Jacomos is the perfect place to stop in for some good food on the way to the lake. We usually split a double jacomo burger and tots- it's plenty for two people. The food is great, family friendly (and cute) atmosphere. Service is always pretty quick

Jacomo's is an absolute must-stop! We decided to try it after passing by, and it did not disappoint. We ordered the double smash burger and the pork tenderloin--both were incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. The prices are reasonable, with very friendly service. They even have a cute little gift shop section to browse through, which was such a fun touch. We will definitely be back!

I really like this place. The food is great, the price is right, and the seating area upstairs is nice. Service is at the counter and you pick up your food at the kitchen window. I stop here every time I'm in the area.

All of their food has been excellent. The Butterfinger pie seemed to change. Not quite as good, didn't help that it went up to $10 a slice. Other than that, the rest of the food is really good. A little pricey, but worth it.

Stopped by and enjoyed lunch here for valentines day! Phenomenal atmosphere as soon as you walk in the door! The guest service gave a homey feel , and to top it off our food came out exceptionally fast! A bit on the pricy side but the portions equal out.

Great little family owned place to grab great grub. The staff was super friendly and patient answering our many first-timer questions and accommodated our large party of 8 without a problem. You order as you enter by checking out a huge menu posted on the wall. I took on the Legacy Hot Chicken Sandwich dipped in their house made hot honey Sriracha sauce. My choice side was a warm pile of crunchy crinkle fries. Delicious. There is a noted Happy Hour special with beer available. Loved that they had a second level seating area (that would be great for a special occasion party). We noted the many decorative lake signs and decor, which the staff stated they make themselves and some are for sale. Super neat. Would totally swing by again to sample another one of the many tasty menu options.

Unfortunately, a few moments brought down the experience for us. :( Sticky floors, refusing to offer tap water to refill a water bottle, no paper towels in the women's bathroom, a bit of a funky smell in the dining room, and the burger patties being on the dry side. Little things that, if noticed and addressed, could relift UNK's to an EASY 5 star favorite!! *NOTE - their online menu vs in-house menu are pretty incongruent from one another.

We decided to have a quick early dinner here in town, and did a Yelp search for "great places to eat near me". This place was high in the list. We read the reviews and found ourselves driving around a building that had ZERO markings for the Burn Theory Fire Kitchen on it, but our Maps app said we were here. Turned out, the food for Burn Theory Fire Kitchen was cooked in a food truck in a parking lot and served inside the Diametric Brewing Company which is located at the address listed for Burn Theory Fire Kitchen. I will say, my husband ordered a special beer called "Cherry Street Wheat" and it was very unusual, and seriously tasty!!! I'm not a beer fan, but would drink one of these any day! So, getting back to the food... we'd both ordered a trio of street tacos that we did a mix and match of with their various proteins. We ordered this way to share with each other. We also love to discover new and unusual bites. After reading the reviews and their menu, we were excited for the promise of something uniquely delicious... and were completely disappointed!!! All but one (excluding the shrimp) of the six different tacos we'd ordered, bordered on the inedible side. The proteins were seemingly overcooked, folded into little leathery tortilla shells, and served to our table cold, dry and tough. They tasted as if they had been reheated from the weekends leftovers. Maybe we came on the wrong day. Perhaps if we'd visited on a weekend, or on the same day they were actually cooking the meats initially, we'd had a better experience. I don't know, and frankly do not plan to find out. Additionally, to be fair, their condiments (ie: the Ketchup and BBQ sauce) seemed to be made fresh and made from scratch. They were sadly the best part of our meal. Honorable mention to the Diametric Brewing Company which served us one of the most delicious and unique beers we've ever tasted!

They bring it straight to you when it's done. The guy who brought ours was super nice. He asked if we needed any utensils or sauce. I was just having a beer and then was taking my grub to go so he brought me a bag to carry everything easily. I ordered the Burn Theory Cubano: House smoked ham and pulled pork, melted Swiss cheese, pickles and house made mustard on toasted brioche. This sandwich was huge! It's very shareable if you're ordering sides. The meat was super smoky and I loved the flavor. It's definitely a top 5 Cuban in KC. We ordered several sides: seasoned fries, smoked Mac and cheese, and a Caesar salad. The Caesar salad was good sized and easily shareable as a starter. I liked the house made dressing. If you wanted to have this as an entree, you have the option to add brisket, chicken, or shrimp. I will definitely consider it in the future. The seasoned fries were pretty standard. My boyfriend liked the seasoning and that they didn't put too much on them. My 3 doggos also enjoyed a few. The smoked Mac and cheese was probably my favorite side and I'll have a hard time getting a different one in the future. The Smokey flavor was perfect and not overwhelming. The pasta wasn't overcooked and the sauce was creamy. I end up at Strange Days pretty often and I feel like this is a perfect addition to the area. I'll definitely be ordering from them in the future while I enjoy a beer.

He ordered a BBQ burger with extra crispy bacon, but it came with no sauce and no bacon at all. My burger was very dry, and the fries were overcooked. As transplants from another state, and BBQ not being our first language, we wanted to try new things! They came to the table and we were all sort of perplexed. Were they supposed to look like...that? Either way, we dug in. They were cold in the middle, also a strange discovery to us. I ordered the burnt ends, which came to the table closer to cold than warm. The blue cheese potato salad was tasty and all it needed was a lil salt and pepper to make it perfect. All was going well, until my husband was about 4-5 bites into his brisket wrap. He asked me to smell it, and I did. It was funky! Smelled a lot like a foot and not a lot like a tortilla. He asked the server to smell it and they agreed it was a bit odd. The manager came over and denied it smelling like anything. My husband had finished his meal, and we weren't looking for a freebie but wanted to let them know it was a lil weird. Instead of acknowledging the potential issue, we were dismissed as "wrong." It just didn't sit right with me. My husband had some definite issues in the hour or two after eating, so we won't be back. I won't say it was food poisoning because genuinely it could have just not agreed with my husband. I'll put my disclaimer on here, I hope people do enjoy and continue to patronize this small business, it's just not to my liking.
