Food is always great. Only one server today who was busy. That's not normal but made for a little longer time spent here than planned.

10/10 food 10/10 service…read more 10/10 environment Was very clean and server was very nice. Wait time was low

It's alive with the quite wave of conversations washing over the restaurant this Saturday evening…read more Despite the busy atmosphere, the receptionist finds us a table quickly and adjusts to our changing plans with kids seating. Our waitress, August, has a bright smile and outgoing personality. She is a genuinely nice person. A perfect contrast to our my family's day, which has been filled with miserable deep cleaning for spring. She commiserates with our care worn state and later on with desert leaves us a sweet message of encouragement. Our waitress suggests we try an Ultra drink... and my wife does, finding it refreshing. I mention I'm a heavy drinker... of water and she comes back with a second glass so I won't be waiting on her with the busy atmosphere. We never feel neglected despite her having a big table with more than ten people. The Ribeye steaks we order are cooked to perfection and have a good peppery flavor, and the sides are a great compliment. The corn reminds us of Mexican street corn. The atmosphere is perfect for conversation as it never gets too loud for us, especially if you get one of their booths. Yes... I would recommend you eat at this Long Horn.

Not trying it would be a crime! Our Outlaw Ribeye is bone-in, well-marbled, fire-grilled, juicy, and delicious.

We ordered online and picked up food to take home. We ordered Sweet & Sour shrimp, Cashew chicken,…read moreSesame chicken. For the first two we got something like lunch special/combo and the Sesame chicken we got more of the full-size entree. All portions were good. They give you a huge portion of rice, which in our case is too much rice, but at least since there's a pretty significant fee to upgrade to fried rice as we did on all dishes, at least it's big amount to I guess you'd say justify the amount of the upcharge. I truly can't imagine anyone wanting the huge amounts of rice they put in each meal -- not that it was bad, but perhaps others like rice more than we do. As someone who absolutely hates zucchini, I was disappointed they put zucchini in the Cashew chicken but was relieved that it wasn't much. Some places use zucchini as so much of a filler in their foods that it's wasteful for me as I won't eat it. Since this was our first time here, I wasn't familiar with the ingredients and honestly never thought about it being an ingredient in their dish. The Sweet & Sour shrimp was the typical pre-breaded out of a box shrimp it seemed. What was a little odd is that the shrimp were all different sizes and shapes. Some were long and straight like the ones you usually get on the appetizer platters at places like this and others were those rounder pieces that are more typical in an entree. Again, being unfamiliar with this restaurant, I was disappointed that they don't add any onions, peppers or even pineapple in with the fried pieces. I only had a few pieces of the Sesame chicken. It was okay to me, but the person who actually ordered it really did not care for it. The sauce was very overpowering and too sweet. By the time she got to finishing the leftovers she literally rinsed the pieces of chicken to remove the sauce that she could. The sides of Crab Rangoon and Egg Roll were fine, nothing unexpected, but nothing particularly special. The ordering and pickup process was fine. We don't live in Belton so a return visit is already unlikely. The fact that the food was tolerable but nothing special is also an indicator that we won't return.

Awesome service! Food was great as always. Old fashioned steakhouse atmosphere a must stop…read more Great steaks, hamburgers and large sides.

My wife and I have been wanting to check this local place out for a couple of years. Jess & Jim's…read moresounded great. We went early on a Friday night to grab some prime rib. I had reservation reservations for us at 6 PM. We were seated promptly and had a server who was very kind and pretty good considering it was his second night working here. We each ordered a cocktail, which were very good. And we each had prime rib. The meat itself was pretty stringy and hard to cut with the dull knives that we were given. Mine was undercooked. I ordered mashed potatoes with brown Gravy, which were just okay. My wife enjoyed her baked potato a great deal though. Our server brought out our food when we weren't even halfway through our salads. He apologized because he knew he was early, but by the time we got to our entrées, they were cold. A great, or even good steakhouse would never do that. The food quality was average or below, and the service was about the same. If you're looking for mediocrity, you can find it here. By the entrance, they have a list of 10 great steakhouses in the US. I have been to a few of them, including Peter Luger's, and Jess and Jim's really has no place on this list. I literally laughed out loud as we passed by the sign on the way out.
