Love this restaurant! I eat here every time I'm in town. Staff is friendly, restaurant is clean and I love the pizza!

I always drive by this place but I had a coworker strongly recommend this place. My boyfriend ordered the pork tenderloin and raved about it. He is very particular so this is a big compliment. I had the chicken strip platter or basket or whatever it was. This chicken was huge! It didn't feel like freezer food. This was quality. I was impressed with the cheerful, attentive, friendly and helpful service at this new location. Every employee I encountered was first-rate, especially my server Ryndi. The teriyaki grilled chicken bowl ($12.99) was served ten minutes after I ordered at the bar. It was very good, with a good amount of tasty grilled chicken and perfectly cooked veggies on a bed of rice with a teriyaki sauce and a spicy sauce on the side. I noticed a spacious patio with a fireplace and windows that opened to the main bar for ordering - cool! I also noticed a spacious dining area, a long bar, 16 beers on tap, two event rooms, a golden tee game, an electronic dart board, an electronic juke box and country background music (not too loud). Unfortunately, as with most new bars, there was a lack of sound deadening materials, so noise levels rose quickly. They offer a loyalty club, daily food and drink specials, a happy hour and a reverse happy hour. Overall, pretty good! read more

This is always a huge disappointment for us. We really wanted this place to be over the top because we live in walking distance, but it never delivers. The food is never great and the drinks are not great as well. I have on numerous occasions ordered a vodka soda, and I have to send the drink back every time because I can never taste the vodka. Maybe I am ordering the wrong food items or the wrong drinks! read more

Wow how is this place even open! Went there on Sunday afternoon maybe 15 people in the whole place. Order waters, milk and a beer. 20 mins no beer, had to ask bartender where our server went. Bartender brought beer. 10 mins later server finally shows to get order. Lets just say once food came it was horrible. Fries cold. Hamburger and tenderloin over cooked. Etc. Ordered the Nashville Spicy Chicken Sandwhich with the Onion Ring/Fry combo side. The sandwich looked to be just the standard fried chicken sandwich with some hot oil and spices placed on the top middle of the fried chicken breast. Led to the middle being the only flavor from that and the rest just being a plain chicken sandwich. The chicken breast did taste good but still had a good amount of grease in certain bites that made it not as good as it should be. The fries were good with the seasoning and I would ask for crispy next time. The onion rings were ok but not that great so I would just order the fries as the side. We sat on the covered patio and it was quite nice as the inside was quite cold. Service was great as we were seated and taken care of imidiatly. We have been patrons at Johnny's since it opened. We have continued to visit amongst complainants about loudness, etc. we visited this last weekend with out of town friends. One friend ordered the tomato soup. After a ridiculous wait, the "soup " arrived. It looked like pizza sauce! Beyond thick. Our server took it back at our friends request and brought a bowl of chili. OMG it was dry and very old. This is unacceptable. Going out to eat is expensive now days, we should be able to get decent quality food. This was an embarrassment for us and should be for Johnnys. We are no longer loyal customers of Johnnys. We will be patronizing restaurants with good food and servers and cooks that know the difference between good food and bad quality. Today was my first visit to Johnny's located in Raymore MO. I was not impressed with the food. The restaurant was clean and the staff was attentive and friendly. The music is too loud to have a conversation JMO. I ordered a tenderloin sandwich with chips. I was disappointed in the tenderloin. It was huge but not much meat inside. The breading was overwhelming and overcooked. No problem the server replaced the order with another choice. Chicken fingers were okay nothing special. Our table also had a large pizza that was $5.00 off on Monday. Good value. I ordered a second pizza to go. It was Italian sausage. The meat was over cooked and placed in clumps across the pizza. Our waitress Tori was absolutely awful. Rude as can be and took 15 minutes to get out menu's and ask what drinks we wanted. Tori was also very nice and respectful to other customers but very short and blunt with us. Past couple times I've been here the service also has not been the best. First time visit at the Raymore location. Large bar area including hi-tops situated in this area. There is a private room area as well that looks like it may accommodate about 50 people. And, of course, outdoor dining too. Our server took good care of our table and made some good burger special suggestions and he checked on us several times. I ordered the Fieldhouse Salad with grilled chicken which was very good with lots of chicken. The Gouda Burger was very good with Angus beef. The beers are cold and there are plenty of TV's to see just about every game going on at the same time. You'll have no problem with parking- plenty of spaces. read more

Since Johnny's has opened in raymore, it has continuously been packed. It shows that the town definitely needed or appreciated a large bar and grill staple being placed in a centralized location in the community. They usually have a good amount of staff and the service has always been quick. I have always had good efficient service with small groups and large groups. The food has always come out fresh. Unfortunately you're not going to get anything crazy or unique besides standard bar food and the quality is what you would expect but if you're coming to get drinks and get hungry along the way, it does the job. Overall it was fair and I will probably be back with friends if I am in the area. read more

This was my first time trying Johnny's tavern and most likely my last. The chicken came out burnt on my Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was very bland and the pizza was not worth the money. Having been to other johnnys locations, I was disappointed in the dive bar vibe this place had. Ew. I had a burger, which was fine but not great. Onion rings were awful- stale tasting and tough. My guest had a tenderloin that was very good. Service was fine but quite average. Sweet potato fries potion was small and they were very soft, but edges were dark so at least they weren't burned, which is very easy to do with these. read more

The managers here are BEYOND disrespectful and dissatisfying and while the servers here take forever to even get a drink in a drink order. I have waited over 10 minutes for Dr.Pepper. Johnny's is so disorganized and I have noticed that their hosts just sit and do absolutely NOTHING. When I had finally gotten my food it came out cold and when I told my server it had took another 30 minutes for my new order to come out and when it had I got a hair in my food. This is not the first time I have been treated badly up here, talking to the managers and they were stuck up and extremely disrespectful when I kindly told them about my issue. I wouldn't ever recommend this restaurant for any of my friends or family. Their service doesn't ever seem to be consistent or good as they are all rude and stuck up with their service to the customers. They act "groupish" and better than the customers! read more

Hey everyone! So let me spill the tea about the three times i have eaten at Johnny's Tavern. The food has been disappointment every single time i have tried eating here. First off, everything was overly salty, and to make matters even worse, it had arrived to my table as cold as ice!! The carry-out service was a total flop as well, and they couldn't even get the pizza made right. Can you believe it?? BUT since apparently the third time's the charm, the real kicker was when they had cooked my hamburger in an oven, and let me tell you, it made me throw up as soon as i had finished eating. But on top of that, the bartenders had stacked dirty glasses right in front of us, like a tower of a mess, and let them sit there for about ten minutes before finally actually washing them. Not a pretty sight, I tell ya. Oh, and let's not forget how I heard they treated some of their coworkers after leaving and not being comfortable there. It's just not cool nor right. Overall, based on my three different experiences , I wouldn't recommend Johnny's Tavern. Please save yourself the disappointment and money, folks! read more

We waited for semi long length of time but I wasn't impatient. I want to add on that this place is new and There weren't many places to sit while waiting. All I ate was the rice which wasn't good it had corn for some reason and the rice had a brown tint. However the service was swift I didn't f wait forever for the food. Food was really good! Started with fried brussel sprouts and cauliflower. I had the French dip and the lady had some tostada type salad that I tried and was tasty too. This was on a not particularly busy friday evening. Service was not good. Food was terrible. Wings tasted like they had been microwaved from frozen in a bowl of used dog water, and not long enough at that. They were not high quality wings to begin with but made much worse by either incompetence or deliberate malice in the kitchen. Sauce was an afterthought that seemed to mainly consist of overused cooking oil. Nashville chicken sandwich would not have been too bad were it not cooked in the same overused cooking oil using a substandard piece of chicken that covered maybe fifty percent of the bun. Street tacos across the table were inedible and sent back after 20 minutes of empty drinks before the worthless server reappeared. Couldve had a far better meal for a far better price at McDonald's, I'm just glad i didn't get sick from that nasty chicken. I almost forgot the ambiance! There was what appeared to be an overweight tranny in an outfit more suited for a swimming pool, or private, standing around at the host stand. She did not appear to be doing anything other than stand there being gross, unfortunately that was not enough to suppress my appetite. I should've left before i spent $50 on a crapass dinner!
