I will share that the name of the restaurant should have an asterisk in it- The Big Biscuit* I stopped in for bite and ordered scrambled eggs, bacon and a biscuit... you know, like in the name, BISCUIT. My meal came out- eggs fluffy, bacon- crispy, and biscuit- just out of the frozen box into the oven to be warmed. It had that metallic, preservative taste that scream "made in a factory". Got seated at a table with McKayla as our waitress. I notice right way, how good of a waitress McKayla was. She was friendly and helpful in menu suggestions and was attentive while we were there. I ordered the tenderloin with a side garden salad. The tenderloin was just okay. The salad was so drenched in dressing, I couldn't eat it--should've ordered the dressing on the side. My biggest complaint is the lettuce --they used lettuce that's intended as a garnish for the salad and on the sandwich. Why not use regular iceberg lettuce or spring mix salad? I am sorry I have to write this type of correspondence but I feel your Lees Summit locating needs some serious service attention not only with the staff but definitely with the MOD!! I didn't get his name but he is tall and thin with a thinning wiry red beard and dressed kind of sloppy. We arrived on the beautiful Saturday with high hopes of grabbing some food and returning to our daily activities. Unfortunately there was a wait we then approached the bar and there was only 1 chair left we stood at the bar a few minutes before hailing a nice young lady and asked if it was open seating she said yes and next asked if it was OK if we shared the 1 chair and ordered . She went and Checked and came back very pleasantly and said yes, and explained our server would be with us in a minute. So we asked her for some water and coffee, she politely said yes, and brought back the coffee. When the server showed up she went from one end of the bar to the other taking orders, we were at the end of the bar and the order line. We ordered, some water and a pumpkin cold brew. I tried to give her our food order and she held her hand up and said just drinks for now. I thought that was a bit rude and short but decided to let it go she seemed in a rush. A few minutes passed and she came out with drinks and set them down at the opposite end of the bar and continued to take everyone order in the same fashion form one end to the other. She still did not deliver our drinks. Even after giving our order I stopped Layla again and asked her if she would mind grabbing our drinks that had been just sitting there. By this time it was clear she needed help. Other servers were standing around behind the bar watching and keeping to themselves (nice Team work!!). It was clear the service would be mediocre at best during this visit. When Christi approached us we told her our order Kansas city Omelet to share with White toast and potatoes. I asked her if she was busy and she exclaimed with a hasty attitude she had 5 other tables and was double sat, I asked and you have the whole bar as well she said, "yes" very short and seemed frustrated. She never asked if we had been there before or gave any suggestions or anything at all. She was in classic order taker style. We waited for a bit it looked as if it might be slowing down and decided to approach the host and ask if there was any open tables they said no 15 minute wait. I went back to report the news to my party, she said did you ask about outside? I approached the host for a 2nd time and they said sure we can seat you. I asked, "did I need to tell the server at the bar" and he said yes. I sent my party to go ahead and be seated. As I waited for Christi to appear again there was sweet Layla and I asked her to tell Christi that we moved to the patio, she asked what table we walked to the window and I showed her. When I came back our food was arriving at the bar and Christi was replying to the food runner that they moved to the patio or something in a very hostile and disgruntled tone. She was surprised to see that I was standing right there and heard her complaint. As we were at the patio table Layla had some guests across from us, I stopped her and asked to have our tab transferred to her since she was our main contact at this point and we would need to pay someone and that she should deserve the tip. She was pleasant and smiled and said let me go check. This is where the entire experience went horrible. The MOD in that moment came to the table and dropped the check and said that next time we come to the bar we shouldn't share a chair. I was shocked not only that he was being aggressive but did no research into our experience before coming at me with accusations and disrespect. I explained that we did ask Layla for permission before we sat down. I then explained the mediocre service from Christi, Repeating to him her complaints about being double sat with 5 tables, Which is why we wanted the check transferred to Layla, the only pleasant person we had encountered so far. He left and came back to say that, Layla didn't think she did anything to deserve the tip. He then said that next time we want to change table we needed to check in at the host desk. Now I was a getting angry, as I explained to him that we did check with host on 2 accession's. He then decided to involve other guest at the bar, and they told him that I had given Christi the highest level of disrespect to a sever that they have ever encountered. Now I was heated, level of disrespect I proclaimed? I spoke with her only 2 separate times drink order, food order, and asked if she was busy. There was definitely some untruths to the situation and with the previous accusations of the 1 chair, and asking the host to move, he was clearly just making things up as he went along. it was undeniably evident that the manger has questionable integrity at best. read more

Got into the waitlist before arriving. Inside wait was less than 5 minutes. Waitress Madeline (Mad) was delightful. Food arrived quickly. I always try Chicken and Waffles; it was ok. We've been twice now. Not sure if we'll go back. Our food was not hot either time. It was kind of lukewarm at best. It's always an adventure to get seated, but the Yelp check in helps a lot!! The servers are great! They are fairly attentive. The food. It has to be hot! It's just not. Repeatedly. Can't do it. The sticky biscuit was better in Tiffany Greens because it was hot. I can't leave a zero?!?!? Ok where to begin.. with the $4.00 colored water they call coffee? Take a pass on that unless maybe you want to pay $4.00 for color in hot water. I didn't know they made knives sharp enough to get that razor thin. I told the waitress that the biscuits and gravy were awful and then she just was terse the rest of the time we were there. My husband's a nice guy so she got a decent tip. Wouldn't have been the case if I had been paying. We paid $40 for my husband to go away hungry. And overall just standard food at best. But the biscuits and gravy, I would not call those standard they were horrible. If you are going to give us cornstarch water gravy at least salt it! I've been a couple of times and always receive great service. The last time I I went was three days before Christmas. They were very busy.
