For $12 you get a nice portion of home made fries, coleslaw and 2 pieces of very lightly battered cod with their delicious homemade tartar sauce. Every bite was enjoyed. We were told that they were-they were not. The whole fried tilapia shown in a photo on the menu has shrimp on top of it. When it was served, there were no shrimp on it. When asked the waiter said it was an extra $5 for the shrimp. Odd in my opinion. The menu is extensive. Same with the cocktail menu. The ambience is average. It seems like a former fast food chain place converted into an independent restaurant. Prices are reasonable and food was tasty.

We sat at the bar, and the bartender was amazing, full of helpful info about the menu. He told us how the seafood comes in fresh. He recommended oysters to us, and since it was our first time, he threw in a couple of his favorites at no charge. It was also happy hour, and we took advantage of the specials, ordering the cheddar biscuits drizzled with honey and the colossal cocktail shrimp. They really were huge and delicious. We also enjoyed half-price oysters. My husband loved the crushed cocktails We split the mahi-mahi, and we loved how he told us about the fresh fish that had never been frozen and whether it was wild or farm-raised. The mahi was incredible. You could tell it was fresh. We enjoyed the potatoes and the BéreBlanc sauce. This is going to be a place that we will end up becoming regulars at. So happy to have tried it!

We love to slow down, enjoy the atmosphere and each other's company. We love that it doesn't echo, voices aren't carrying, and we can hold a conversation with each other while great music plays in the background. It's a small business, black owned, family owned (BossLady!!), and family working on site. I find being flexible and enjoying the amazzzzzing shrimp is worth it. Next time, they'll have what you think you need, or you'll find a new favorite. Restaurant Week is tough on small business participants, especially with the RW parameters and requirements, but we remained flexible and found a new favorite. It looked like many new customers were really excited to be there, and it's about the busiest I've seen it when we have been in. We dined during Restaurant Week, and ordered the Burnt Ends and Garlic Butter Shrimp. The Burnt Ends were SOOOO tender, and the flavor of the meat really shined, especially for a restaurant that specializes in seafood. Mac and Cheese is always good! But the garlic butter shrimp......I could eat that all day. The cheesesticks were delicious and the lemon cake dessert! We've also had the BOSS item on the menu, perfect fried shrimp, perfect air fried real potato fries, lemon pepper shrimp, corn on the cob, and we love them all, no complaints! Have patience, give Grace. The young people are very nice, quiet and kind. We've met at least 3 of the family who work in the front. They are really sweet and trying to do their best for you. I'm so glad to see them there!! These are the kind of businesses that I like to support and I think others should, too. Are you getting the best seafood in the city, the metro, and for hundreds of miles any direction? YES, you are. Are some young people working their family's hard fought business instead of doing what most people assume young people are doing?? YES. Owners that LOVE what they do....making people happy with their food, while doing what they love? YES! Those are the things that matter, and this restaurant deserves to be famous for the seafood, based on taste alone. And the young people will grow up, and they'll be better for having worked in the family business. Let's SUPPORT ownership, family employees and think beyond our tiny box.
