1/31/26 It's an open, roomy dining room. Nicely lit at 11:00 on a Sunday morning for brunch. Quiet open arrival, but as it quickly gained patrons, it was difficult with hearing aids to carry on a conversation. Old building, high ceilings - - LOTS of conversations. It's busy with 30 to 50 year olds. It was an absolute JOY to witness their gatherings, hugs and smiles. Eric - - our server, was very kind, patient and helped explain several of the questions we had regarding the menu. We APPRECIATED his attention to our large water carafe, filling it frequently. THANKS ERIC (with a C!!) Our food was nicely plated, temperature perfect and portions were VERY generous. The Classic Breakfast was my choice. Eggs cooked as directed, breakfast potatoes, one smallish, breakfast sausage in natural casing. A steak knife would have been helpful. I don't know the brand of bacon they serve, but it was FABULOUS! Thick sliced, prepared beautifully and mmmm, mmmm GOOD! The plate includes a Cheddar Biscuit. It is BIG and delicious LOOKING! I had to bring it, half of my potatoes and the sausage "to go". My husband ordered the Sausage, Egg & Cheese Biscuit. He was not a fan of the less than tasty sausage. #DIL ordered a Chicken Biscuit - - she shared a bite of the chicken. Let's just say, I KNOW what I will be ordering NEXT time we go. Our grandson ordered his favorite Biscuits & Gravy. HUGE portions, suitable for a growing young man. We will be back! P.S. I liked the Korean steak noodle salad- I think if more of the noodles were noodley (not fried) and the pears were cut one more time. Staff was terrific. I'd love to see them eliminate plastic straws- they just bring them out with the waters without asking. read more

The Ambiance of this restaurant is Beautiful. It's a super clean place with very nice staff. I sat at the bar so that I could get caught up on sports. I was greeted by the bartender, who instantly presented me with a drink and food menu. I ordered the Suffed Salmon, and while I was waiting for my food I got a Moscow Mule. Both food and drink were very good. I only wish my food portion were larger. I would definitely return to this restaurant, whenever I'm in town. read more

I give the food a balancing act. Didn't want the normal chicken and waffles so I tried to create my own by ordering banana fosters French toast which was amazing but the fried chicken was tooth breakable. Hardy crunch as if it were cooked to slow and then sped up. By far not juicy and unpleasant to eat. The service was great although I think the server needed to understand how mimosas worked and that you can't pour juice from a spout-less cocktail glass into the wine glasses. Flavor of the champagne seemed cheap but this was a pretty good looking place to eat in. Gratuity for the locals to do their normal thing for a holiday was crazy but oh well. High and low top tables inside, seating outside on the patio is delightful in pleasant weather. Service staff are so friendly, helpful and welcoming to guests. Happy Hour has all kinds of delicious food to choose from and great discounted prices. They are served in large sharing portions. Beautifully decorated on the inside and outside. Parking is a little difficult at busy times of the day that are common eating times. Plenty of choices for beverage choices both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. read more

Stopped by Third Street Social and tried their steak frites special with chimichurri. The flavors were solid -- the chimichurri added a nice, fresh, herby kick and paired well with the dish. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned. That said, the steak itself was a bit chewy, which took away from what could have been a standout entrée. Overall, it was a decent experience with good flavor combinations, but I was hoping for a more tender cut of steak. Would still come back to try other menu items. read more

Overall it was good and I would go again. Food was really good. The prime rib sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. The mashed potatoes were also really yummy. My broccoli was over cooked. I ordered the fries and Korean Steak Tacos from the Happy Hour. The fries were crispy, had good flavor, and garlic aioli sauce paired perfectly with them. This was definitely the star of the show for me. The Korean Steak Taco was good. The steak was slightly juicy and it had good flavor. I also ordered a drink from the happy hour menu and it was also good. Overall, I would say this was a good experience and the service was good as well. Had a very negative experience years ago with raw wings the first time I went. Decided to try it again for the tacos and tequila Tuesday special. The special is definitely worth coming back for. I had the Korean steak tacos which were good, but I was wishing there was less slaw. It didn't seem to add anything but sogginess to the taco. Service was slow on our drinks but everything else was quite fast. We were a little confused by the "bar/lounge only" special, because lounge does not mean restaurant side. I'm thankful to have checked with our waiter to be reseated so the special would apply. It looks just like the sister concept, summit grill before they figured out how to turn on the light switch. I get low-light ambiance for restaurants, but bar side I would like to read the menu from other than 5 inches away. I didn't fully check out the lounge area, but the whole bar area was packed. All the nearby tables stayed longer than us, our table was flipped before the people who were there before we sat down. read more

Still a great choice if you're in the neighborhood. Part of this place is sports bar, the other is a normal restaurant setting without all the TVs. Food and service are exceptional, for lunch we had the Mac and cheese (really delicious) and the animal style (think In-N-Out Butger--grilled onions) burger and it was one of the best burgers I've ever had!!! (Still thinking about it days later). We tend to come here on off hours because it can get really crowded--absolutely worth the wait if there is one. Highly recommended! read more

Third Street social is a locally owned business and I give it a bonus bump for that reason alone. I really enjoy supporting and engaging with locally run businesses. I also find locally run restaurants provide a unique atmosphere and menu that it's a change from the national run restaurants. that is certainly the case with third Street social. The older historic building that the restaurants located in creates a great atmosphere and ambience from the moment you walk in it's a fun and lively vibe. You are always greeted with a smile and a person that makes you feel welcome. Whether you sit in the restaurant or sit in a bar your guaranteed fantastic service meeting here and eating as a couple and the bar is great but so is bringing a business client to the other for lunch or dinner. Did a Saturday Happy Hour (yes, they have a weekend one) with some friends and saw the food going to tables and it looked so good! Decided to come for dinner the following week, as it had been a while since we had dined here. Everything was delicious, great menu selections and cooked perfectly. Great service with Tate and the crew! They all make you feel like family! There are several locations around the metro and so check one out soon. Third Street social it's a good restaurant, but the Chef does not know the difference between medium steak and medium well steak I like my steaks, MEDIUM not medium well or well done. Most places have a very limited happy hour menu, but Third Street Social has a lot of drink and food options. Happy hour seating is not only at the bar, but also high tops in the bar, a few booths, and the very nice outdoor patio. I've always enjoyed anything I've ordered here in the service is wonderful! Really bummed. We came into the restaurant prior to 9pm after driving across the country (from Seattle) with our family. After standing there for a few minutes and having several servers notice us standing there without being greeted a guy casually walked out from the back of the restaurant at 9:01 to inform us the kitchen closes at 9pm. We let him know they we literally drove across the country, had been waiting up front to be seated, and we thought that since the restaurant was open until 10pm we could still be served. Maybe this place is amazing. Sadly, we will never know. If I were the owner, I'd try to accommodate every potential customer and maximize every single experience. It matters. I will preface my review by saying this was our first visit and it was on Mother's Day 2026 and we made reservations 2 weeks out. Great decor and set up on the inside as far as being up to date and inviting. Food was pricey, but we did check out the menu ahead of time so we're kind of expecting this. A good variety was on the menu, and everyone in our party found a favorite, including dessert. The only issue we had was when we first arrived and were taken to our table. Our table was wedged up beside the bar and the kitchen window and there was very little room for us to even scoot in chairs. Anytime we wanted to get up (restroom, etc) we had to dodge the wait staff moving all around the kitchen window trying to get food out promptly. They also Sat us at an 8 top for our party of 6, and wouldn't allow us to move chairs so we were packed into the table w the extra chairs. Maybe we should try and visit on a non-holiday. I would recommend this place, but stay clear on a holiday! It was just too chaotic and both the hostess and our server MADE SURE to point out that it was Mother's Day and you just have to deal with the seating you get (that's why 4/5 stars.) Mississippi Catfish was great, as was the crab stuffed salmon! Highly recommend each of these menu items. read more

Wife's omelette was good but no arugula as advertised. Son's Ckn beni was enough for 2 and he rated it 10/10. Their Chicken Pot Pie has two ingredients listed on the menu..."White Wine Braised Chicken, House Pastry." I knew there would be more but, not a word about the whole, baby mushrooms. Unfortunately, we were sat right in front of a door, so every tome it opened, a brush of cold rainy air hit us. We ordered our drinks and it took 3 times for me to ask for my son's lemonade before he got it. He got his food before he got his drink. I ordered the Chicken and Waffle and he hadnthe Nashvill Hot Chicken with an order of Fries. His chicken he said had no flavor but hot. He enjoyed his fries. My chicken. Was dry and the Waffle wasn't good. My home fries were so hard, I couldn't even put my fork in them. Severely overcooked but so was the chicken. Our waitstaff wasn't super attentive to us but was for other tables. We saw her when we were sat, after our food came and I had to ask again for my son's drink and then when she brought over the check. Other staff members helped us. I definitely won't be going back. We came here for a birthday dinner with a party of 20. Our server, Bailey, was very rude from the beginning--we had to ask multiple times just to get water. We remained patient despite the poor service, but things escalated when we received our checks. One of our $30 bills was charged $125 instead. When we brought this to Bailey's attention, she said she would get her manager. She returned about five minutes later and told us the charge was voided but said she could not provide a receipt. We then asked to speak with a manager directly. Marissa, the assistant GM, came over and was extremely disrespectful. She laughed in our faces, dismissed the issue as a "minor mistake," and initially refused to provide a receipt showing the charge was voided. We spent over 20 minutes going back and forth with her. Eventually, she did give us the voided receipt--something that could have been done immediately instead of arguing with us. The entire situation was handled very unprofessionally. This was honestly one of the worst dining experience I've had. We were celebrating a friend's birthday and expected a nice night, but instead dealt with rude service and poor food. Our server barely checked on us, didn't refill water, and acted annoyed when we asked. She argued with us about lemons and wouldn't even bring kids' menus--just told us what was on them. We wanted the crayon for the kids. The food was disappointing and not enjoyable at all. What really crossed the line was the bill. Somehow a small charge turned into $130. When we asked for a receipt, the assistant general manager Marissa Cochran said the printer "wasn't working" and offered to write one by hand. When we said that made us uncomfortable, she became condescending instead of understanding. The entire situation felt unprofessional and left a very bad impression. I'm only giving it 1 star because I can't do negative stars. read more

I ordered biscuits and gravy 3/5 it was light on the gravy but the biscuits them drives were great. I asked for scrabled eggs with cheddar cheese it looked like they added cheese after the late was made and it shows . The food was luke warm once it came to the table. He also told us some history of the building which we had asked about and it was super cool! The restaurant was great aesthetically and was super busy because we went on a Saturday around 6, so busy was to be expected. It was a bit loud inside but again that was expected. We were in Lees Summit for Downtown Days and decided to check out Third Street Social. I ordered a Spiced Pear & Bourbon:Four Roses Bourbon, Pear Nectar, Spiced Simple, Lemon, Curacao. It was a beautiful drink. And it was super tasty. I was also able to try the Cranberry Cardamom Mule: Tito's Handmade Vodka, Cranberry Cardamom Simple, Ginger Beer. This cocktail was also delicious with strong cardamom flavors. For lunch I ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich: Smoked Bacon, Fontina Cheese, Garlic Aioli, House-Made Focaccia Bread. The focaccia bread was delicious and had a nice chew. I really appreciated the boujeeness of this grilled chicken sandwich and would definitely order it again. It came with fries but I upgraded to the Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese. That was the best decision of the day. This is some legit Mac and cheese. Super creamy and tangy and just straight up goodness. And the portion was huge! I was also able to try the Stacked Pastrami: House-Smoked, Fontina Cheese, Russian Dressing. This wasn't as good as the other dishes. The pastrami was super chewy and not tender. I would skip it the next time. The service was friendly but a bit slow. The restaurant wasn't super busy but it still took about an hour to get two sandwiches out. They may have been short with the festival going on so it wasn't a huge deal.
