Pumpkin spice latte

Ase cafe is one of the hidden gems of KC. Outside: Big cafe with a lots of parking spots available. Almost looks like a warehouse turned into a cafe. They do have a table outside and wheelchair accessible entrance available. Ambiance inside: Beautifully designed with a lots of tables and a sofa. You'll find a lot of people working or studying inside this cafe. Very calm atmosphere. Coffee & Pastries: Seasonal drinks & regular coffee drinks available. I tried Pumpkin spice latte and Brown sugar n Cinnamon latte during my couple of visits. Love the lattes here! Everything Danish I tried today didn't taste fresh hoping that Fresh pastries will convince me to give a 5 next time. Service is always great here. Must visit for KC coffee/cafe aficionados.

Now this is a hidden gem... I almost didn't want to leave a review to blow up the spot... just kidding! Everyone on Yelp should go out of their way to check out Ase. Beautifully crafted space with a variety of seating options: bar, tables, couches, etc. The breakfast burritos are from Fox and Bull and are fabulous. The coffee flight ($8.50) is a fun way to try a variety of options. Lovely space, great coffee, and worth a trip!

Hidden gem! Doesn't look like a cafe from outside. Inside is modern, chic and relaxed vibe. Staff were friendly, there was lots of space to spread out for an intimate coffee date or to get some work done. Our order was brought to our table - nice touch :) no one yelling from the front counter. The spice in the chai was divine!!!

TL;DR: Is it worth the drive out here? Absolutely. Every once in a while, it's worth it to make the drive to Grandview and hang out here all day (or at least all morning). It's a bit of a quieter place and it won't be cheap, but there's a wide variety of seating and some of my favorite coffee and pastries in KC. All of the drinks I've had have been really well-balanced, even ones I've had doubts about like the hot strawberry latte. If you're not sure what to try, the baristas are super kind and give great recommendations.

Fantastic shop dedicated to craft coffee. The vibes are great - nice relaxing space with a lot of light and seating options. The staff are friendly and quite welcoming as well. Their menu is super deep with multiple pour over options, a broad range of new and old world coffees with single-origin and blend options across both. Their espresso shots are excellent served as gopd intended - with a glass of sparkling mineral water on the side. Also had a delicious honey lavender latte over ice. Highly recommended if you're on the south side of KC.

Unsuspecting green rectangle of a building that opens up into this beautifully bright area with tons of seating. Great vibes even better beverages. While they don't have my go to dairy alternative they did have macadamia nut milk which still paired really well. Drinks came out with no issue and for only being open 2 months they act like a far older soul. Staff are great. They've hit that sweet spot and are just gliding through while slinging espresso shots. Good menu with the old dependables and some fun seasonal options. Baked goods if feeling snackish. Okay I see you Ase coffee and I like what you've done with the place;)

I got here right around lunch time, the parking lot was packed however across the street there is additional parking. Inside there were plenty of open seats available still. They had a large array of pastries today along with breakfast burritos and a chicken burrito. There is mellow background music playing and the place is quiet quite for as many people that are in here.

A really good cup of coffee and beautiful surroundings.

Cool place. Out of the way and not what I expected in that I walked into the building not knowing where to go. I saw a sign for one place and realized quickly that wasn't a coffee shop. I saw the stairs and took a gamble and a I walked up the stairs. I saw an Open sign. Headed that way and voilà! Coffee!!! I'm a pretty basic girl. I drink black coffee and this cup of coffee doesn't disappoint. I'm surrounded by 20 somethings and I love it. Style, comfort, good music and good coffee.

Wonderful space once you get inside. Cozy and quiet on a weekday. Great spot for remote work or convo with a friend. Tried matcha and they did not right! Was very good with macadamia milk option. (This is the only alternative milk option they offer).

Honey lavender ice latte is a great one for their spring offering.

Good food, great prices!…read more We are always looking for places for breakfast. I think it may be our favorite meal to eat out and Caleb's will probably make it into our rotation. The place is part of the red bridge shopping center which has been redone and looks really nice. I got the cheesy omelet with ham. Some variation of this is what I always get. It had cheddar and jack cheese, and it tasted really good. I think if they would have added American cheese to the mix it would have been perfect. I got the potatoes and unfortunately they were over seasoned. The sourdough toast was good. My wife got the country scramble. She liked it but she thought the gravy was just ok. Seems like gravy is the weakness at a lot of places so if you find one that has great gravy then that is five stars. The restaurant itself is fine. It's clean, but to me it just looks like every other breakfast restaurant and I wish they would have done something different to stand out. Our server was very accurate, efficient and pleasant. It's a breakfast place so they have big sections and turning tables is the name of the game, so keep that in mind. Having worked in restaurants in my younger days I totally know what makes a great breakfast server and this is what you want. The price was really good. My wife and I ate there for 30 bucks. In 2026 that is really good. Overall, the place was good and the price was great. I gave it 4 stars because nothing stands out but it's solid all around. For the most part, that is all you need, we will be back!

Tried the Texas Benny which was really good. The gravy was tasty but the potatoes weren't seasoned or salted. Also tried the Denver scrambler. I ordered with breakfast potatoes but ended up getting hash-browns but besides that it was good. They did fully butter my bread when I would've wanted the option on how much to apply. Also tried their horchata which didn't have as much cinnamon as I'm used too but still super yummy. There weren't many people here on a Sunday at 9 but they seemed to be running around while having one big party. I personally think it's a typical breakfast place and don't plan on coming back but it's nice to try at least once.

Our order came out pretty quickly, though another employee had to run out with something that was left out. About five minutes into the drive home, the restaurant called again--another item had been forgotten. I turned around and called when I got back. They offered a free drink, which we declined. At that point, the food was already cooling off, and we still had a 10-minute drive ahead, so waiting around for drinks didn't seem worth it. Mom got the Eggibirria Omelette and really liked it. I tried a bite and thought it was good too. A little too "wet" for me, but that's just personal taste. Now, about my order: The Mamba Burrito. It was big, and the spinach cheese dip was actually really good--though some of it leaked into the bag during our trips. My main issue is with the burrito itself. The menu says it's filled with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, chorizo, pico de gallo, and potatoes, topped with spinach cheese dip. That's not quite how I'd describe it. Honestly, it should say: "A giant flour tortilla filled with potatoes (and a few other things if you dig around enough)." The potatoes weren't just part of the mix--they were the mix. The eggs were barely noticeable, buried in what felt like a mountain of spuds. Bacon showed up in a few random flakes. The sausage and chorizo were there, but the chorizo was not a flavor I enjoyed and I usually love chorizo. And the pico? Maybe a spoonful, tops. To be blunt, I think I could've ordered two full-sized baked potatoes and still ended up with less potato than what was packed into that burrito. It was just too much--overwhelming and totally out of balance. I'm not saying I'd never go back; sometimes a place deserves a second shot. But with so many options out there, this one's not exactly high on my list for a return visit.
