I hope they have been able to retire and enjoy life. Regardless, the current waitresses are great too and will take good care of you. It's a small basic building but the food makes it well worth the drive. We always get full on our meals but make sure to get a couple of their deserts to go. It was awesome that they had a breakfast special, two eggs, bacon and two biscuits & gravy. It was so good and the bacon was crispy and very good. We also ordered the lunch special-double cheeseburger & fries. Got pickles and diced onions on the burger. We've been on a tour of top 10 burger places in KS-this burger would be our #1 or #2 if it were KS. It was outstanding. The ends of the bread was not burnt or crispy, the sausage was on point, and the French toast was nice and fluffy.
