I like a lot of things about Love's. The coffee, drink creativity, people, but I go through very seldom now because the check out procedure is so awkward. Why do you ask me to give a 15% minimum tip in the drive through. I want to give a tip, but feel like the process where the checkout person is hanging onto the register with me hanging out of my car to reach is really awkward. A 15% minimum option tip seems like a lot for a drive through where I am not seated at all. I try to remember cash now when I visit, but sometimes I don't have cash. It is so weird how I am asked for a tip with the person hanging onto the register and not letting go. Why can't you either process my card or pass the device so I can enter a custom tip and also actually see what I'm doing. I go to Love's about 2X a year now versus several times a week because of this. read more

Cute little store with a hand full of seats inside and a large patio area. It seemed like most people that stopped in went through the drive-thru, which went quickly. Went thru the drive thru for a late Sat morning pick me up. I got a shaker with oat milk. It took a little while for our drinks. I like when a SF option don't at taste artificial, like this one did. This is close to my daughter's hood so I will have to take advantage of it location & try a different item. read more

I love, love, love going someplace, like great coffee shops, and they recall what you like. Coming here is almost making me feel like "Norm" in that place where everyone knows your name. They practically have my love shake prepared the way I like it by the time I get in the door. Their attentive service is the best. This place is a treasure. Love the vibe for working, but the indoors hasn't been open during Covid precautions. The drive thru is open as is the lovely patio. This place truly love's coffee and lives up to its name. I have yet to get a bad cup of brewed coffee here, and their espresso drinks are always spot on. Their love bombs (protein ball) are huge and more than a meal in itself. I also love their blueberry scone. I greatly enjoy their ice cream too. Their chocolate affogato is lovely. Their hours are limited and they do stay open late on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The owner was just locking up one afternoon and reopened just to make me a coffee. That in itself earned my loyalty to this coffee shop. They go over the top to provide the best coffee and service in the area. They have cool merch too. read more

This may be a relatively short review.... However it's decent enough coffee from a group of people that keep the line moving. Specifically to the coffee, it's beans are better than Starbucks, but not the best in Kansas City. We live nearby so go here frequently. The food is good, the coffee is decent, and it's close to home and quick thru the line. We will continue to come. If I had any suggestions, it would be to use Broadway beans. read more

I have been following Love Coffee for some time now and we finally made it in this morning. The cafe has a few tables inside, a large outside area that is covered and a drive-thru. The drive-thru seemed to be the way most choose here. Inside is quiet but there just isn't the "I could sit here all day" vibe. It felt very commercial. It is clean and laid out very well. Service is fast and friendly. They have an assortment of breakfast hot items as well as pastries and ice cream. Their coffee is smooth and delicious. I ordered my drink extra hot and it was served just as requested. We would definitely check it out again when in the area. read more

Very nice service, cute place ~ however the drinks were not flavorful. My coffee did not taste like coffee. It was almost like sunflower seed shells. Kids love matcha, and they said it tasted like warm water. When I poured out there virtually untouched drinks, all the green powder was caked at the bottom. This was only my second visit and man it was packed! Such a small space was crowded but it made me happy for the company. I got an iced mocha, a breakfast sandwich on a bagel and later a smoothie. The bagel was a little chewy but the bacon and everything on it was good. The smoothie was alright. Tasted really ice creamy? I'm not sure if that's what is in it but I was hoping it would taste more like mango and less like ice cream. That being said, the staff was super friendly and efficient. In an effort to support more small businesses, I was excited that some recommended Love, Coffee. Upon arriving the line was pretty long (I'm sure it had a lot to do with the inside still being closed to patrons because of COVID) but moved quickly. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable when I asked for suggestions and substitutions. The iced americano was lovely, I wish I had a straw to sip it would have made it easier to drink it on the road. I am not much of a coffee drinker, but my wife LOVES Love, Coffee! It is a local coffee house with quality beans and great service. They have plenty of parking, a nice outdoor seating spot, and even a drive through. They also have a few pastries including what look like homemade pop tarts! It is unfortunate to see that Scooters decided to build a new location about 50 feet from Love, Coffee, but I am hopeful that the residents of Lee's Summit will support this local business. read more
