Unfortunately, the ice cream wasn't for me. It was overloaded with toppings to the point that I could barely taste the ice cream itself. I love a good balance between the ice cream and the mix-ins, and this just felt like there was way too much going on. The toppings completely overpowered the flavor of the ice cream. We decided to give Johnny Ray's another shot and came back to try the food. Sadly, I wasn't impressed. For the price, I honestly felt like I could have made a better meal at home. Nothing stood out, and it just wasn't worth the money in my opinion. I really wanted to like this place because it's such a fun, inviting spot, but after giving it two separate chances, we've decided we won't be returning for either the food or the desserts. I hate leaving negative reviews, but I also believe in giving an honest account of my experience.

This immediately grossed me out because although I do eat meat, my husband doesn't and I couldn't help but to think what if he had gotten this plate and eaten that piece of meet and broke his long years of being vegetarian. Taking our order then took forever. One of the men seated at the booth behind us had to take his cup up and ask for more coffee. We almost had to do the same with water. My photos show a 90% empty cafe but after she cleared tables, she rolled the cart right next to our booth and throughout cleaned plates off in it while we were eating. There were a million other places she could've parked that mobile cart and how she couldn't see people wouldn't want to hear her clean plates or clanging dishes... They would've been screwed if that place had been busy. I'd never return.
