Cute little gem! I come here before work throughout the week and the coffee is always spot on! Not to mention, they are very quick to make your order. Staff was fantastic, super friendly. Aesthetic was bright and beachy, a few small tables and a high top area. I got a seasonal special, the white chocolate mocha raspberry latte. The right balance of syrup flavor and coffee, the barista also recommended the cranberry oat gluten-free bar, and it was delicious. The barisas were friendly. The place was busy. It was too loud for conversation so we took our orders to go. Mr G got his usual double shot of espresso. His verdict was ah it's OK. A little bitter. I got an iced latte. The pastries were all wrapped for individual portions. We did not get them heated. The blueberry coffee cake was delightful, and so was the butter crossant. The owner is super friendly and easy to work with. I booked this place for a bridal shower and she's even helping provide food and pastries! We tried the caramel coconut latte today and it was PHENOMENAL! My grandma says it's the best coffee she's ever had, and she can be very picky! Very chill and calm, would be a great study spot after school or a place to catch up on work or catch up with friends! I just saw that we FINALLY have a coffee shop near my house. Since I was off today I decided to try it. This cute little beach themed cafe will have you falling in love. The staff is nice and the store is clean. My latte was delicious and I definitely will be back tomorrow to post a follow up review. Before leaving the shop I went up for a refill, hoping it was free but willing to pay half price especially since I was using the same cup. We've been waiting for Lakewood to open a coffee shop but unfortunately, haven't been impressed by this spot. The cold brew was very bitter, almost like it was brewed too long. We also got some bagels but they were mediocre bagels that you'd get from the grocery store. $5 for a bagel from the store doesn't seem fair, we haven't tried any other items though. The ambience is okay but not conducive to a coffee shop. Maybe sound proofing or foam in the ceiling could help with echoing? All in all, Overboard has potential but could step up their game in quality of food and drinks offered. read more
