    BRIOCHE FRENCH TOAST
    Vi G.

First off...you get seated AND immediately get complimentary cinnamon rolls?! Excuse me, what?! They were hands down, DELISH! Ordered the Brioche French Toast. Good heavens, was it just yum! One thing that threw me off a bit - when pulling up, all I saw was a " cafe " sign, so I drove past the restaurant. However, tons of street parking and lot across the street. It is a 2 lane street, with working trucks offloading/loading, so be careful. Recommend you purchase their cinnamon rolls to take home. You won't regret it.

I was in Lee's Summit for the day and decided to stop in for brunch. It was pretty good. The food wasn't spectacular, but it was yummy. The service was great. And the ambiance was pretty cool. I got a breakfast combo that I can't remember the name of. AND..they bring out a cinnamon roll when you have been seated. For free. It was great for free! The price was pretty good for the amount of food you get. I'd return if I'm in the area again someday.

We ended up here for breakfast before heading out of town. Classic diner vibes, the staff were great, super attentive, and friendly. We started with the cinnamon rolls - yum! Then we got a denver omelette as well as classic eggs, bacon, and biscuits and gravy on the side. Very satisfying!

Quaint local breakfast restaurant. Not particularly head-turning, but it's an option. There were complementary cinnamon rolls as if it were bread and butter at dinner. They tasted inoffensive at worst. I had the country breakfast burrito. I wasn't a fan of it. My girlfriend and I agreed on the sentiment that "It's just slightly better than a frozen breakfast burrito, and I can make better burritos at home". The service was okay, mainly regarding the small water cups since they may have ran out of larger cups. It was often that I was without water trying to eat my burrito and couldn't wash it down. The servers seemed all cluttered by the ramp between the two rooms, and not fully aware of their surroundings. The front room was much less decorated than the back room, it felt like we were walking into a for-sale house with booths and chairs in it. But where we actually sat, in the back room, the newspapers and pictures on the wall were cool and comfortable decor.

Been a minute since we got breakfast but this place never disappoints. Down right greasy spoon but hey a sat or Sunday we will do it occasionally. Got the quarter order of biscuits and gravy and a breakfast burrito. Always clean always good

As a new resident as a new resident in Lee's Summit, I was happy to find this place early on. We've been to Neighborhood Café several times now, and it's a very solid breakfast spot. This is where we take people this is where we take people who are visiting. I love the complementary, cinnamon rolls! The chicken fried steak is hand breaded. The atmosphere is very quaint, and you may find yourself and you may find yourself seated with strangers who become friends. This place is a local gem which we will continue to support.

I went to the Neighborhood Cafe in Lee's Summit, it was a very nice mom and mom diner with lunch and breakfast with daily specials. You can easily spend under $30 for 3 people, it's pretty affordable and the food is very good. The servers were all friendly as well - it's pretty small inside but a great restaurant for lunch and breakfast, I'd recommend the breakfast platter with bacon.

Neighborhood Cafe is one of my favorite spots to visit on Sunday for brunch (although they are open daily). This spot serves homemade complimentary cinnamon rolls as an appetizer!! My go-to dish is the Country Breakfast served with eggs, bacon, hash browns, sausage, & biscuits and gravy. Other top favorites include the Everything Skillet, Chorizo Burrito, and the Breakfast Tacos. Did I mention you can eat all you can eat fried chicken on Sundays for less than $15?? There are burgers, salads, sandwiches, desserts & more. Stop by Neighborhood Cafe today!

Quiet open arrival, but as it quickly gained patrons, it was difficult with hearing aids to carry on a conversation. Old building, high ceilings - - LOTS of conversations. Eric - - our server, was very kind, patient and helped explain several of the questions we had regarding the menu. We APPRECIATED his attention to our large water carafe, filling it frequently. THANKS ERIC (with a C!!) Our food was nicely plated, temperature perfect and portions were VERY generous. The Classic Breakfast was my choice. Eggs cooked as directed, breakfast potatoes, one smallish, breakfast sausage in natural casing. A steak knife would have been helpful. I don't know the brand of bacon they serve, but it was FABULOUS! Thick sliced, prepared beautifully and mmmm, mmmm GOOD! The plate includes a Cheddar Biscuit. It is BIG and delicious LOOKING! I had to bring it, half of my potatoes and the sausage "to go". My husband ordered the Sausage, Egg & Cheese Biscuit. He was not a fan of the less than tasty sausage. #DIL ordered a Chicken Biscuit - - she shared a bite of the chicken. Let's just say, I KNOW what I will be ordering NEXT time we go. Our grandson ordered his favorite Biscuits & Gravy. HUGE portions, suitable for a growing young man. We will be back! P.S. The Gilded Pear cocktail was delicious. The Key Lime Pie was exquisite. Lovely plating and scrumptious. I shared it with my husband PLUS we brought half of it home.

It's a pretty downtown location. The decor is cozy and nicely decked out for Christmas. - chairs. They spent a little extra on padded leather to save our butts. - service. They're quick and polite. - cleanliness. Now for the less good: - layout. Everything feels tight. It's prettier than it is practical. - drink quality. My daughter found her spiced chai (pictured) overly sweet. And if you look at the pic, you'll notice that they gave her basically 2/3 of a cup. That pic was taken before she took a single sip (yes, I know the straw I used to show the amount looks used; I did use it to search for a tea bag in my tea fog. See below!). My cinnamon/butterscotch tea fog was, to put it politely, unimpressive. I left it steeping at least 15 minutes because it was way too hot to drink. And then I had to get a straw to search for tea bags, because it tasted like hot foamy water and I was convinced they'd forgotten to put the tea bags in. Well, they hadn't. There was one tea bag. My standard of comparison is Gusto over by Longview, which makes the best tea fogs in town. They use two tea bags and it tastes like heaven. Whatever they served me at Whistle Stop tasted like perfumed water. So overall, I give it a 3/5. Points for location and decor and nice chairs. But the main attraction should be the drinks, and they were both kinda terrible. And there's just no excuse for serving someone 2/3 of a cup when we're paying $6 for a small drink.
