I met a friend here for coffee on a cold Friday morning. It about 15 degrees outside, but warm inside. There were lots of people having coffee at 10 am. I ordered a decaf Americano and a chocolate chip cookie. My friend had some coffee and a breakfast burrito. She is a huge fan of their burritos and it looked good. I enjoyed the cookie a great deal. They also have Hannah's Donuts available. The coffee was a bit thin and weak. Not much flavor. They also don't have Sweet N Low, so I will bring my own next time. read more

Post Coffee has been on my list and is now permitting on my list. I purchased a latte with whole milk and their roasted coffee was delicious plus a blueberry muffin. The decor is simple, black and white, house plants ( just a few for color) a little bit of a warehouse feel and the music was singer/songwriter at the right volume so you could talk. The menu is on the counter which I didn't see because the pastries were visible and looking delicious but over heard someone say they have a great burrito and protein balls. This order from Post Coffee Co was my first time ordering through Too Good to Go and what a haul. I received a cherry-filled donut/pastry, a regular donut, and drip coffee with cream. My husband isn't a donut person, and we agreed that these were both delicious. Honestly, I love that you all do the Too Good to Go program, and it lets people try things they may not have before. I normally would have never ordered a pastry, but after trying these, I absolutely would. The drip coffee was delicious, and I wasn't sure what to expect, as I normally get lattes when I visit. I would have given Post a 3 star review, however we have repeatedly ordered a cold brew and have never gotten a good one. Everything else is decent enough. We love to try new coffee shops, however sometimes we stay close to home and that's what this place is to us. It has "hipster" coffee vibes and location, however the coffee is in general so-so. Occasionally there is a seasonal latter that the wife loves, but in general I pick a cortado, the daughter gets something sweet (most of the lattes), the wife picks a seasonal (hit or miss), and the boy usually wants a cold brew. Today he took 1 sip and he went back to the counter to buy something else. No big scene necessary, just purchased something else. In the past I have gotten the cold brew as well, however have not enjoyed it either. Now....for something above average.....the breakfast burrito if you can imagine it. So if that's your draw to a coffee shop, then you do need to try this place out, just for that. You will need to wait 10 min or so for it, but it is good. read more

It's been a while since I have been here. The coffee is still good, and their house coffee remains at a comparable price to other coffee shops. The food, however, is drastically pricey. The cheapest stale donut that I happened to have today was over three dollars with tax. The sausage burrito was over $9 and not very big. I had it before, maybe about year or so ago when it was about $6--a much more reasonable price for it. The place is still well staffed during high traffic times, which appear to be early, especially on a Sunday. However, depending on the barristas, who play their music of choice from their iPhone playlist, that can be very loud, almost like club music loud. The base was a bit much today at times. I remember this place when it opened, and the proprietor has done well for himself and has expanded to other locations, but it does seem that when a place expands into a chain, it loses modest appeal. read more

I ordered the cinnamon and apricot oatmeal. I loved that they offered water or milk and I opted for milk. The ratio of milk to oatmeal was a bit off and therefore, running. The milk wasn't hot enough to fully cook the oatmeal but the flavor was good. I also ordered a hot, plain latte. The only milk options were whole or oat. I wish there were more milk options, but the latte was delish. read more

Post has been a local favorite of mine since they opened - I live out of MO now, so it's a treat I always make sure to give myself whenever I'm in town for family. The smell of the fresh roasting beans, the often mellow but jamming music, and open seating atmosphere make it a comfortable and welcoming place to chill, work, or make a quick stop. Cannot recommend everything enough. These is not a single bad thing I've had. I always buy the whole bean Ethiopia - the blueberry notes shine so well when brewed. read more

I was looking for a place to work while my daughter was training and I navigated myself to the Colbern Road Library Center, which is an absolutely gorgeous new public library with all of the amenities needed (read: free Wi-Fi and outlets galore). Bonus that there is a Post Coffee Company tucked into the front of the library. What a great place to hang out. I came back three times on my short trip. read more

When I called their number it was just a recording saying they offer take out/curbside and I needed to order online. Ordered a dirty chai latte. Checkout was straightforward on their website. It was made quick and ready for pick up at the time I was told. I had originally called their store number to find out if they were opened for dine in but there was no information. For those wondering it is open for dine in as of 12/27. I probably would've bought more if I had come into the cafe to order lol. Chai tea- lil bit spicy. Not my fav, but not bad! Stopped by here on my last day in KC. I was pleasantly surprised by the number of polite golden retrievers outside the cafe. There were only two baristas working, but they were very quickly despite the cafe being full. My coffee was okay. The barista didn't ask if whole milk was okay and I forgot for a second that milk kills my stomach. I paid for it all day, and unfortunately that's all I remember of the place. I had really poor service today. I come because I love the Pour Overs they have. If I wanted drip coffee, I can make a great drip coffee at home. Today, I was told they don't do Pour Overs on the weekends anymore because they are too busy. There were 3 people behind the counter, and I was the only person in line to order. I'm not able to go to Post Coffee as often as I would like because I can only go on the weekends, and not even every weekend. This was disappointing. I don't know if I'll ever be back. read more

This is one coffee shop I am not to into. I have been multiple times and the few times I had drip coffee it just wasn't great. I did get a latte the last time and it was better but this is one of those places I will go if asked but I won't suggest it as a favorite. The service is always good though. Post is my go-to café, mostly because it's closest to work, but also because they, like Jesus, "do all things well". I'd give them 6 stars if I could. They roast their own beans and other local places have started using it exclusively. Menu is short and sweet like it should be. Coffee and food stuffs are delicious. Not the best place for a quiet 1.5 novel crushing but optional for meet ups and hangouts. Can get moderately busy but always seems to have so least one seat in out outside. It's the "Cheers" of cafes and now a KCMO institution after expanding to two Lee's Summit locations, Independence, NKC and Goat Hill / Westside. read more

The Food: I've had some pastries from here, and it's great! It makes me smile the way it's SUPER fresh and the fact that they put just a little bit of love in it! The Ambiance: I love the way they got the inside so clean with groups of people coming to work and chill out and drink coffee . Still can't get over how much I enjoyed visiting Post! I'm never really in Lee Summit so when I knew I was going I had to stop by and check it out! I didn't realize I was going to walk into such a gorgeous open space! They have amazing lighting in here! I ordered some drinks for my friends but also a vanilla oatmilk latte. Oooooh my lordy it was so stinkin good! I'm not quiet sure if it was the in house made vanilla syrup or what. But I get vanilla lattes all of the time and that one was one of the best I've had! I also ordered my drink in my 20oz yeti. The biggest size they have is a 12oz, but she accommodated my ordered and was so nice about it. She also gave good recommendations for my friend's drinks. Because they have such a big space, their patio area basically goes around their entire shop. Two giant picnic tables on one side and then some comfy patio seating on the other side. OH! And I always shout out places that have a diaper changing station in their restroom and they happen to have a super legit set up here for follow parents whos kids are in diapers!
