Disappointing Experience - Health and Safety Concerns I recently ordered from Chinese Wok through DoorDash, and I must say that the experience was nothing short of a nightmare. Unfortunately, I have to share this experience to raise awareness about the health and safety concerns I encountered. Upon receiving my order, I was shocked to discover roaches in the food. Not only was this disgusting, but it also had serious consequences for my family. My daughter fell ill after consuming the contaminated food, and this was incredibly distressing for us. What made this situation even worse was the restaurant's response. When I contacted them to address the issue, they refused to take responsibility and shifted the blame to DoorDash. This lack of accountability was both disappointing and unprofessional. Moreover, when I raised concerns about the health and safety standards at their establishment, the owner responded with rudeness and hostility. It is essential for any restaurant to maintain a clean and safe environment for its customers, and it is unacceptable to treat customers this way when genuine concerns are raised. I strongly advise potential customers to think twice before ordering from Chinese Wok. This experience was not only a financial loss but also a risk to our health and safety. I hope that my review will help others make more informed choices and prompt this establishment to address its hygiene and customer service issues. Unfortunately Doordash also refuses to give me a refund and taking legal action was the last thing I wanted to do they asked for proof of my daughter being sick and I knew then I had to do something more. Please be safe when considering eating at this establishment luckily for me I have proof a bit frustrating I will have to have an exterminator at my home to prove I do not have roaches it could have easily been solved refunding me and of course I would have reported regardless its a health hazard. read more

A must try Chinese restaurant! We were wanting some Asian food and had went by sams over in belton. This place did not disappoint. Food was fast the entrees were huge the crab Rangoon was warm and super creamy. We will definitely go back for some take out. read more

My go-to Chinese spot. The staff is so genuine and customer service oriented. Buffet: they bring everything out in small batches consistently - that means everything is ALWAYS fresh instead of huge batches that sit between shifts and get soggy/stale/lukewarm. Even in rushes they seem to make up their empty pans quickly. I've maybe waited one time for an item I really wanted. There's plenty of variety (even vegetarian options like green beans, rice, spring rolls, and various carb items - and of course it's also a meat lovers paradise with kabobs, the traditional tso/sesame/sweet n sour chicken, broccoli beef, etc) My all time favorite is the coconut cream fried shrimp - I've never had it better anywhere else! Delivery: admittedly, we order delivery from here more often than is socially acceptable. It always comes so quickly and piping hot. The delivery fee is reasonable as well. Overall, I suggest this restaurant to anyone who isn't too bougie to try a "hole in the wall" buffet with good food and great staff. I just moved here from Lincoln Nebraska which does not have the best Chinese food selection in the world. However, I had found a diamond in the rough. Some of the best Chinese food I have ever eaten in my life. After moving here four weeks ago I finally decided to order from this restaurant. I have now found a new lo mein and General Tso's chicken place. The food is amazing, the vegetables were delicious, and the fried chicken wings are to die for. Ordered cashew chicken and sweet n sour pork, egg rolls and crab Rangoon. Only edible item was crab Rangoon. The meat on the cashew chicken had a weird heavy coating and texture with thick brown gravy. The sweet n sour pork had the same weird very heavy fried coating with no sauce. The egg rolls did not appear to be home made. It felt like the meats were a frozen packaged item. Just say no. read more

Everything was OK but nothing was outstanding. The sweet and sour soup needed more flavor. The meats section was mostly sweet sauces (I did like the one called "house chicken" which was more traditional and less americanized than the others.) For the price ($7.45) you can expect a decent variety and small batches of food so it stays fresher. I'd rather support a local business than a chain if that is your leaning too there should be something on the to go menu that will satisfy. read more

The food here is pretty average in terms of Chinese buffet food. I'd say it's exactly what you'd expect and doesn't go beyond that. However, that's sometimes exactly why you want. Cheap reliable Chinese food that isn't bad. What helps is that the staff is extremely friendly and you see the food rotated extremely often. As soon as the food was low I didn't even have to say anything and a fresh order was on its way. Its a great sit down and eat with your friends or family on a Saturday afternoon shop. read more

My husband is a Chinese food fanatic. I am not. I am however an AMAZING wife who is willing to try out each and every hole in the wall Chinese Buffett with him. So here it goes. The atmosphere was pretty awful, but I think most buffets are. The paint was really bad, like a three year old did it. But, I wasn't eating the paint so I could overlook it. The temp in the restaurant was pretty steamy due to the small space and three buffet tables. There was one booth that was a makeshift office and was full of books and papers which seemed strange to me. The food was just ok. I am thinking that the food would have been much better if it hadn't been 6:45pm on Easter. They didn't offer to make new food for us (some was seriously glued to the pan) and we had to just eat what was clearly the newest on the buffet. The spring rolls were fresh (I saw them bring them out) and the rice was fresh. There was a decent variety on the buffet and I think that had it not been Easter the food would have been good. I like that they had Butter Chicken, that is one of my favorite items when at a place like this. I think that if you want fast food or delivery, this place would be very adequate for that. This is my literal ALL TIME FAVORITE Chinese restaurant. Don't judge a book by its cover - this place has amazing food! Every time I have ordered here - it has been fresh and consistent. A couple of times I received 4 Rangoons instead of 6 (an order) but I wasn't even mad about it because the food was fresh, hot and delicious. The ladies working the counter are friendly and sweet. Last week I was in the mood for something different and decided to try Chinese Wok. I went online to see if I could find a menu (because you know chinese 'fast food' menus are all sooo different). Anyways I went ahead and picked out the crab rangoon, beef cho cho and seasame chicken. Called in the order and went to pick it up about 10 minutes after ordering. The food was hot, huge portion and in a great container. They also gave a large portion of rice. The seasame chicken was sweet with a little but of tang and the chicken was extremely tender, crab rangoon was delicious with that little crunch and the beef cho cho was decent but a little on the tough side but still edible. All in all in was a great experience and I plan to order from them some more. read more

Regular local msg loaded Chinese buffet. Went here one monday afternoon around 3pm, they had minimal on their buffet, what was there appeared to have been for a while. Which at 3 in the afternoon with the lunch rush over, what more could you expect? What was lousy was the fact they put out 2-3 fresh items during my meal despite the fact that there was 3 new tables of customers that had come in for a mate lunch as well. The crabmeat ragoons were good, had they been hot I'm sure they would have been much better...but that goes for saying of most of every thing I put in my mouth. I left full and the buffet was pretty cheap so what more can you ask from the regular run of the mill Chinese buffet. Don't have high expectations and you won't be disappointed.
