Came in on the 4th of July and grabbed a Salted Carmel Mocha and a slice of red velvet cake. I believe the cake was gluten free and I couldn't tell, it was delicious! The coffee had good flavor and was really smooth as well. 10/10 experience. read more

This review is only based on the latte that was a gift from my daughter. The flavor was an iced toffee latte with oat milk. The latte was strong, but had a good balance of flavoring and honestly was one of the best lattes I've ever had. A good amount of caffeine kept me alert and Vibin for majority of the day! read more

First time visiting this coffee shop in Lee's Summit. My Valentine's Day drink was delicious, I feel like there was a good balance of espresso, milk, and flavoring. Food - we ordered a sausage burrito, which was very delicious. They definitely give you a lot of meat, which is nice since that's what you're paying for. No potatoes in the burrito, which is another plus in my opinion. Bagel sandwich with added pesto was perfect. The bagel was soft and fresh which I appreciate. Excited to return here again! read more

Loved this place!!! They had ample street parking, a cute patio out front and on the side of the building as well. The inside was so big with lots of seating options as well! And it was just super cute! I had the broccoli cheddar quiche which was super yummy, it could use a touch of salt for me but I'd give it 8/10! I also had a medium iced Carmel toffee truffle latte, they were able to make it partially sugar free and I had mine with oat milk. They had lots of flavors and non dairy milk options as well. It had a great price point as well, I paid $15 for my order which I was thrilled with. There was a cute little area with "shopping". I also saw they do door dash as well! I would definitely recommend! read more

Cute little coffee shop with a fire place in the middle and lots of seating areas. Menu is large both for food and coffee. I ordered the Chicken, Bacon and Ranch Burrito, which was a good size and had a lot of flavor. It definitely made me want to check out more of the items on the menu. The coffee was really good as well. Wish it was closer to were I live but I will definitely be back for more!! read more

Gusto Coffee Shop - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Lee's Summit, Missouri

I remember the first coffee shop I went to. It was called Coffee Time and it was a sad place, more of a donut shop. It had stained preformed plastic seats, a terrible smell of industrial ammonia with terrible brews with awful day olds. Nowadays, coffee shops have as much sophistication as fancy restaurants. Gusto is one of those spots. It is very spacious, with seating for several dozen people and even has a outdoor seating area that overlooks a very nice field. It has a nice fireplace as well as little nooks and crannies for you to sit in. I give it top grades for store designer. They did a great job. The coffee itself is very good. As someone who is trying to drink coffee black, I have only found a few places were I could do it. However, while the coffee was good enough to drink on it's own, the brew itself was mild and inoffensive, even though I drank the bold Brazillian. The snack I had was called a scone, but it wasn't. It has the taste of a cookie, or those "cookie pizzas" that you see at bake sales. However, no matter, it was good. The one thing secret that you might want to try out is that on Weekdays, coffees are only $0.99 after noon, so my bill for both only came out to $3.09 tax included! I would suggest this place if you aren't too discerning about the brew and just want to get a good cup of coffee. It is worth coming to. read more

Guess it was a great coffee shop! Not only do they have great coffee and pastries, but they have cute dining spaces as well as comfortable chairs near a fireplace and an outdoor area. They often have local musicians perform and they are very invested and involved in the community! Their staff is knowledgeable and friendly. This is one of my very favorite coffee shops in Lee Summit! read more

We just love this place! This is my neighborhood coffee shop. The food here is excellent and so is the coffee. The service is outstanding, and the staff is always kind. It's clean and nice and you never have to worry about a thing here. It kind of feels like you're in your house. Every day after 3 PM, you can get a cup of coffee for one dollar which I do frequently because that's when the afternoon sleepies hit. Recently, I brought my wife here and she had a mango smoothie that may have changed my life. It was outstanding! I'm a regular here and I love it! read more

I come here every once in a while. It can be nice during down times whether you want to work or study. The coffee is decent, with the freshest brew in the morning, although they do try to make fresh brewed coffee throughout the day, and you can get your own refills. As far as noise level, it can be challenging when this place gets crowded. Unfortunately, the most recent times I've visited they've played some religious music, whereas in the past it's been subtle and not as frequent. I am sure it will be worse as the holidays approach. Today, I was disappointed to find that they lacked a full case of baked goods. So, I don't know what happened to their usual supply. I ordered a croissant bacon, egg and cheese, and forgot how the last time the bacon was burnt, and should have ordered something else because, again, the bacon was like bacon jerky or something hard. The one consistent thing I've found is how this place always has nice and very professional staff to keep the place running smoothly. read more

How do I keep forgetting to rate this place? It's such a great local hangout spot. Perfect for sitting alone in a comfy chair or meeting up with a few friends on the patio or even a business coffee meeting. As a tea lover they have an amazing selection of "fogs" and my favorite happens to be the"Canadian fog"... It has a hint of maple (naturally!) The cold drink fridge has simpler options like juices, sida and chocolate milk so if you're here for a sandwich (breakfast or lunch) you've options! Christopher Elbow chocolates and a good selection of pastries too. What's not to love? They even sell bowties and earrings. read more

I dined in to work on the wifi a bit before working nearby. The staff is super nice but they got both my coffee and food order wrong, but they were happy to correct it. The coffee is fine/ok. Tons os seating and tables, so it feels a bit crowded, but there's a patio with some shaded seating- had the weather been nicer, I would have sat outside. There is a Christian vibe here- nothing wrong with that, but it isn't my vibe, so my rating is not based on this factor, just a reminder to myself in the future that I felt a touch out of place here. read more

This place has changed since my last visit. The restrooms are still clean, and the door locks are more sturdy. The little table I liked to sit at and chart has become a child's play area/Lego table. The menu has expanded and the food selections are greater. I love that they have cheesecake! Yum! Brewed coffee is a self service bar of single beans in three roast strengths. I am enjoying Nicaraguan dark. They also had a holiday blend, which I believe is flavored. It's right near Longview community College so it has a college vibe. read more

Make sure to come long before they close if you want food. They close their kitchen quite a bit before they close. Also, employees begin to put up chairs over the tables over an hour before they close. Makes it feel unwelcoming since you don't have anywhere to sit on top of the tired glares you get from the employees at you enter an hour before close. Food is decent, espresso they use in their drinks is not so great. read more

Great coffee shop. Service, coffee and food was good! I loved the quaint coffee shop feel.

I ordered ahead an hour before and still had to wait 25 minutes for two drinks and one breakfast sandwich. I checked in at arrival and people who were still in the long, long line when I arrived started getting their orders before me. While I was standing at the pick-up, I heard the person working the espresso bar tell multiple people he knew that he would bump them up to the front of the line. By the time I asked again, my drinks were sitting on the side behind the counter (no call out of my name to pick up) and luke warm. My breakfast sandwich still wasn't ready. This place was NOT understaffed; they were just inefficient with what they had. Which makes it even worse. Never again. UPDATE: The breakfast sandwich and at least one drink was made incorrectly. I ended up having to go to another coffee shop to a new drink. read more

I had just finished a long walk and was looking forward to a new coffee shop. Hopped on my handy Yelp ap and it showed me this shop. There's plenty of parking, and it's a great location with inside and outsides covered seating. I had the Toffee Carmel blended latte with oat milk and an extra shot. It was delicious! The staff was super nice, and the shop was very tidy. I can't wait to come back with my friends and have a meet up. read more

Coffee tastes burnt! I love the ambiance. Unfortunately! Allows pets. The fireplace is relaxing.

COVID-19 UPDATE Hidden in the strip mall across from Longview Community College, Gusto is one of my favorite coffee shops in the area. Walking through the front door I am always impressed by the warm welcoming feeling I get. It might be due to the stone fireplace in the center of the room, the aroma of the brewing coffee, or friendly smiles on the faces of the staff. Near the fireplace there is overstuffed furniture to relax in, and standard tables and chairs. There is also and inviting patio for outdoor seating. That is a pretty good way to start the visit. But on to the coffee. First off it is pretty good and never has the "burnt" after taste found in some of the well known franchise shops. Their selections are surprising considering the size of the place and the fact that most of their business comes from the college. Pro Tip: Seniors can get a cup of coffee (choice of light, medium, or dark roast) for $1.00. Not $1.00 plus tax, but just a dollar! They also offer pastries, sandwiches other tasty munchies. Free Wifi is available. Do not take my word for it, you likely deserve to feel good with your coffee once in a while. COVID-19 Considerations: Along side of the sign laying out the Jackson County guidelines for restaurants is another one that says, "Don't have a mask? Call 816-767-1100 for curbside delivery." I like their attitude. Staff wears masks and gloves. Customers are requires to wear mask whenever they are not seated. Social Distancing is enforced and capacity has been reduced. Tables are sanitized after use. read more

Overall: First time visitor to area and this coffee shop has it all--cozy feel, warm fire and warm and friendly employees. Well worth a stop!! Will be back before we leave town. Service: 5 stars- Welcomed upon arrival and when told this was our first time, was very helpful and helping us decide on our choices. Staff was very personable and made us feel welcomed as family. Drinks: 5 stars- Had the Peanut Butter Mocha. Great deep coffee flavor with a hint of PB that makes this a win win (coffee, chocolate and PB:)). Didn't get any food but looked great to include several gluten free pastry options Environment: 5 stars- Well done warm and cozy motif. Has a gas fireplace in center of seating area with seating on both sides. Eclectic decor to include artwork for sale. Easy music playing in background that is definitely background and allows you to have pleasant conversations. Great large outdoor patio with views (since this location is on a hill). read more

A very nice coffee shop but with a religious agenda. The breakfast burritos were good, but the coffee was just ok. The homemade pop tart was too doughy, too sweet, & not enough filling. The whole experience was very amateur. read more

Busy environment. Even so, the line wasn't bad when I went. The friend who recommended this place to me said they did have to wait in line to order. Close by Metro Community College, so I imagine lots of the college students hang out here. Scone is more like a triangle cut half inch thick cookie made of mostly butter. Never experienced such a "scone." Chai latte is seriously too sweet. I couldn't finish it but I don't like to waste so I'm taking it home to dilute the next morning with coconut milk or something. Doesn't quite earn 3 stars because I probably won't be back for this nonsense. The barista was very nice though. read more

This place is pretty good, i was surprised, but then, in my quest to try every local coffee place in the area, surprises come in bunches. first off, the coffee here is pretty good. not sure the roaster, but a big bonus for 24 oz to go cups. very decent coffee prices as well. secondly, the food here is pretty tasty. muffins are on the small side, but delicious, breakfast sandwiches are on the small side, but tasty as well, most of the food is kinda expensive, but hell, it's convenient, if you wanted it cheaper, go make it yourself! i saw a dog in here the other day, which chaps my ass when people take their pets out in public, but oh well, not the owners fault. read more

So I really like the atmosphere and I love that they have food, coffee, wine and beer. Love that they have live music sometimes (wish they had it more often - especially the mellow music). Today was disappointing however because of pricing (see below email that I sent to the owner and I did not get any sort of response). The breakfast burrito was tasty however it was so greasy that grease dripped out and stained my shirt, pants and sweater. I will go back because it is a nice place to sit and work but I hope when I do the pricing situation has been taken care of. Also disappointing to not have acknowledgement of the email. If it was addressed via email I would not be leaving a less than perfect review. Dear (manager), I was in today 1/15, and ordered a cup of soup and a small breakfast burrito, mostly in part because I have budgeted myself for eating out. Reading the prices on the menu, the cup of soup was listed at $3.50 and the small breakfast burrito was listed at $1.85. My total was over $8.00. When I looked at my receipt, I saw that the items were around a dollar more than listed on the menu board. When I questioned the barista about it, she explained why the prices have gone up. I understand that business prices increase ( a whole dollar- about a 30-40% increase - seems a bit steep) that was not my immediate concern, but to not have posted anywhere that the prices have increased is unacceptable and poor service. A sign should be posted on the menu board or on the cash register that the actual prices listed on the menu board are not in fact accurate. A business should not charge more than the posted prices. Thank you, read more
