Greta place for a quick coffee and pastry. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have lots of seating including an outdoor deck to sit when the weather is nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a drive thru for your convenience as well. Staff was pleasant.

Stopped in on a raining morning to do some computer work and grab a coffee, The staff had a fun family vibe. [[HIGHLIGHT]]With fun entertaining music and a great view of the Downtown KCMO skyline.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I found the best seat in the house up front by the door looking out at the skyline.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They offer several options of food and pastries. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seating area doesn't seem that big but the whole time I was there the crowd came and went quickly with plenty of seating the whole time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a drive through as well if you are on the go. I have been checking out different coffee shops around the KC area now for about a year and this is on of the best Lattes I have had. The drink was smooth, creamy and had a great flavor. This is definitely on the top of my list.

I always love stopping into Splitlog while in KCK. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is nice to have a drive thru option but the inside is beautiful and relaxing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I always order a honey cappuccino and it never disappoints. Highly recommend stopping in!

Two Ethiopians and two Colombians, all amazing and best in the city

I think these may be the best Ethiopians and Colombians in the city. Just was down at onyx in NWA and I grabbed an Ethiopian from them and Splitlog is better.

Stopped by this café and had a pistachio croissant with a drip coffee. Employers were friendly and welcoming. The croissant was fresh and flavorful -- the pistachio filling added a nice touch without being overly sweet. The drip coffee was a medium roast, smooth and well-balanced. Prices were fairly average, but the overall quality made it worth it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also really liked the vibe of the place -- relaxed, cozy, and a great spot to unwind or get some work done.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would definitely come back.

My second time here, once before the pandemic and now after. Great service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Hoppin' space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had a great experience both times. Their Cortado Is one of the best in the city! This time I also enjoyed a brown sugar cinnamon latte and GF breakfast bowl. Highly recommend giving Split Log Coffee Co. a try if you haven't before. Worth it!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Lovely spot in KCK![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating throughout, lots of options for coffee.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There are donuts and coffee beans for sale too! I always look forward to coming here. Bonus points for having a drive through! Vegan friendly

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Splitlog is such a charming gem nestled into the Strawberry Hill neighborhood of KCK.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Every time I've been in I've been impressed with the clean, modern, ambiance and the super friendly vibes that the baristas give off.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It can be hard to find a coffee shop that has such cool vibes that also has really kind folks working behind the bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm yet to find the perfect drink here, but I'll for sure be back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a great place to work or take a meeting, and I love that it's a little bit off the beaten path.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I had the expresso, biscuit sandwich, and pistachio croissant. The sandwich was delicious. The biscuit was soft and flaky. The taste of the pistachio croissant was absolutely delicious but it seemed like it was a day old. It was hard and not fresh at all. I came there around 9AM. The coffee was mid. The taste was a bit watered down, but tolerable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was chill with a nice view from all windows and the service was pleasant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They had my coffee and food ready in less than 10 minutes. I probably would not return just due to the taste of the coffee and lack of quality in the croissant. The 3 stars are based on those 2 items. I've heard many great things about this place and was bummed I didn't get what I expected. But other than those two things everything else was great.

    Espresso shot
    Dat T.

Came in to buy some new beans, and was pleasantly surprised to find out that they also give a free drip coffee or espresso shot with any purchase of a bag of beans. $18 for 340g of coffee beans, which seems fairly priced among all other coffee roasters. Espresso shot was bright and flavorful, well balanced without too much acidity or bitterness, with pleasant mouthfeel - seems like they have their espresso dialed in! Service was fast even with all the customers. There's also enough seating, with an upstairs area as well, so you can come by to finish some studying/work if you need to. They had some table options and bar style seating. I was able to try the coffee beans when I came home. Loved the bag packaging - well designed and aesthetic. There's a pull tab that you use to open their bag, and then it zipper seals. The attention to quality and usability is much appreciated. Coffee itself appears well roasted, and the flavors came through nicely when making a cappuccino at home. Would definitely recommend!

Brown sugar cinnamon Latte and Drip coffee

This might be the best coffee shop I've had in KC. And I've tried a lot. Coffee is not only fantastic, but the biscuit breakfast sandwich and the breakfast burrito were delicious. Got to get them with the chipotle mayo and salsa! I've had a lot breakfast burritos and it's at the top. Service was also very good. Very friendly people. Highly recommend!

Stumbled upon this coffee shop after a morning church event. My cousin and I had a great experience! I ordered the smallest latte size with their house-made brown sugar cinnamon syrup - delish! Love love love that it was in an actual glass - not a to-go cup. Little odd that my cousin ordered a larger, hot latte but it was served in a to-go, paper cup. ‍ Service was friendly, didn't feel rushed, coffee was pretty and delish! Not a ton of seating, but we didn't have a problem getting a spot around 1 pm. Would visit again!

    Rooftop seating, great downtown view

I'm certain this is a well loved spot, based on a steady flow of Saturday AM traffic. So nice to have another local coffee spot to try! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Splitlog is close to Downtown, easy to get in/out of, has a drive thru and a lot of beautiful, comfy rooftop seating with a great Western view of Downtown KC (pictured).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have baked goods, pastry and some quick breakfast items, and best of all, they make their syrups in house. I had the breakfast bowl (ugly and oddly executed, but still tasty!) and the brown sugar cinnamon latte (also pictured). I wouldn't quite give a 5 rating, the food order/pickup needs more organization and the baristas seemed a little confused about their menu, maybe just new to their gig. But when we ended up with a long wait for our food, the kitchen staff came out twice with updates and offered free protein bites for the wait. I'll come back again, it's a great local spot - hopefully just a smoother trip next time.

I have been to over 100 coffee shops in our area so far and I will say, that I absolutely loved this coffee shop, and I would rate it in the top three of my favorites! Today I tried a hot London fog with oat milk and it was perfect. I also had a gluten-free blueberry muffin, which was also good. My husband joined me a little while later and he had two of their chorizo burritos which were large and very tasty as well as the salsa that goes along with them. He had a black tea with raspberry syrup and he said that was very good as well. The service was excellent, and they were very nice and friendly to every person that came in and it was quite obvious that there were many regulars. Even though this was my first time I felt like I had been a regular. The ambience is one of the best things about it because it is peaceful, friendly, relaxing, and combined with the excellent service it makes you want to linger and come back immediately. It is located in the small town of Turner, and it has that small town, friendly vibe. My father was a long time resident of Turner so I'm familiar with the area. It has a lovely patio in the back that is peaceful and filled with bird song. They have the burritos available for Saturday and Sunday, from what the sign says. They also had some other lunch specials. They have some reading materials and also some free reading materials for children. I will definitely be back. They are shining the Light in the community and beyond.
