baristas are all a joy to talk to (shoutout to my girl Jessica) and I would highly recommend everyone to stop by and support this local business! Viet coffee use it's definitely not as thick, deep, and concentrated like some places - the coffee are definitely more similar to a latte/Bac Siu if that's your vibe. My favorite is their Thaiger read more

My husband and I visited Café Cà Phê and were pleasantly surprised by its colorful and welcoming vibe. The place was vibrant and full of energy. As soon as we walked in, we saw a cozy couch and table seating, and to the right, there was a line to order. Along the way, they had a variety of fun items for sale, like decals, t-shirts, patches, earrings, and clips etc from different small businesses. I love when local businesses support others in the community! The staff was very welcoming as well. The café has a unique menu, and we both decided to try the Dirty Thaiger with low sugar. The taste was pleasant, but I found the oat milk a bit off-putting. I think it would taste more authentic if made with regular milk or half-and-half. Also, the price was quite high - $18+ (not including tip) for two 12 oz coffees. (P.S: Street parking might be an issue so be ready to walk if you have to park farther away) Overall, the coffee experience was just okay due to the taste and price, but I absolutely loved the lively atmosphere. I'm not completely sure if I'll be back to try more drinks, but I'm giving 4 stars purely for the great ambiance! read more

Came here at a good time as it was National Coffee Day so they gave discount for the drinks. We ended up trying three drinks! I enjoyed the ube and the spicy one, it had a nice kick to it. The other one wasn't as refreshing as we expected but it was still okay. Service was quick and the inside was nice and cozy. read more

This cafe has the spunkiest flavors and drinks of any cafe I've ever visited. It's my top recommendation for coffee for anyone in Kansas City who wants to try something new. My top: the Mango Sticky Rice latte. I try to recreate it at home as best I can. I always feel rejuvenated after each visit. Not sure if it's the caffeine or the flavors. :) read more

Very pleasantly surprised to come across this small innovative, Vietnamese café near Kansas City downtown. The story behind this coffee shop of Broadway singer turned his own business. Jackie Nguyen is quite the success story. I'm a coffee now from LA, and I love new flavors mixed with espresso that are not too sweet. I loved the mind latte which reportedly has no sugar and is Vietnamese coffee mixed with mushroom, honey, and oat milk. Shop is a quaint, nice size, hipster, great place to study, or come for chitchat with friends. We definitely come back for the mind latte read more
Great coffee shop. Yes you should come try it out, or yes you should come back. It's a fun little location, great people watching, and good coffee. Our family goes out for coffee every weekend to coffee shops all around town. This is on my son's top 3 list, and I have to agree. Since we go out for so much coffee, sometimes you just need something different....boy howdy this is it. The coffee is not like what you may be used to, and the flavors (for those that want that) are for sure fun. Go there and see for yourself. My daughter may have wanted the dude behind the counter to ask for her number....but she wouldn't want me telling that. read more
Cafe exterior and interior are beautifully decorated! It's evident the team worked real hard to make this space inviting while paying homage to Vietnamese culture. Came on two separate occasions and was met with great service both times. Got the Saigon which did not taste like traditional viet coffee but was still strong. The ube latte was strong too but was super sweet and felt overloaded with syrup. Hoping to give the cafe another shot. Overall, the coffee did the job but was not what I was expecting for Vietnamese coffee. read more
RUN, don't walk, to see Jackie and the amazing team here. The absolute joy that they bring to the Columbus Park neighborhood is infectious and you won't be disappointed. My favorite drink is the "Hella Good," but I haven't had a drink or snack there that I haven't enjoyed. Check it out! read more
I recently saw a TikTok about this place and had to come check it out. I ended up trying the Hella good, which was Vietnamese espresso Ube syrup, oat milk and condensed milk. Drizzle over ice. It was definitely purple and so cute. Very sweet and creamy I absolutely loved it. I also ended up ordering a doughnut. I believe it was a raspberry flavored with maybe some white chocolate bits on top. This is probably one of the cutest coffee shops in Casey that I've been to. They had so many different options for seating from couches to tables. I will absolutely be coming back as soon as possible! read more

I take a sewing class right by here, so I decided to go on a stroll and finally give this place a try! The inside decor is tasteful and provides an inviting area to relax, get work done, or meet up with friends. The service was great and my drink was made quickly. I also like that they give you a punch card with rewards. The menu is unique with a good mix of classics and originals. I tried the seasonal Saigon Vietnamese coffee. The pandan cream was earthy and added a nice mellow sweetness to the bite of the Vietnamese coffee. The ratio of sweetened milk to coffee was also spot on, not too bitter or sweet. While I feel the price is high for drinks, I can't deny that I literally think about this drink more often than I want to admit - which makes it worth it in my opinion. This is a great spot to occasionally enjoy a drink and sit and enjoy the curated atmosphere. read more
